ActiveLevva Review 2026: AI Smart Portfolios for DeFi Yield
Levva is a DeFi platform that uses an AI assistant and pre-built Smart Portfolios to route deposits into yield strategies. It is audited, but its TVL is small and its fees are not published.

Our verdict on Levva
5.8/10Levva suits DeFi-curious users who want risk-tiered, AI-assisted yield portfolios without choosing pools themselves, and who accept early-stage risk. Its main strengths are simple portfolio choices and published Quantstamp and Hashlock audits. The main caveats are a very small TVL, unpublished fees and an extra yield paid in a volatile token. Start small, read the audits and docs, and remember that yield depends on third-party protocols that carry their own risk.

What is Levva?
Levva is a DeFi protocol that describes itself as universal yield and leverage infrastructure, connecting liquidity providers to borrowers. Its current pitch, Levva 2.0, centres on LevvAI and Smart Portfolios that invest deposits in strategies on protocols such as Pendle and Aave.
Tracker data lists the protocol on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Blast and Linea, and shows it listed since late 2024. Total value locked is small, at around $12,700. One search result reports that Open Custody Protocol was rebranded to Levva in early 2025, bringing in infrastructure from that project and AI yield optimization from YieldWard.
The protocol has its own token, LVVA. The homepage says all users earn an extra 10% APY in LVVA, and the token can be staked. It is listed on several centralized exchanges, according to the site. Two features, wallet scanning and a guided onboarding flow, are marked as coming soon.
How Levva works
Levva takes deposits and places them into DeFi yield strategies. Instead of choosing pools and rebalancing by hand, a user picks a Smart Portfolio matched to a risk level. Levva says the portfolio then handles strategy, allocation and rebalancing.
Under the hood, Levva's earlier vaults followed the ERC-4626 standard, which issues share tokens that represent a claim on pooled assets. The homepage names Pendle and Aave as example destinations. An AI assistant, LevvAI, answers questions and helps build a strategy in plain language.
The project also describes itself as infrastructure that connects liquidity providers to borrowers. Returns therefore come from the underlying DeFi protocols, not from Levva itself. They vary with market conditions and can fall.

Key features
01
Smart Portfolios
Pre-built portfolios cover Ultra-Safe, Safe, Brave and Custom risk profiles. Levva says they automate strategy, allocation and rebalancing.
02
LevvAI assistant
An AI assistant lets users ask questions and build a strategy in plain language. A wallet-scan feature that suggests better strategies for existing positions is listed as coming soon.
03
Diversified DeFi exposure
Strategies draw on protocols such as Pendle and Aave. Funds are spread across them according to the chosen portfolio.
04
ERC-4626 vaults
Levva Vaults follow the ERC-4626 standard, with built-in share tokens and single-asset deposits, according to a 2024 write-up from the project.
05
LVVA reward boost
The homepage says every user earns an extra 10% APY paid in LVVA on top of strategy yield.
06
Staking and governance
The LVVA token can be staked for rewards. The docs describe a veLVVA lock and governance model.
07
Published audits
Two Quantstamp reports and one Hashlock report are linked from the site.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Four risk-tiered portfolios (Ultra-Safe, Safe, Brave, Custom) make it easy to choose a strategy without picking pools manually.
- Audit reports from Quantstamp and Hashlock are published and linked from the site.
- It runs on Ethereum and several layer-2 networks, including Arbitrum and Base.
- A plain-language AI assistant lowers the barrier for DeFi newcomers.
- The LVVA token is tradable on several exchanges and has staking and governance documentation.
Watch out for
- Total value locked is very small, at roughly $12,700 on the tracker data, which suggests limited adoption.
- The headline yield figures are not shown on its homepage, and the extra 10% APY is paid in the LVVA token, whose value can swing sharply.
- Fee levels (management, performance, withdrawal) are not published on the homepage.
- Strategies depend on third-party protocols such as Pendle and Aave, so users take on the smart-contract risk of each one.
- The wallet-scan feature and the beginner onboarding flow are marked as coming soon.
- The project has been through a rebrand and merger, and an AI layer adds model and execution risk on top of ordinary DeFi risk.
Levva fees
Levva's homepage does not publish management, performance, deposit or withdrawal fees. The 10% extra APY paid in LVVA is a reward, not a fee, but it adds token price exposure.
Users should also expect network gas costs on Ethereum or the layer-2 chain they use, plus any fees charged inside the underlying protocols. Check the docs and the app's confirmation screens for exact figures before depositing.
Is Levva safe?
Levva says its infrastructure is audited, listing two Quantstamp reports and one Hashlock report. The homepage also uses the phrase institutional-grade security, but gives no further detail. Audits reduce code risk but do not guarantee safety, and they do not cover the third-party protocols Levva allocates into.
Users carry smart-contract risk, strategy risk and AI-execution risk, and the LVVA reward is exposed to price volatility. Its homepage does not name the team, a custody model or a regulatory status, and it does not mention any incidents. The very small TVL means little capital has tested the system. Treat any deposit as high risk and only commit what you can afford to lose.
6 steps
How to get started with Levva
- 1
Read the documentation and the linked Quantstamp and Hashlock audit reports.
- 2
Check that you are on the official Levva site and connect a wallet on a supported chain such as Ethereum, Arbitrum or Base.
- 3
Choose a Smart Portfolio that matches your risk level: Ultra-Safe, Safe, Brave or Custom.
- 4
Review the strategy, expected yield and any fees shown in the app before confirming.
- 5
Deposit a small amount first and confirm you can see your position and withdraw.
- 6
Decide whether to stake LVVA for extra rewards only after reading the token and veLVVA documentation.
Who Levva is for
Levva is aimed at people who want passive DeFi yield without managing positions, from beginners who prefer asking an AI assistant questions to more experienced users who choose the higher-risk Custom portfolio. It is less suited to anyone who needs a long track record, large liquidity or fully transparent fee terms.
Levva FAQs
What is Levva?
Levva is a DeFi protocol that manages liquidity and yield on behalf of users. Its current version offers AI-assisted Smart Portfolios that allocate and rebalance deposits across strategies on protocols such as Pendle and Aave.
Is Levva safe?
Levva says its portfolios are audited by Quantstamp and Hashlock, and it links the reports from its site. An audit lowers the risk of code bugs but does not remove it, and it does not cover the underlying protocols Levva deposits into.
What is the LVVA token used for?
LVVA is the protocol's token. The homepage says all users earn an extra 10% APY in LVVA, and it offers LVVA staking. The documentation also describes a veLVVA lock and governance. Check the docs for current terms before staking.
Which blockchains does Levva support?
Tracker data lists Levva on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Blast and Linea. Which portfolios or vaults are open on each chain is something to confirm in the app.
What are the Smart Portfolio risk levels?
The homepage offers four risk levels: Ultra-Safe, Safe, Brave and Custom. Ultra-Safe targets steady yield with low volatility, while Custom aims at maximum APY for experienced users who accept higher risk.
What does Levva charge?
Its homepage does not list fees. Check the documentation and the app's deposit and withdrawal screens before committing funds.
What is the difference between Levva 1.0 and 2.0?
Levva 2.0 is the AI-focused product described on the homepage. A separate Levva 1.0 link points to the earlier staking and claim interface. One source reports the project merged with Open Custody Protocol and YieldWard in early 2025.
