VaultCraft Review 2026: Automated Yield Vaults and Call Options

VaultCraft is a multichain DeFi yield protocol that lets users deposit into automated vaults, build their own strategies and add perpetual call options. It has a named audit and bug bounty list, but tracked TVL is small.

Good

Our verdict on VaultCraft

7.0/10

VaultCraft suits DeFi users who want automated, multichain yield without managing each position, and strategists who want to deploy their own vaults. Its main strengths are the one-click zap, a named list of five audit firms and an active bug bounty. The main caveat is size and clarity: tracked TVL is under $1 million against a $100M homepage figure, fees are not published, and the perpetual call option layer adds complexity. Start small and read the docs first.

What is VaultCraft?

VaultCraft is a DeFi yield protocol that has been listed since May 2022. It describes itself as a place to build, deploy and zap into automated yield strategies, with a focus on censorship resistance and a simple user experience.

The current version, marketed as the v2 era, centres on tokenized yield combined with perpetual call options. The product lineup on the homepage includes Smart Vaults, Boost Vaults and a management area, and the protocol runs on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon, Optimism, Base, BNB Chain and Hemi.

The homepage names Jump Crypto, New Form, Big Brain and The LAO as investors and lists Immunefi, BlockSec, Code4rena, Paladin and Zokyo as auditors. Its native token is VCX. The homepage shows a TVL of $100M, while tracked on-chain TVL is about $547,000, so the live deposit base looks much smaller than the headline number.

How VaultCraft works

VaultCraft pools user deposits into vaults. Each vault runs a strategy that allocates the funds to yield-generating products elsewhere in DeFi, such as lending or liquidity positions, and the vault's share value reflects the yield earned. Users hold a vault share and redeem it for the underlying asset plus returns.

A zap feature is meant to shorten the path in. Instead of bridging, swapping and depositing separately, a user can send crypto from any chain and have it routed into the chosen product in a single step, according to the project's description.

The v2 era adds perpetual call options on top of these vaults. A call option gains value if an asset's price rises, and the project says it uses them to optimize vault returns. Anyone can also build and deploy a custom strategy, which makes the protocol both a product for depositors and a toolkit for strategy creators.

7 features

Key features

01

Smart Vaults

Pooled vaults that route deposits into yield strategies automatically, so users do not manage each position by hand.

02

Boost Vaults

A separate vault product, which the homepage lists alongside Smart Vaults, aimed at increasing returns for depositors.

03

One-click zaps

Users can move crypto from any chain into a chosen yield product in one step, according to the project's description.

04

Custom strategy builder

Developers and strategists can deploy their own automated DeFi yield strategies, as the Build option on the homepage indicates.

05

Perpetual call options

The v2 era adds perpetual call options on top of vault yield, which the project pitches as institutional-grade tokenized yield.

06

Multichain deployment

The protocol runs on seven networks, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Polygon, BNB Chain and Hemi.

07

Governance tools

A forum and Snapshot voting page are linked from the homepage for community decisions.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Named audit firms and an Immunefi bug bounty are listed on the homepage
  • One-click zaps from any chain simplify entry into yield products
  • Open strategy builder lets third parties deploy their own vaults
  • Runs across seven networks, including major Ethereum layer 2s
  • Named institutional investors are listed, and the protocol has been live since 2022
  • Governance runs through a public forum and Snapshot

Watch out for

  • Tracked TVL is roughly $547,000, far below the $100M figure shown on the homepage, so the scale of live deposits is unclear
  • Perpetual call options add a layer of complexity that beginners may find hard to evaluate
  • Strategies depend on third-party DeFi protocols, so a failure in any of them can hit vault depositors
  • Fee levels for vaults and zaps are not published on the homepage
  • Audits reduce but do not remove smart-contract risk, and the audit reports' scope and dates are not summarised on the homepage
  • Team members are not named on the homepage

VaultCraft fees

VaultCraft does not publish a fee schedule on its homepage. Vault products of this kind commonly charge performance or management fees, and zaps involve network gas plus any swap costs, but the exact rates are not stated.

Users should check each vault's page in the app and the documentation before depositing, since fees can differ by vault and strategy.

Is VaultCraft safe?

The homepage lists Immunefi, BlockSec, Code4rena, Paladin and Zokyo as auditors and links an Immunefi bug bounty. A bounty program and multiple reviews are positive signs, though the scope and dates of each audit are not summarised on the homepage. Vaults depend on other DeFi protocols, so a bug or exploit downstream can affect depositors.

As a non-custodial protocol, funds sit in smart contracts rather than with a company. The project does not publish a regulatory status, and the team behind it is not named on the homepage. No incidents are mentioned. Treat any yield product as high risk and never deposit more than you can lose.

6 steps

How to get started with VaultCraft

  1. 1

Read the VaultCraft docs to understand Smart Vaults, Boost Vaults and the perpetual call option design.

  2. 2

Check that the audit and bug bounty details on the homepage match your own comfort level with risk.

  3. 3

Connect a self-custody wallet and choose a supported chain such as Ethereum, Arbitrum or Base.

  4. 4

Open the app and compare vault strategies, their underlying protocols and any listed fees.

  5. 5

Start with a small deposit, or use the zap feature to enter from another chain, and confirm the transaction.

  6. 6

Monitor your position and withdraw when you wish, keeping in mind gas costs and any vault terms.

Who VaultCraft is for

VaultCraft is for crypto holders comfortable with self-custody wallets who want vault-based yield across several chains, and for developers or strategists who want to build and deploy their own automated strategies. Complete beginners should learn how vaults and options work before depositing.

VaultCraft FAQs

What is VaultCraft?

VaultCraft is a DeFi yield-optimizing protocol. Users deposit crypto into automated vaults that put funds to work across other DeFi products, and developers can deploy their own strategies.

Which blockchains does VaultCraft support?

The protocol is listed on Arbitrum, Ethereum, Polygon, Optimism, Base, BNB Chain and Hemi. Which vaults are available depends on the chain, so check the app before depositing.

What is the VCX token?

VCX is the protocol's token. The homepage links to a Buy VCX option and to governance through a forum and Snapshot, which points to a governance role, though the token's exact mechanics are in the docs.

Has VaultCraft been audited?

The homepage lists Immunefi, BlockSec, Code4rena, Paladin and Zokyo under Audited By, and a bug bounty runs through Immunefi. An audit lowers risk but does not guarantee safety, so deposit only what you can afford to lose.

Is the yield on VaultCraft fixed?

No yield is guaranteed. Returns depend on the underlying strategies, market conditions and, for some vaults, the performance of perpetual call options. Rates change over time, and the app shows current figures.

Is VaultCraft safe to use?

It is a non-custodial DeFi protocol, so you interact with it from your own wallet. Smart-contract, strategy and market risks apply, and the project does not publish a guarantee against loss.
