Our verdict on BloctoSwap
BloctoSwap was an early and notable DEX on Flow, linking the chain to Ethereum liquidity through the Blocto wallet and bridge. It is no longer an option, because Blocto permanently shut it down on December 17, 2025. Anyone looking at it now should treat it as a closed product: check official channels for withdrawal guidance and look at other DEXes instead. Its history is useful context for Flow, but there is nothing active to use.

What is BloctoSwap?
BloctoSwap was a decentralized exchange on the Flow blockchain, built by the team behind the Blocto wallet. It used an automated market maker model and let users bring assets across from Ethereum. Sources describe it as the first DEX in the Flow ecosystem.
The service is no longer operating. Blocto announced the permanent shutdown of BloctoSwap, the Blocto wallet and the Blocto cross-chain bridge on December 17, 2025, effective December 18, 2025 at 7 PM Pacific time.
At its peak the exchange was a major venue on Flow. One 2022 article reports a trading volume of $403 million by the end of 2021. Tracking data lists it as an Ethereum-linked DEX with no token, no audits listed and no current TVL.
How BloctoSwap works
BloctoSwap was an automated market maker. Instead of matching buyers and sellers, it used pools of two tokens. Traders swapped against a pool, and the price moved based on the pool's ratio. Liquidity providers deposited tokens into pools and earned a share of trading fees.
The exchange ran on Flow. Assets from Ethereum could be brought over through Blocto's cross-chain transfer feature, called Teleport in the Blocto token white paper. A token such as USDT on Ethereum became a bridged version on Flow, which could then be swapped or used in Flow apps.
This design depended on the bridge and the Blocto wallet. When Blocto closed its wallet, swap and bridge services together, the whole flow stopped working.
5 features
Key features
01
Automated market making
Swaps ran through liquidity pools rather than an order book, the standard automated market maker design.
02
Flow-native DEX
Described as the first DEX on Flow, using the Cadence smart contract language.
03
Ethereum-Flow bridging
Teleport moved assets between Ethereum and Flow, letting users bring tokens such as USDT onto Flow.
04
Multiple swap pairs
Listed pairs included FLOW/USDT, BLT/USDT and REVV/FLOW.
05
Blocto wallet integration
It was tied to the Blocto smart wallet, which gave users a built-in way to hold and swap assets.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Was the first DEX on Flow, according to multiple sources
- Connected Ethereum and Flow through a built-in cross-chain transfer feature
- Integrated with the Blocto wallet for simple access
- Offered pairs for Flow ecosystem tokens such as REVV and BLT
- Reported 2021 trading volume of $403 million showed real early demand
Watch out for
- The service has been permanently shut down, so it can no longer be used for swaps
- No audits are listed in the tracking data
- No TVL or recent volume is published, so liquidity depth cannot be judged
- Fee schedule and team details were never confirmed
- Bridged assets added an extra layer of cross-chain risk
- Homepage could not be reached, so no first-party documentation is available
BloctoSwap fees
BloctoSwap's fee schedule is not published in the sources available, and the DEX is now closed. Swap fees on AMMs are typically a percentage of each trade that goes to liquidity providers, plus network gas costs, but the exact BloctoSwap rate cannot be confirmed here.
Bridging between Ethereum and Flow would also have involved gas costs on the source chain. With the service shut down, there are no live fees to check.
Is BloctoSwap safe?
BloctoSwap is permanently closed, so the main safety concern now is making sure any leftover funds or approvals are dealt with through Blocto's official channels. Revoke token approvals for old contracts if you still hold any, and ignore messages that claim to offer recovery.
The tracking data lists no audits for the project, and no audit reports were found in the sources. Cross-chain bridges as a category carry added smart-contract and custody risk. No hack is reported in the sources; the closure is described as a planned shutdown.

Who BloctoSwap is for
Nobody can use BloctoSwap now that it has closed. This page is useful for people who held assets or liquidity positions on it, researchers following Flow's early DeFi history, and users comparing how bridged AMM exchanges worked.
BloctoSwap FAQs
Is BloctoSwap still working?
No. Public reporting report that Blocto announced the permanent shutdown of BloctoSwap and its other core services on December 17, 2025, with termination effective December 18, 2025 at 7 PM Pacific time.
What was BloctoSwap?
It was an inter-chain automated market maker DEX built on Flow, with assets bridged from Ethereum. Sources describe it as the first DEX in the Flow ecosystem.
How did cross-chain transfers work on BloctoSwap?
Blocto's token white paper describes a feature called Teleport, which enabled cross-chain transfers between Ethereum and Flow. Users could, for example, convert USDT from other chains into a wrapped version on Flow. The Blocto cross-chain bridge was also part of the shutdown.
Which pairs did BloctoSwap offer?
Reported pairs included FLOW and USDT, BLT and USDT, and REVV and FLOW. BLT was the Blocto token. The pairs are no longer tradable now that the service has closed.
What should former users do about funds?
Any remaining assets should be handled according to the instructions Blocto published around the shutdown announcement. Check Blocto's official channels, and be wary of anyone offering recovery help in exchange for your keys or funds.
