Good
Our verdict on PagCrypto
7.0/10PagCrypto suits people who hold crypto and need to pay PIX or boletos in Brazil, including expats and foreigners. Its main strength is a short wallet-to-payment flow with clear fees of 1% to 2%. The main caveats are mandatory KYC, unpublished audits and licensing, and many assets still listed as coming soon. Check the local rules, and start with a small payment before moving larger amounts.

What is PagCrypto?
PagCrypto, branded PagFinance, is a crypto-to-fiat payments service built for Brazil. It lets users pay PIX transfers and boletos directly from a crypto wallet, using local payment rails for the final settlement. A Crunchbase listing describes it as a platform for paying PIX, boletos and gift cards with crypto.
The homepage lists nine networks, including Solana, Ethereum, Stellar, Base, Avalanche, HyperEVM, Arbitrum, Polygon and Optimism. It claims 23 supported assets, though many are marked as coming soon, and the live ones include USDC, USDT and BRLP. It also reports more than R$ 25 million processed since January 2025, 35,000 settled transactions and over 10,000 active users, pointing to a public Dune dashboard for checking volume.
There is no native token and no TVL, since this is a payment service rather than a lending or trading protocol. Team members, audits and company licensing are not published on the pages reviewed.
How PagCrypto works
You connect a self-custody wallet and tell PagFinance what to pay: a PIX key, a boleto code or a QR code, and an amount in Brazilian reais. The app quotes the fee and the total in the crypto you choose.
When you approve the transaction in your wallet, the crypto moves on-chain to the service. PagFinance then pays the recipient in reais through Brazil's local PIX or boleto rails. The site puts the average at about 30 seconds.
This skips the usual route of selling on an exchange, withdrawing to a bank and then paying. It also lets non-residents settle bills in Brazil. A KYC check is needed, and the fiat settlement leg is handled by the service.

Pros and cons
What we like
- Pays PIX and boletos straight from a wallet, with settlement reported at about 30 seconds
- Clear public fees: 1% with BRLP, 2% with other assets, and no tiers
- Funds stay in the user's wallet until the payment is confirmed
- Supports nine networks and stablecoins such as USDC and USDT
- Works for foreigners and Brazilians abroad who need to pay bills in Brazil
- Volume figures can be checked on a public Dune dashboard
Watch out for
- KYC is mandatory, so it is not an anonymous option
- Fixed 2% fee on most assets is higher than some exchange trading fees, and minimum fees weigh on small payments
- Many of the 23 listed assets are marked as coming soon, so live choice is narrower than the headline count
- No audits are listed and the underlying code is reported as not open source
- Limited to paying Brazilian PIX and boleto, so it has no use outside Brazilian payments
- Volume and user figures are self-reported on the homepage
PagCrypto fees
The homepage publishes two rates. Paying with BRLP, a Brazilian real stablecoin, costs 1%. Paying with any other supported crypto costs 2%. There is no monthly fee and no tiers based on verification level.
A minimum fee applies per transaction: R$ 1.20 for PIX and R$ 2.50 for boleto. On a R$ 500 payment the fee is R$ 5.00 with BRLP or R$ 10.00 with other assets. B2B partners using the API get negotiated rates. Network gas costs are not detailed on the homepage, so users should check the wallet confirmation screen.
Is PagCrypto safe?
PagFinance is a hybrid service. Payments are signed from your own wallet, but the fiat leg is run by the company, so you rely on it to deliver the PIX or boleto payment once your crypto is sent. No audits are listed, and one search result reports that the underlying project is not open source.
The homepage states that KYC is mandatory. The company's licensing and regulatory status in Brazil is not published on the pages reviewed. The metrics shown are self-reported, though a Dune dashboard is linked for on-chain verification. Start with a small payment before sending large amounts.

Who PagCrypto is for
PagFinance is for crypto holders who need to pay Brazilian bills or send PIX transfers without selling on an exchange and withdrawing to a bank. It also suits Brazilians living abroad and foreigners with bills in Brazil, and businesses that want API access. It does not suit people who want anonymous use or who have no Brazilian payments to make.
