Aptin Finance Review 2026: Aptos Lending and Borrowing Protocol
Aptin Finance is an algorithmic, non-custodial lending and borrowing protocol built on Aptos. Its docs are detailed on interest, liquidations and oracles, but they look dated and key figures are not published up front.

Our verdict on Aptin Finance
5.5/10Aptin Finance suits DeFi users on Aptos who want a non-custodial place to lend or borrow and who will read the docs before depositing. Its main strength is a well-organised documentation set that covers interest, liquidations, oracles and risks. The main caveat is age and opacity: the docs appear to be about two years old, the auditor and fee details are not stated up front, and wider cross-chain claims come from a single source. Confirm the current app status before committing funds.

What is Aptin Finance?
Aptin Finance is a decentralized lending and borrowing protocol on the Aptos blockchain, created by AptinLabs Foundation. Users can supply assets to earn interest or borrow against collateral. The docs describe it as algorithmic and aimed at broader financial access.
The documentation is organised into pages on the protocol, interest model, liquidations, oracles, audit, risks, roadmap and a points program. The app menu lists Dashboard, Markets, Stake, Points, Governance and Bridge. The docs also include a testnet getting-started guide from the early days.
One search result describes Aptin as a cross-chain lending platform covering Aptos and Sui, with support for coins, AMM LP coins and NFTs. The docs introduction only names Aptos, so treat the wider scope as unconfirmed. The docs also say they were last updated about two years ago, so users should confirm current status in the app.
How Aptin Finance works
Aptin is a liquidity market. Depositors supply assets into shared pools and earn interest. Borrowers draw from those pools by posting collateral, and they pay interest. Because the protocol is non-custodial, users keep control of their wallets and interact through smart contracts instead of handing funds to a company.
Interest rates are set algorithmically. In general, rates for an asset rise as more of its pool is borrowed, which encourages repayment and new deposits. Aptin's docs have an Interest Model page for the exact formula.
Each collateral asset has a loan-to-value ratio that limits borrowing. The docs give an example of 80%, meaning a user can borrow up to 80% of the collateral's value. If prices move and the position falls below the safe threshold, it can be liquidated. Price oracles feed the values used for these checks.
7 features
Key features
01
Lending and borrowing
Users deposit assets to earn interest or borrow against collateral through pooled liquidity on Aptos.
02
Algorithmic interest model
Interest rates are set algorithmically, and the docs have a dedicated Interest Model page explaining the mechanism.
03
LTV-based borrowing limits
Each collateral has an LTV that caps borrowing. The docs give 80% as an example, meaning a user can borrow up to 80% of its value.
04
Liquidations and oracles
Separate docs pages cover liquidations and price oracles, the two mechanisms that protect the protocol when collateral falls in value.
05
Staking, governance and bridge
The app navigation lists Dashboard, Markets, Stake, Points, Governance and Bridge sections.
06
Points program
A Points Program is documented and introduced in a Medium post, tied to protocol activity.
07
Wider asset support (reported)
One source says Aptin also supports AMM LP coins and NFTs as lending assets across Aptos and Sui.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Clear documentation structure with dedicated pages on interest, liquidations, oracles, audit and risks.
- Non-custodial design: users interact with smart contracts from their own wallet.
- Built natively on Aptos, a chain with fast, low-cost transactions.
- Docs include an explicit Risks page and a disclaimer.
- Official channels are listed: GitHub, Discord, Telegram, Medium and X.
Watch out for
- Documentation was last updated about two years ago, so it may not match the current app.
- The auditor and audit scope are not named in the docs text reviewed, so readers must check the audit page themselves.
- Fee levels, interest rate parameters and collateral factors per asset are not summarised in the introduction.
- The docs include a testnet getting-started guide, and the live state of each feature is not clear from the introduction.
- Cross-chain, NFT and LP-collateral features are reported by only one source and are not confirmed in the docs introduction.
- Lending protocols carry liquidation, oracle and smart-contract risk, and the project's own Risks page warns of price depreciation.
Aptin Finance fees
Aptin does not publish a fee table in the docs introduction. Borrowers pay interest set by the algorithmic interest model, and depositors earn a share of it. Current rates for each asset appear in the Markets section of the app.
Any protocol fees, liquidation penalties and Aptos network gas costs are not stated in the pages reviewed. Check the Interest Model and Liquidations pages and the live Markets view before opening a position.
Is Aptin Finance safe?
The docs have an Audit page and the app shows an "audited by" section, but the audit firm and findings are not named in the introduction reviewed. Read the audit report itself and check what code it covered. An audit lowers but does not remove smart-contract risk.
As a lending protocol, Aptin exposes users to liquidation if collateral falls, oracle errors, and bugs in contract code. The project's Risks page warns that token prices can fall. Aptin's docs include a declaration and disclaimer page. The team and any licensing or regulatory status are not published in the introduction. No incidents are mentioned in the reviewed material. Never deposit more than you can afford to lose.

How to get started with Aptin Finance
- 1
Read the Introduction, Risks, Audit and Liquidations pages in the docs.
- 2
Set up an Aptos-compatible wallet and fund it with a small amount of APT for gas.
- 3
Open the Aptin app and connect the wallet. Confirm the web address matches the one linked from the official docs.
- 4
Review the Markets section for supported assets, rates and loan-to-value limits.
- 5
Deposit a small amount first to see how interest accrues.
- 6
If you borrow, keep your loan well below the maximum LTV and monitor your position.
- 7
Check the Points page if you want to understand how activity may be rewarded.
Who Aptin Finance is for
Aptin suits experienced DeFi users on Aptos who understand collateralized loans, LTV ratios and liquidation risk. It may also interest users following points programs. Beginners should start with small amounts and read the Risks and Liquidations pages first.
Aptin Finance FAQs
What is Aptin Finance?
Aptin Finance is a decentralized lending and borrowing protocol on the Aptos blockchain. Users can deposit assets to earn interest or borrow against collateral. It was created by AptinLabs Foundation.
How does Aptin Finance work?
The docs describe it as a non-custodial liquidity market. Depositors supply assets to pools, and borrowers draw from them against collateral. A loan-to-value ratio sets the borrowing limit, so a collateral with an 80% LTV allows borrowing up to 80% of its value.
Does Aptin support chains other than Aptos?
One search result describes Aptin as a cross-chain lending platform on Aptos and Sui that also accepts AMM LP coins and NFTs. The docs introduction only mentions Aptos, so check the live app for the current list of supported chains and assets.
Does Aptin have a points program or airdrop?
The docs list a Points Program and a Medium post introduces it. The reward rules, any token and its value are not covered in the introduction. Read the Points Program page before assuming any reward.
Is Aptin Finance safe?
No lending protocol is risk-free. The docs include an Audit page and a Risks page, and the app mentions an audit. Users still face smart-contract bugs, oracle errors, liquidation and token price swings, and should read those pages first.
What happens if my collateral value drops?
Positions that fall below the required collateral level can be liquidated. The docs have a dedicated Liquidations page covering how this works. Borrowers should keep a buffer below the maximum LTV.
