Solomon USDv Review 2026: Treasury-Backed Stablecoin on Solana

Solomon USDv is a Solana-native dollar stablecoin backed 1:1 by short-dated U.S. Treasuries and cash, built so that balances earn rewards without staking or wrapping. Its main appeal is simplicity; its main caveat is permissioned issuance and a reward rate that is set separately from reserve income.

Our verdict on Solomon USDv

7.2/10

Solomon USDv suits Solana users, DAOs and apps that want a Treasury-backed dollar that earns without staking or wrapper tokens. Its strengths are the 1:1 backing claim, an independent audit and rewards that follow balances across wallets and DeFi. The caveats are permissioned minting and redemption, a reward rate set separately from reserve income, and a split legal structure that makes recourse unclear. Read the reserve, redemption and legal documents before holding meaningful amounts.

What is Solomon USDv?

Solomon USDv is a stablecoin on Solana designed to pay rewards to holders by default. The project says it is backed 1:1 by short-dated U.S. Treasuries and cash reserves, and that it needs no staking, wrapping or lockups to earn. DefiLlama tracks it under basis trading with roughly $8.8 million in TVL on Solana, and lists a SOLO token and two audits.

The pitch is that one token can stay a plain dollar while earning, which keeps liquidity in one place instead of splitting it across wrapped versions. The homepage cites Oro Finance, where liquidity providers earn on the dollar side of a gold pool position, and Avici, a neobank that uses USDv as reward rails.

The homepage says the project raised $8 million and lists backers, partners and auditors. Names of the team are not given in the text available. The footer says Solomon Labs is a brand term and not a legal entity, and that the website is run by Genesee Holdings Corporation of Panama, separately from the IP owner, Solomon DAO LLC of the Marshall Islands.

How Solomon USDv works

USDv is a dollar stablecoin on Solana. Approved participants mint and redeem it against short-dated U.S. Treasuries and cash held as reserves. Everyone else can hold and use it as a normal token.

To earn, a holder enrolls a balance once. Solomon then tracks eligible USDv across wallets, liquidity pool positions and integrated DeFi apps, and routes rewards to the address the holder designates. There is no wrapper token, vault deposit or claim step.

The rewards are supported by income from the reserve assets, mainly Treasuries. The project states that the reward rate is set separately and may differ from the return the reserves actually earn.

7 features

Key features

01

1:1 Treasury backing

USDv is described as fully backed 1:1 by short-dated U.S. Treasuries and cash reserves, with a page to view reserve composition.

02

Earn without wrappers

Holders enroll a balance once and earnings are calculated automatically, with no staking, wrapping, rebasing or manual claiming.

03

Rewards follow balances

Solomon tracks balances across wallets, liquidity pool positions and DeFi integrations, so rewards follow eligible USDv wherever it sits.

04

Reward routing

Rewards can be routed to a wallet, treasury or account the holder designates, which suits DAOs and treasuries that need clean accounting.

05

LP stablecoin leg rewards

Liquidity providers can earn on the stablecoin side of a pool position on top of swap fees, as in the Oro Finance example.

06

Permissioned issuance

Minting and redemption are limited to approved participants, and the project publishes redemption terms.

07

Independent audit

The USDv program was audited by Accretion according to the project, and a report is linked from the site.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Fully backed 1:1 by short-dated U.S. Treasuries and cash, according to the project.
  • No staking, wrapping, lockups or cooldowns required to earn.
  • Rewards follow balances across wallets, LP positions and DeFi integrations.
  • The USDv program was audited by Accretion, with a report linked.
  • Reward routing to designated addresses suits DAOs and treasuries.

Watch out for

  • Minting and redemption are limited to approved participants, so most holders must buy USDv on the open market instead of redeeming directly.
  • The reward rate is set separately and may not equal the return earned by the reserves, so the payout can differ from the underlying yield.
  • Reserve composition and redemption terms are linked from the site, but public information here do not give figures for the split between Treasuries and cash or for fees.
  • The site states that Solomon Labs is only a brand term and not a legal entity, and that the website operator and the IP owner are separate parties. This makes it harder to see who is responsible for what.
  • Single-chain exposure to Solana means smart-contract, network and integration risks apply.
  • Earning requires enrolling and agreeing to the YaaS Terms of Service, so yield is not fully automatic for a plain wallet holder.

Solomon USDv fees

The homepage does not publish a fee schedule for holding, minting or redeeming USDv. Redemption terms are linked from the site, and that is where any redemption or issuance costs would be shown. Normal Solana network fees apply to transfers.

The homepage shows a 7-day trailing annualized reward rate that loads live in the app. The project states that the reward rate is set separately and may not equal what the reserves earn, so the net rate to holders may be lower than reserve income.

Is Solomon USDv safe?

The project says the USDv program was independently audited by Accretion, and DefiLlama lists two audits. It describes controlled minting and redemption, transparent reserve reporting and a reserve composition page. Audits cover code, not the custody or quality of the off-chain reserves, so holders rely on the reserve reporting and on the issuer.

Issuance is permissioned and the legal structure is split: the site says Solomon Labs is only a brand term, the website is operated by a Panama company, and the intellectual property belongs to a Marshall Islands DAO LLC. The site states that no relationship creates recourse among these parties, so holders should read the Terms of Use, Disclaimer and redemption terms closely. Regulatory status is not stated publicly, so check what applies where you live.

  3. 3

Who Solomon USDv is for

Solomon USDv is for Solana users, liquidity providers, neobanks and DAO treasuries that hold idle stablecoins and want them to earn without wrapping or locking. It is less suited to anyone who needs direct redemption rights as a retail holder, or who wants a clear single legal counterparty.

What is Solomon USDv?

USDv is a stablecoin issued on Solana. It is described as backed 1:1 by short-dated U.S. Treasuries and cash reserves, and it stays liquid and transferable.
