Our verdict on Alcor Exchange
6.8/10Alcor Exchange suits users already in the WAX, XPR Network, Telos or Vaulta ecosystems who want a self-custody DEX with order books, pools, farms, OTC and a bridge in one place. Its main strength is breadth of tools across several smaller chains with no KYC or listing fees. The main caveat is low liquidity and volume, plus an undocumented bridge model, so traders should start small, check slippage and read the audits and bridge docs before moving significant funds.

What is Alcor Exchange?
Alcor Exchange is a decentralized exchange focused on a group of smaller chains: XPR Network, WAX, Vaulta and Telos. DefiLlama lists it in the DEX category and has tracked it since March 2022. The homepage describes it as a DEX since 2020 with self-custody, no KYC and no listing fees.
The product covers more than swaps. The navigation shows spot order books, a swap tool, liquidity pools, farms, liquid staking, analytics, a portfolio view, OTC trading and a bridge. Its stated pitch is that you can bring assets from Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Sui and NEAR without a custodian.
Activity is modest. The homepage shows roughly $39.6K of 24-hour volume and $2.99M of liquidity, while DefiLlama lists TVL at about $602K. The two figures are measured differently, so treat them as rough indicators. Top markets such as EASY / XUSDC, XXRP / XPR and TLM / WAX show only thousands of dollars in daily volume.
How Alcor Exchange works
Alcor is a decentralized exchange. You connect a wallet and trade directly from it, so the exchange does not hold your funds in an account. Trades happen either against liquidity pools, where an automated formula sets the price from the pool balance, or against order books, where buyers and sellers post bids and asks.
Liquidity providers deposit token pairs into pools and earn a share of the pool's fee tier, which ranges from 0.01% to 1% on the pools shown. Farms add incentives for some pools. Liquid staking is also listed under Earn.
The bridge is the cross-chain piece. The homepage says users can bring stablecoins and native coins from Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Sui and NEAR to the supported chains without a custodian in between. The project does not explain the bridge's mechanism, so a newcomer should treat it as a separate risk from the DEX itself.
7 features
Key features
01
Spot order books
The terminal and spot section provide order-book style trading alongside simple swaps, so users can place limit orders or trade at pool prices.
02
Swaps and liquidity pools
Users can swap tokens through liquidity pools or add liquidity to pools. Visible pools use fee tiers of 0.01%, 0.05%, 0.3% and 1%.
03
Farms and staking
The navigation lists Farms and liquid staking under an Earn section, giving liquidity providers and holders ways to put assets to work.
04
Built-in bridge
Alcor runs its own bridge for moving stablecoins and native coins from Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Sui and NEAR, which the site says involves no custodian.
05
OTC trading
An OTC section is listed alongside trading, for trades outside the public order books.
06
Analytics and portfolio
Pages for analytics and a portfolio view show market data, top pools, new tokens and trending tokens by volume.
07
Open token listings

Pros and cons
What we like
- Non-custodial design: the site says users keep self-custody and trade from their own wallet.
- Covers four ecosystems (XPR Network, WAX, Vaulta, Telos) in one interface, with bridge support from Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Sui and NEAR.
- Broad toolset: order books, swaps, pools, farms, liquid staking, OTC and analytics.
- No KYC and no listing fees according to the homepage.
- Long operating history claimed (DEX since 2020) and listed on DefiLlama since 2022, with two audits listed there.
- Pool fee tiers are visible per market, from 0.01% to 1%.
Watch out for
- Trading volume is small: the homepage shows about $39.6K over 24 hours, so large orders may move prices.
- Many pools are thin, for example some listed top markets show only a few thousand dollars or less in TVL.
- Most activity is on smaller chains (XPR Network, WAX, Telos, Vaulta) with less tooling and fewer users than Ethereum-based DEXs.
- The homepage notes that Vaulta and Telos markets could not be reached when its data loaded, which points to occasional data gaps.
- Bridge fees, limits and security design are not described publicly, so users must check these before moving funds.
- No native token is listed, and audit details beyond a count of two on DefiLlama are not given.
Alcor Exchange fees
Alcor does not publish a single fee schedule. The homepage shows pool fee tiers for individual markets: 0.01% for WAX / USDT, 0.05% for EASY / XUSDC and XUSDC / XUSDT, 0.3% for TLM / WAX, and 1% for XXRP / XPR and XSOL / XPR. The site also says there are no listing fees.
Network transaction costs and bridge fees are not stated publicly. Users would see them in the swap or bridge interface before confirming, and the documentation is the place to check for details.
Is Alcor Exchange safe?
Alcor is non-custodial, so there is no exchange account holding your funds, but smart-contract risk and bridge risk remain. DefiLlama lists two audits for the project; the auditors and scope are not given publicly, so check the documentation for reports. Bridges are a common target for exploits in crypto, and the project does not describe how Alcor's bridge is secured.
The site states there is no KYC. Regulatory status is not described publicly. Liquidity is thin in many pools, which raises slippage and price manipulation risk on small tokens, and newly listed tokens may carry extra risk because listing is free. No hacks or shutdowns are mentioned publicly, but that is not proof none occurred. This is not financial advice.
6 steps
How to get started with Alcor Exchange
- 1
Open the official Alcor site and check the Status page to see whether the chain you want is available.
- 2
Pick a network (XPR Network, WAX, Vaulta or Telos) and connect a compatible self-custody wallet.
- 3
If your assets are on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Sui or NEAR, read the bridge documentation, then try a small test transfer.
- 4
Use Swap for a quick trade or the Terminal for order-book trading, and check the pool fee tier and liquidity before confirming.
- 5
Check price impact on thin pools, since many markets have only a few thousand dollars of TVL.
- 6
To earn, review the Pool, Farms or Stake pages and understand impermanent loss before adding liquidity.
Who Alcor Exchange is for
Alcor is for traders, liquidity providers and token holders in the WAX, XPR Network, Telos and Vaulta ecosystems who want a non-custodial venue for those tokens. It also suits projects that want to list a token without paying a listing fee. Users who need deep liquidity for large trades or a well-documented bridge security model may find it limiting.
