Our verdict on MovePosition
3.5/10MovePosition is not a service to start using. It was a small non-custodial lending market on Movement, and new deposits and borrows are closed ahead of the app's retirement on December 22, 2026. This review is mainly for existing users: use the Portfolio page to repay and withdraw with the MAX option before the cutoff. The main caveat is that borrowers who miss the date keep accruing interest and can be liquidated with no app to manage the position.

What is MovePosition?
MovePosition is a lending and borrowing protocol built on the Movement network. DefiLlama describes it as powered by Concordia's adaptive risk model, and the homepage tagline was "Earn yield on Movement". It was listed on DefiLlama from March 2025.
The project is winding down. The team's notice says new deposits and new borrows closed on October 19, 2026, and that the app will be retired on December 22, 2026. After that date the app goes offline and active support stops. For that reason this page treats MovePosition as inactive.
Tracked value locked was about 730,000 USD, down 37.3% over seven days, which is small even for a lending market. There is no native token. DefiLlama lists two audits, but the project does not name the auditors.
How MovePosition works
A decentralized lending protocol lets some users supply assets into a pool and earn interest, while others borrow from that pool by posting collateral. Interest rates are set by rules in the smart contracts rather than by a bank. If a borrower's collateral value falls too far relative to the loan, the position can be liquidated under the protocol's rules.
MovePosition worked this way on Movement, and DefiLlama says its risk settings were driven by Concordia's adaptive risk model. The project does not say how that model sets limits or rates.
Because the contracts live onchain, they keep running even if the app is closed. The team notes that open borrows remain live and can be liquidated after the app is retired. Repaying and withdrawing through the app before the cutoff is the safest path.

Key features
01
Lending and borrowing markets
Users could supply assets to earn yield and borrow against them, which is the standard money-market model. New deposits and borrows are now closed.
02
Adaptive risk model
DefiLlama describes the protocol as using Concordia's adaptive risk model. The project does not explain how the model works in detail.
03
Non-custodial design
Funds sit in smart contracts onchain rather than with a company. The team states that no person or company holds them.
04
Portfolio and MAX exit tools
The app had Markets, Portfolio and Stats pages, and the Portfolio page offers Repay and Withdraw with a MAX option for closing positions.
05
Listed audits
DefiLlama lists two audits for the protocol. The project does not name the auditors or give the findings.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Non-custodial design: the team states that funds sit in smart contracts and are not held by any company.
- Clear exit instructions: the notice gives step-by-step repay and withdraw directions using a MAX option.
- Withdrawals stay open until December 22, 2026, so existing users have a defined window to leave.
- Two audits are listed on DefiLlama, although details are not given.
- The team publishes a support contact and says it will post any date changes.
Watch out for
- New deposits and new borrows are closed, so the app can no longer be used to earn yield or take loans.
- The app goes offline on December 22, 2026, and active support stops on that date.
- Open borrows stay live onchain after the shutdown and can still be liquidated, with no app to manage them.
- TVL was only about 730,000 USD, with a 37.3% drop over seven days, which points to a small and shrinking market.
- No governance or protocol token, so there is no token incentive or community-ownership layer.
- Fee levels and interest rates are not stated.
MovePosition fees
MovePosition's fees, borrow rates and supply rates are not. Rates in a lending protocol normally move with utilization and are shown in the Markets page of the app, but with new deposits and borrows closed there is little reason to look at them now.
The only cost-related point in the notice is that open borrows keep accruing interest after December 22, 2026. Borrowers should also factor in network transaction costs on Movement when repaying and withdrawing, which are not quantified.
Is MovePosition safe?
The team describes MovePosition as non-custodial: funds sit in onchain smart contracts, and the shutdown notice says it does not change who owns them. DefiLlama lists two audits, but the auditors and findings are not public, and an audit does not remove smart-contract risk. No hacks or incidents are mentioned publicly.
The main risk now is operational. The app goes offline on December 22, 2026, and support stops. Any borrow left open stays live, keeps accruing interest and can be liquidated under the protocol's rules. Users with positions should repay and withdraw before that date. This page is not financial advice.
