What Oasis is
Oasis is a layer-1 blockchain designed for applications that need confidentiality. Most public chains show every transaction and contract state to anyone, which is a problem for uses like personal data, business logic or AI workloads. Oasis tries to address that with privacy-focused tooling while staying compatible with the Ethereum developer ecosystem.
The project describes several main pieces. Sapphire is an EVM-compatible network where smart contract data can be kept confidential. The Oasis Privacy Layer is meant to let dApps on other EVM chains add privacy features through cross-chain messaging. Runtime Offchain Logic is a framework for running off-chain computation and tying the results back to onchain applications. The network uses a layered design, with a consensus layer underneath separate runtime layers where applications execute.
The network runs on proof of stake. ROSE is its native token. At the time of writing, the token ranked around 452 by market capitalisation, which puts it among the smaller established layer-1 projects rather than the largest ones.
What ROSE is used for
ROSE has a few practical roles, and public sources describe them consistently. First, it pays transaction fees, often called gas, so anyone using an application on the network needs a small amount of ROSE. Second, it is used for staking. Validators lock up ROSE to take part in securing the consensus layer. Third, it supports delegation, meaning holders who do not run a validator can assign their tokens to one and share in the associated rewards and risks.
Because Oasis separates its consensus layer from its runtime layers, the token's role is described most clearly at the consensus level. Fees on the runtimes, such as Sapphire, are also paid in ROSE according to the project's documentation.
ROSE is not described as a stablecoin or as a claim on any company's revenue. Its value comes from demand for network usage and staking, which can rise or fall independently of how good the technology is. Anyone reading about governance or other uses should check the project's current documentation, since details can change.
Supply and tokenomics
ROSE has a capped supply. The maximum and total supply are both 10 billion tokens. As of 2026-11-05, about 8.12 billion were circulating, roughly 81 percent of the cap. The remaining tokens are expected to enter circulation over time under the project's emission and unlock arrangements. I do not have the detailed schedule here, so check the official documentation for it.
That gap matters for valuation. At the time of writing, the market cap was about $49.1 million, while the fully diluted valuation, which assumes all 10 billion tokens exist, was about $60.4 million. The difference shows how much value is tied to tokens not yet circulating.
Staking rewards are a source of new circulating supply, and they are paid to those who stake and delegate. Rewards therefore have a dilution effect on holders who do not stake. Reported fundraising figures from third-party summaries suggest around $46 million was raised from investors before and around launch, but treat that as an approximate, secondary figure.
Chains, holding and trading
ROSE is the native token of the Oasis Network's own chain. In the data used for this page, it is also listed as issued on BNB Chain, which indicates a bridged or wrapped version exists there. That version is a separate token contract, and holding it is not the same as holding native ROSE on Oasis, although the two are linked through a bridging arrangement.
In general terms, people hold ROSE in one of three ways. They can keep it on a centralised exchange, which is simple but means trusting the exchange. They can hold native ROSE in a self-custody wallet that supports the Oasis network. Or they can hold a wrapped version in an ordinary EVM-style wallet on another chain.
Trading mostly happens on centralised exchanges, with some decentralised exchange liquidity for wrapped versions. At the time of writing, 24-hour trading volume was about $1.8 million, which is modest. Thin volume can make larger orders move the price and can widen the gap between buy and sell prices.
History and notable events
Oasis was among the privacy-focused smart contract networks that drew attention from well-known crypto investors. Portfolio listings associate it with firms such as Pantera Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Polychain Capital, Blockchain Capital and YZi Labs, formerly Binance Labs. Those associations reflect early backing, not a guarantee of future performance.
Market history has been rough. ROSE hit its all-time high of about $0.597 on 2022-01-14. Its all-time low, about $0.0050, was recorded on 2026-07-28, which is recent relative to the date of this page. As of 2026-11-05, the price was about $0.006, down roughly 62 percent over one year and about 8 percent over the past week.
Over time the project's pitch has shifted from general privacy for decentralised finance and data to confidential smart contracts, cross-chain privacy and support for AI-related use cases. I do not have a verified launch date in the data, so I am not stating one here.
Risks to understand
Price risk comes first. The drop from the 2022 high to a price near the all-time low shows how far a small-cap token can fall, and past declines do not indicate what happens next. Low trading volume adds liquidity risk.
Adoption risk is also real. Privacy features are only valuable if developers and users build on them, and Oasis competes with other layer-1 networks and with privacy tools built on other chains. Regulatory attitudes toward privacy technology can vary by country and may affect exchange listings or usage.
Technical risks include smart contract bugs, bridge failures and the complexity of confidential computing, which depends on specialised hardware and software assumptions. If you use a wrapped ROSE on BNB Chain, you take on bridge and contract risk on top of the base token risk.
Staking carries its own risks. Delegated tokens can be subject to lock-up or unbonding periods, and a validator that misbehaves can cause penalties. Supply that is yet to unlock can create selling pressure. Nothing here is investment advice, and anyone considering ROSE should only use money they can afford to lose.
How to store ROSE safely
Storage choices depend on how much you hold and how you plan to use it. Keeping tokens on an exchange is convenient, but the exchange controls the keys, so you carry counterparty risk. For larger or longer-term holdings, self-custody is generally preferred.
For native ROSE, use a wallet that explicitly supports the Oasis network, and check that its software comes from the project's official channels. A hardware wallet, where compatible, keeps your private keys offline and is a common choice for larger balances. Write your recovery phrase on paper, store it somewhere safe and never type it into a website or share it with anyone, including anyone claiming to be support.
Before sending a meaningful amount, send a small test transfer. Check the network carefully, because native ROSE and the BNB Chain version are not interchangeable, and sending to the wrong network can cause permanent loss. If you stake or delegate, confirm the validator's track record and the unbonding period first. Be cautious of fake airdrops, lookalike wallet apps and unsolicited messages.
By the numbers
Oasis in numbers
Oasis (ROSE) is ranked #460 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $47.3M and a price of $0.005824 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $58.2M, so roughly 81% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 4.7% over 7 days, down 26.3% over 30 days, down 66.7% over the past year. It trades about 99% below its all-time high of $0.5973, set on Jan 14, 2022.
About 8.12B ROSE are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 10B (81% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $1.89M, or 4.0% of its market cap: moderate turnover.
ROSE has token contracts on BNB Chain. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

ROSE FAQs
What is ROSE used for?
ROSE pays transaction fees on the Oasis Network and is used for staking and delegation, which help secure the proof-of-stake consensus layer. It also acts as the gas token for applications running on the network, including its confidential EVM environment, Sapphire.
What is the Oasis Network?
Oasis is a layer-1 blockchain that focuses on confidential applications. It offers Sapphire, a private EVM network, the Oasis Privacy Layer for adding privacy to dApps on other EVM chains, and Runtime Offchain Logic for off-chain computation.
What is the maximum supply of ROSE?
The maximum supply is 10 billion ROSE, which is also the total supply. As of 2026-11-05, about 8.12 billion were circulating. The rest is expected to enter circulation over time, so check the project's documentation for the schedule.
Is ROSE on BNB Chain or its own blockchain?
ROSE is the native token of the Oasis Network's own chain. A version is also issued on BNB Chain, which is a separate token contract linked by bridging. The two are not interchangeable without using a bridge or an exchange, so check the network before sending.
Can you stake ROSE?
Yes. Holders can stake ROSE directly with a validator or delegate it to one at the consensus layer, and receive rewards in return. Rewards vary, there may be an unbonding period, and a validator's misbehaviour can lead to penalties, so research before delegating.
Why has the ROSE price fallen so much?
Prices move for many reasons, including broad market conditions, trading volume and expected token unlocks. As of 2026-11-05, ROSE was down roughly 62 percent over one year and traded far below its 2022 all-time high. This page does not predict future prices or give buy or sell advice.
What is the market cap of Oasis?
As of Nov 6, 2026, Oasis had a market cap of about $47.3M, ranking #460 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
