Our verdict on Toobit

6.9/10

Toobit suits active traders who want perpetual futures, copy trading and bots in one place, and who are comfortable with a custodial exchange. Its main strengths are the broad product range, advertised zero-fee spot trading and published Proof of Reserves. The main caveat is risk: leverage of up to 500x is dangerous, no licence or audit is listed publicly, and most trust signals are self-reported. Beginners should start with the demo mode and small amounts.

What is Toobit?

Toobit is a centralized cryptocurrency exchange. Its homepage lists spot trading, USDT-M and USDC-M perpetual futures, event contracts, a prediction market, copy trading, trading bots and a TradFi section for metals and stocks. DefiLlama lists it under centralized exchanges since July 2024.

The exchange claims over 4 million active traders, a matching engine capable of 1 million transactions per second and 99.99% uptime. These are self-reported figures. DefiLlama shows about 71.7 million dollars in tracked assets across Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB Chain, and no listed audits or token.

It also markets several awards, including a derivatives platform award from Hedgeweek in 2025. The pitch is aimed at active derivatives traders: high leverage, copy trading, bots and a rewards program.

How Toobit works

Toobit is a centralized exchange. Users deposit crypto or buy it with a card or P2P, and the funds are held in an account on the exchange. Orders are matched by the exchange's own engine rather than by smart contracts, so trades happen off-chain.

Spot trading is buying and selling coins directly. Perpetual futures let traders take long or short positions on a price with leverage and no expiry date, settled in USDT or USDC. Copy trading mirrors another trader's positions, and bots run grid or DCA strategies automatically.

The DEX+ feature gives access to on-chain tokens from the spot account. The exchange handles the routing, but the user's funds remain in a custodial account. Proof of Reserves is a periodic report meant to show the exchange holds assets backing user balances.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Wide product range: spot, perpetuals, event contracts, copy trading, bots, API and demo mode.
  • Spot trading and Convert are advertised as zero-fee.
  • Publishes monthly 1:1 Proof of Reserves and has a bug bounty program.
  • Many funding routes, including P2P, Visa, Mastercard and third-party providers.
  • Demo trading lets beginners practice without risk.

Watch out for

  • No third-party audit is listed on DefiLlama, and the homepage security claims (ISO certification, uptime, engine speed) come from the exchange itself.
  • Up to 500x leverage on futures is extremely risky and can wipe out a position on a small price move.
  • Regulatory status and licensing are not stated publicly, so users must check whether the exchange is available in their country.
  • Custodial model: funds sit on the exchange, so users carry counterparty and withdrawal risk.
  • Headline claims such as a 15,000 USDT sign-up reward depend on conditions that the homepage excerpt does not spell out.
  • Testimonials shown on the homepage are selected by the exchange and are not independent evidence.

Toobit fees

The homepage advertises zero fees on spot trading and on Convert, its instant swap feature. A VIP program is said to offer fee discounts, and a broker and affiliate program exist.

Futures fees, funding rates, withdrawal fees and the VIP tiers are not stated publicly. Users would find them in the fee schedule inside the app or on the website. Card purchases through third-party providers usually carry their own charges.

Is Toobit safe?

Toobit is custodial, so the exchange controls user funds and users depend on its solvency and withdrawal processes. It points to monthly Proof of Reserves, an ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified security setup, a Toobit Shield page and a bug bounty program. DefiLlama lists no audits, and these claims are self-reported.

The project does not state a licence or regulator, so check the terms and whether the service is available in your country. High-leverage trading carries a high risk of loss, and users should only trade with money they can afford to lose. No hack or incident is mentioned publicly.

Toobit FAQs

What is Toobit?

Toobit is a centralized cryptocurrency exchange. Its homepage lists spot trading, USDT-M and USDC-M perpetual futures, event contracts, copy trading, trading bots, a DEX+ feature and a TradFi section.

Is Toobit safe?

Toobit says it publishes monthly 1:1 Proof of Reserves and describes an ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified security setup. These are the exchange's own claims, and DefiLlama lists no audits. As with any centralized exchange, funds are held by the platform, so only deposit what you can afford to risk.

How much leverage does Toobit offer?

The homepage says up to 500x leverage is available on futures. Leverage at that level can liquidate a position after a very small price move, so it is suited only to experienced traders who understand the risk.

Does Toobit charge trading fees?

The homepage advertises zero fees on spot trading and on its Convert feature. Futures fees, withdrawal fees and VIP discounts are not given publicly, so check the fee schedule in the app or on the site before trading.

How can I deposit on Toobit?

Toobit lists P2P trading, Visa and Mastercard card payments, third-party providers such as MoonPay, Advcash and Simplex, and direct crypto deposits. It also says more than 50 fiat currencies are supported. Available methods may vary by region.

Does Toobit have a sign-up bonus?

The homepage advertises a sign-up reward of up to 15,000 USDT and a Rewards Hub where completed tasks turn into trading bonuses. The exact conditions are not public, so read the terms in the Rewards Hub before relying on it.
