Jellyverse Review 2026: JellySwap, jAssets and a Shrunken TVL
Jellyverse is a Sei-based DeFi suite built around the JellySwap DEX, staking and the jAssets synthetics protocol. Its TVL has fallen sharply from its 2024 peak and is now tiny, so liquidity is the main concern.

Our verdict on Jellyverse
4.5/10Jellyverse is a Sei-native DeFi suite with a DEX, staking and a synthetics protocol, and it has a record of real traction in 2024. It suits experienced users who want to explore small Sei projects and understand the risks of synthetic assets. The main caveat is liquidity. TVL is now only about $14.9K and falling, so trading is costly, exits can be hard and the project's momentum is uncertain. Treat it as a high-risk experiment.

What is Jellyverse?
Jellyverse is a DeFi ecosystem on the Sei network. It bundles a decentralized exchange, JellySwap, with a staking protocol and a synthetic assets protocol called jAssets. The project describes its approach as DeFi 3.0, aiming for a yield-driven setup with access to real-world assets.
JellySwap launched in April 2024 as the native venue for the JLY token. One news post reported that TVL tripled in a month to about $13.2M by September 2024, which made it one of the stronger DEXs on Sei at that point. The jAssets protocol was announced in January 2025.
The current picture is much weaker. TVL is around $14.9K and fell about 41.5% in the past week, so the protocol now holds only a sliver of its former liquidity. The homepage could not be reviewed, so users should confirm the project is still maintained through its verified social channels before depositing.
How Jellyverse works
JellySwap is a decentralized exchange. Users trade tokens directly from their wallets against liquidity pools funded by other users, who earn a share of trading fees. Prices come from the ratio of assets in each pool rather than an order book.
The staking protocol lets holders lock tokens, mainly JLY, to earn rewards and take part in governance. Reward sources and rates are not published in the material reviewed.
jAssets is the synthetics layer. A synthetic asset is a token that tracks the price of another asset, usually backed by collateral and priced by an oracle. The project says it aims to give access to synthetic and non-synthetic real-world assets. The quality of the collateral rules and oracle feeds decides how safe such a system is.

Key features
01
JellySwap DEX
JellySwap is the native DEX, launched in April 2024. It is the main trading venue for the JLY token and is presented as a portfolio management tool as well as a swap interface.
02
jAssets synthetics
The jAssets protocol, announced in January 2025, lets users get exposure to synthetic assets on Sei. The project positions it as access to both synthetic and non-synthetic real-world assets.
03
Staking protocol
A staking protocol is part of the ecosystem, giving JLY holders a way to earn rewards. Reward rates are not published in the material reviewed.
04
JLY utility token
JLY is a reward, governance and utility token. It ties the DEX, staking and synthetics products together.
05
Sei EVM deployment
The protocol runs on Sei, which supports parallel EVM execution. That means Ethereum-style wallets and tooling can be used.
06
Listed audits
Two audits are listed for the protocol. The auditors and scope are not detailed here.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Covers several products in one ecosystem: a DEX, staking and synthetics.
- Runs on Sei with EVM compatibility, so familiar wallets and tools apply.
- Two audits are listed for the protocol.
- JLY has a documented role in reward, governance and utility functions.
- Has a public track record since 2024, including a reported TVL peak of about $13.2M.
Watch out for
- On-chain value locked is now only about $14.9K, down roughly 41.5% in a week, which points to very thin liquidity.
- The Sept 2024 peak of about $13.2M has not held, so past traction is not a guide to current use.
- Synthetic assets add oracle and collateral risk on top of normal smart-contract risk.
- Fee levels, team details and the identity of the auditors are not published in the material reviewed.
- It depends on a single chain, Sei, so its fate is tied to that ecosystem.
- The JLY token trades at a very small fraction of a cent, which suggests weak market demand.
Jellyverse fees
Fee levels are not published in the material reviewed. Swap fees, any protocol fee on synthetics and staking reward splits would be shown in the JellySwap and jAssets interfaces before a transaction is confirmed.
On top of protocol fees, users pay network gas in SEI. With very thin liquidity, price impact and slippage can matter far more than the headline fee, so check the quoted output on any trade before signing.
Is Jellyverse safe?
Two audits are listed for the protocol, but the auditors, dates and findings are not detailed here, and an audit does not guarantee safety. The protocol's team and any bug bounty are not published in the material reviewed.
Users keep custody of their tokens in their own wallets, but funds deposited into pools, staking or synthetic collateral are exposed to smart-contract bugs, oracle failures and liquidity risk. With TVL near $15K, exits can be costly and a few large trades can move prices sharply. Synthetic assets and tokenized real-world exposure may also face regulatory questions depending on where you live. Only use funds you can afford to lose.
6 steps
How to get started with Jellyverse
- 1
Set up a wallet that supports Sei and keep a small amount of SEI for gas.
- 2
Find the official Jellyverse site through the project's verified social accounts rather than a search ad.
- 3
Connect the wallet and check that the contract addresses match the ones the project publishes.
- 4
Start with a small swap on JellySwap and review slippage and price impact before confirming.
- 5
Read the jAssets and staking pages for collateral rules and reward details before depositing.
- 6
Keep positions small, given the very low TVL, and review them regularly.
Who Jellyverse is for
Jellyverse suits experienced DeFi users who already use Sei, are comfortable with synthetic assets and thin liquidity, and want to follow a small ecosystem with its own token. It is a poor fit for beginners, anyone who needs deep liquidity, or users who want a long-running, widely used venue.
Jellyverse FAQs
What is Jellyverse?
Jellyverse is a DeFi ecosystem on the Sei network. It combines a decentralized exchange called JellySwap, a staking protocol and a synthetic assets protocol called jAssets. Its native token is JLY.
Which blockchain does Jellyverse use?
It runs on Sei, a layer-one blockchain with parallel EVM execution. Users need a Sei-compatible wallet and SEI for gas.
What does the JLY token do?
JLY is described in its white paper as a utility token that serves reward, governance and utility roles inside the ecosystem. It is not described as a share in a company or a claim on revenue.
What are jAssets?
jAssets is the synthetics protocol announced in January 2025. Synthetic assets track the price of another asset, including real-world assets, without the user holding the underlying asset. They rely on collateral and price oracles, which carry their own risks.
Is Jellyverse safe?
Two audits are listed for the protocol, but this review cannot confirm who performed them or what they covered. An audit lowers risk without removing it, and the current liquidity is very small, so only risk capital should be used.
How much liquidity does Jellyverse have?
Total value locked is about $14.9K and fell roughly 41.5% over the last seven days. One news post reported TVL of about $13.2M in September 2024, so activity has dropped a lot since then.
