What XPR Network is
XPR Network, previously known as Proton, is a public blockchain and smart contract platform that describes itself as built for consumer applications and peer-to-peer payments. The project began in San Francisco. Its main idea is to tie an on-chain account to a verified identity and to bank or card accounts, so that people can move between ordinary money and crypto without leaving the app they are using.
The network runs on Delegated Proof-of-Stake. Instead of every holder helping to validate blocks, a limited set of elected block producers does that work, and token holders vote on who those producers are. XPR is the native asset of that system. Our data lists XPR under governance tokens, which fits the voting role, though the token also has other uses covered below.
At the time of writing, XPR ranked around 416 by market capitalization, so it is a small-cap asset. Smaller projects tend to have thinner trading and fewer independent sources of information, which is worth keeping in mind as you read further.
What the token is used for
Public sources we have confirm that XPR is a governance token, and the consensus design points to the usual Delegated Proof-of-Stake roles. Holders can stake XPR and use it to vote for block producers. Staking is also the usual way accounts on this style of chain obtain network resources, so that everyday actions can be low-cost or free for the end user. Check the project's own documentation for the current details, because these mechanics can change.
Beyond that, XPR is the asset tied to the network's wallet, identity and payments features. The project pitch is that a person can verify who they are, link a fiat account, buy crypto and spend it in apps. Which of those features is live, and in which regions, varies and should be checked directly with the project.
We do not have verified data on specific fee-burn mechanisms, treasury rules or revenue sharing, so we leave those out rather than guess.
Supply and tokenomics
As of 2026-11-05, about 28.65 billion XPR were in circulation, out of a total supply of roughly 32.39 billion. Our data shows no fixed maximum supply, which means the total could in principle change depending on the protocol's issuance rules. We have no verified details on how any new issuance works, so check the project's documentation if that matters to you.
The gap between circulating and total supply is about 3.7 billion tokens. That explains why the fully diluted valuation, about $61.0M, sits above the market cap of about $53.9M. We do not have verified data on the original allocation between founders, team, investors and community, or on any vesting schedules, so we are not describing them here.
The price was about $0.0019 on that date. The token trades in fractions of a cent, so a large unit count is normal and says little about value on its own. Market cap is the more useful number for comparing it with other assets.
Chains and how it is held and traded
XPR has its own native chain, built on technology from the EOSIO and Antelope family, and that is where staking and governance take place. Our data does not list it as the native token of any chain in its tracked set, but it does show XPR issued on Ethereum and BNB Chain. Those are token versions on other networks, typically used to make trading and decentralized exchange access easier.
Because there are several versions, it matters which one you hold. A token on Ethereum or BNB Chain is held in a standard wallet for that network, while native XPR sits in an account on the XPR Network chain, which has human-readable account names rather than long addresses. Moving between them generally requires a bridge or an exchange that supports the route you want.
In general terms, XPR is available on some centralized exchanges and some decentralized ones. Daily trading volume was around $1.0M at the time of writing, which is modest. Thin order books can mean noticeable slippage on larger orders.
History and notable events
The project launched as Proton and later operated under the XPR Network name. We do not have a verified launch date in our data, so we won't give one.
Price history shows how volatile the token has been. Its recorded all-time high was about $0.1001 on 2020-04-27, and its all-time low was about $0.00055 on 2023-10-19. At about $0.0019 on 2026-11-05, the price sat far below that peak and well above the low. Over the previous year it had fallen by roughly 53 percent, while the prior seven days showed a gain of about 1.8 percent.
One note from market data: the token is tagged as part of a market maker's portfolio. That label describes a relationship in the market and is not an endorsement. We do not have verified details on specific partnerships, audits or major protocol upgrades, so we have left them out. For a timeline of releases, rely on the project's own announcements.
Risks to understand
The first risk is market risk. XPR is small, thinly traded relative to large assets, and has lost more than half its value over the past year. Large swings in either direction are normal for tokens of this size.
Second is the identity and fiat-linking model. Features that connect real identities and bank accounts to a blockchain depend on regulation, on third-party providers and on the region you live in. They can change or become unavailable.
Third is concentration. Delegated Proof-of-Stake relies on a small number of block producers, and voting power can cluster among large holders or exchanges. The lack of a fixed maximum supply in our data adds uncertainty about future dilution.
Fourth is technical risk. Bridges and wrapped versions on other chains introduce smart contract and custody risk, and wallets or dApps in a smaller ecosystem may have less scrutiny. Finally, there is a liquidity risk: when volume is low, it can be hard to exit a position at a fair price. None of this is advice to buy or sell.
How to store XPR safely
Where you store XPR depends on which version you hold. For native XPR, use a wallet that supports the XPR Network chain and its account model, and confirm that it comes from the project's official channels. For the Ethereum or BNB Chain versions, a standard wallet for that network works, and a hardware wallet adds protection for larger amounts.
Write down your recovery phrase offline and never type it into a website, a chat or a support form. No genuine team will ask for it. Keep a separate copy in a second secure place so that losing one does not cost you access.
Before sending any meaningful amount, send a small test transaction first. Check the network, the account name or address, and any memo or tag an exchange requires. Sending the wrong version to the wrong network can mean lost funds.
If you stake or vote, read what the wallet is authorizing. Revoke approvals you no longer need on Ethereum and BNB Chain. Leaving tokens on an exchange is convenient, but you then rely on that company.
By the numbers
XPR Network in numbers
XPR Network (XPR) is ranked #430 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $51.2M and a price of $0.001788 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $57.9M, so roughly 88% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 1.8% over 7 days, down 22.2% over 30 days, down 57.6% over the past year. It trades about 98% below its all-time high of $0.1001, set on Apr 27, 2020.
About 28.65B XPR are in circulation, from a total supply of 32.39B. No hard maximum supply is listed.
24-hour trading volume was about $1.01M, or 2.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
XPR has token contracts on 2 chains we track, including Ethereum, BNB Chain. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
