Rumpel Labs Review 2026: Trading Offchain Points as Tokens

Rumpel Labs is a point tokenization protocol that lets holders of offchain loyalty and airdrop points trade claims on them. It is an early, small-scale product, so liquidity and the underlying points programs are the main risks.

Our verdict on Rumpel Labs

5.2/10

Rumpel Labs suits experienced DeFi users and airdrop hunters who want to buy or sell exposure to offchain points programs without waiting for a token launch. Its strength is a clear idea: pTokens that map to points 1:1 or 1:1000 and trade on a secondary market. The main caveat is size and uncertainty. TVL is around $50,000, fees and team are not published, and a pToken is only as valuable as the issuer's future rewards. Treat it as a speculative tool and size positions accordingly.

What is Rumpel Labs?

Rumpel Labs is a point tokenization protocol. It lets holders of offchain loyalty and airdrop points turn them into tokens that can be traded, creating secondary liquidity and price discovery for something that is usually locked in an app account.

Reports from August 2024 said the platform would launch in mid-September 2024, with a preview in early September. Tracking data lists it from late September 2024, on Ethereum and Hyperliquid, and categorizes it under synthetics because the tokens stand in for rights that live elsewhere.

The product is small. Total value locked is about $50,000, and no native token is listed. The homepage could not be reviewed for this page, so details such as fees, team and supported point programs are not confirmed here.

How Rumpel Labs works

Many apps hand out points to users for deposits, trading or activity, and those points may later convert into a token airdrop or other rewards. Normally points cannot be sold. Rumpel Labs creates a tokenized version, called a pToken, that represents an offchain point balance and its future rewards.

According to search snippets describing the protocol, a pToken maps 1:1 or 1:1000 (kilo) to the underlying point. Once the point exists as a token, it can be traded on a secondary market. That gives holders a way to sell early and gives traders a way to buy exposure before a points program pays out.

The price of a pToken reflects what buyers think the points will be worth. If the issuer announces generous rewards, the price can rise. If the program is cut back or ends without rewards, it can fall toward zero. The protocol provides the market, not a guarantee of value.

6 features

Key features

01

Point tokenization

Turns an offchain point balance into a token that can be held, transferred or traded onchain.

02

Secondary market liquidity

Creates a market where point holders can sell and traders can buy exposure before any airdrop or reward is distributed.

03

Price discovery for points

Market trading of pTokens lets the crowd put a number on what a points balance may be worth.

04

Flexible 1:1 or kilo mapping

pTokens map to the underlying point 1:1 or 1:1000 (kilo), which keeps the unit simple to read.

05

Ethereum and Hyperliquid

Runs on Ethereum and Hyperliquid, giving access to both a general smart-contract chain and a trading-focused one.

06

Multiple user groups

Aims to serve holders, traders, airdrop hunters and the issuers of point programs.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Addresses a real gap: points programs are valuable to users but normally cannot be traded
  • Simple unit mapping of 1:1 or 1:1000 makes pTokens easy to compare with the underlying points
  • Available on Ethereum and Hyperliquid, giving users two network options
  • Two audits are listed, which suggests some smart-contract review
  • Gives point issuers a visible market signal about demand for their programs

Watch out for

  • TVL is very small at roughly $50,000, which points to thin liquidity and potentially wide spreads on pToken markets
  • The value of a pToken depends on an offchain points program that the issuer can change, cancel or never convert into rewards
  • Fee schedule, team details and audit reports are not published in the material reviewed, so costs and security are hard to verify
  • No native token is listed, so users cannot judge any future token plans or incentives
  • Point programs often carry terms that restrict transfers or sales, which creates legal and rule-compliance uncertainty for holders

Rumpel Labs fees

Rumpel Labs does not publish a fee schedule in the material reviewed. Users should expect network gas costs on Ethereum or Hyperliquid and possibly protocol or trading fees, but the amounts are not stated.

Before trading, check the fee and slippage figures shown in the app at the time of the transaction. With low liquidity, price impact may be a bigger cost than any listed fee.

Is Rumpel Labs safe?

Two audits are listed in tracking data, but the auditors, scope and findings are not named in the material reviewed. Readers should look for the published reports before depositing funds. The project does not publish team or custody details in the material reviewed.

The bigger risk is counterparty and program risk. A pToken depends on a third party's offchain points program, which can change its rules, restrict transfers or end without rewards. Very low TVL also means thin markets and higher price impact. No regulatory status or incident history is stated.

6 steps

How to get started with Rumpel Labs

  1. 1

Read the official documentation to understand which point programs are supported and how each pToken maps to its underlying points.

  2. 2

Set up a self-custody wallet that works with Ethereum or Hyperliquid and keep a small amount of the native gas token.

  3. 3

Confirm you are on the official site and not a copycat, since point and airdrop products attract phishing.

  4. 4

Start with a small test transaction and check the quoted price, fees and slippage before confirming.

  5. 5

Check the terms of the underlying points program to see whether transfers or sales of points are allowed.

  6. 6

Track the issuer's announcements so you know when rewards or conversions are scheduled.

Who Rumpel Labs is for

Rumpel Labs is aimed at airdrop hunters, points farmers and traders who are comfortable with onchain wallets and speculative positions. It may also interest point issuers who want to see how the market values their programs. It is not suited to anyone who needs deep liquidity or predictable returns.

Rumpel Labs FAQs

What is a Rumpel Point Token (pToken)?

A pToken is a token that represents an offchain point balance and its future rewards. Search snippets describing the protocol say pTokens map 1:1 or 1:1000 (a kilo unit) to the underlying point.

What does Rumpel Labs do?

Rumpel Labs is a point tokenization protocol. It aims to create secondary market liquidity and price discovery for offchain loyalty points, so point holders, traders and airdrop hunters can buy and sell exposure to them.

Which blockchains does Rumpel support?

Tracking data lists Ethereum and Hyperliquid as the chains it runs on. The project's own documentation would be the place to confirm which assets and markets are available on each.

Does Rumpel Labs have a token?

No native token is listed for Rumpel Labs in the material reviewed. Anyone offering a Rumpel token before an official announcement should be treated with caution.

Has Rumpel Labs been audited?

Two audits are listed in tracking data, but the auditors and findings are not named there. An audit reduces smart-contract risk but does not remove the risk that the underlying points program never pays out.

Is trading point tokens risky?

A pToken is a claim on a points program run by a third party. If the issuer changes the rules, caps rewards or never launches a token, the pToken can lose value. Liquidity is also small, so exits can be costly. Only use money you can afford to lose.
