Our verdict on Hyperdrive HL Earn
6.3/10Hyperdrive HL Earn suits users already active on Hyperliquid who want yield on stablecoins or HYPE without managing each position by hand. Its main strength is breadth: a money market, liquid HYPE staking, HLP products and one-click strategies, with three named audit firms. The main caveat is maturity. Tracked TVL is only about $121,785, the product is new, and fees and strategy details are not on the homepage. Read the docs, start small and avoid leverage until you understand the liquidation rules.

What is Hyperdrive HL Earn?
Hyperdrive calls itself Hyperliquid's yield hub and the premier stablecoin money market on the network. Its stated aim is to be a foundational layer that makes assets on HyperCore liquid for use in DeFi. The product set covers a money market, a HYPE liquid staking token, a liquid HLP product and a set of Earn strategies.
HL Earn is the strategy layer. It offers one-click yield strategies built around a portfolio view, drawing on the other Hyperdrive products. It is tracked as a yield product on Hyperliquid and has been listed since late May 2026.
The homepage names a long list of backers, including several venture firms and Binance Labs, and three security firms. It does not publish team names, fee tables or audit report details in the page text. The tracked TVL of about $121,785 is small, which fits an early product.
How Hyperdrive HL Earn works
Hyperdrive runs smart contracts on HyperEVM, the contract layer of Hyperliquid. In the money market, depositors supply stablecoins to a pool and earn interest. Borrowers post other assets as collateral and pay interest to take stablecoins out. Rates normally rise when more of the pool is borrowed.
The HYPE liquid staking product lets users stake HYPE and get a tradable token in return. That token keeps accruing staking rewards and can be used as collateral, so the same capital can serve two purposes. The Liquid HLP product does the same idea for HLP, the Hyperliquid vault share, and also allows leveraging it.
The Earn section packages these building blocks into one-click strategies. A user picks a strategy, deposits, and the contracts handle the allocation. Details of each strategy, including where yield comes from, are in the docs rather than on the homepage.
6 features
Key features
01
Stablecoin money market
Users supply stablecoins to earn lending APY, or borrow stablecoins against other assets. Rates are shown per asset in the app.
02
HYPE liquid staking
Users stake HYPE and receive a liquid token that keeps earning staking rewards while it is used as collateral elsewhere in DeFi.
03
Liquid HLP
HLP can be posted as collateral or leveraged to try to increase HLP yield. Leverage raises risk as well as potential return.
04
Earn strategies
The Earn section offers one-click yield strategies framed around a whole portfolio rather than single pools.
05
Multiple stablecoin markets
The money market lists USDC, USDH, USD₮0, USDe and USDhl, alongside HYPE, giving several stablecoin options.
06
Named auditors
Three security firms are named on the homepage, and the product pages link to docs and a Security section.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Combines lending, liquid staking and strategy vaults in one place on Hyperliquid.
- Supports several stablecoins, including USDC, USDH, USD₮0, USDe and USDhl.
- Three named security firms: Enigma Dark, Bail Security and Obsidian Audits.
- One-click Earn strategies reduce the manual steps for newer users.
- Liquid-staked HYPE can be used as collateral while still earning staking rewards.
- Docs, a security page and a blog are linked from the site.
Watch out for
- Tracked TVL is only about $121,785, so the Earn product is small and has little track record.
- Listed only since late May 2026, so it has no long history through market stress.
- Fee levels, rate models and liquidation parameters are not stated on the homepage.
- Value depends on Hyperliquid, HyperEVM and HLP, so a problem in that ecosystem would hit users directly.
- Leveraging HLP and using liquid-staked HYPE as collateral add liquidation and depeg risk.
- The team is not named on the homepage and no audit report details are shown there.
Hyperdrive HL Earn fees
Fee details are not published on the homepage. It does not state performance fees, borrow spreads or liquid-staking fees. Users would see those in the app and in the docs before confirming a deposit or strategy.
Expect the usual costs of on-chain DeFi as well: gas on HyperEVM and any slippage when swapping assets. Lending rates and APYs move with demand, so the net return depends on the live rate and any protocol fee taken from it.
Is Hyperdrive HL Earn safe?
The homepage lists three audit firms: Enigma Dark, Bail Security and Obsidian Audits. It describes their work in general terms, but report dates, scope and findings are not shown in the page text, so readers should look at the Security page and docs. No incident is mentioned.
Users keep exposure to smart-contract risk, oracle and liquidation risk on borrowed positions, and the depeg risk of any stablecoin or liquid token in the pools. Strategies that leverage HLP or reuse staked HYPE as collateral add further layers. The project does not state regulatory status or an insurance cover.
6 steps
How to get started with Hyperdrive HL Earn
- 1
Read the Security and Docs pages first to understand each product and its risks.
- 2
Set up a wallet that supports HyperEVM and fund it with HYPE for gas.
- 3
Bring in the stablecoin or HYPE you plan to use, and check which asset each market accepts.
- 4
Open the app and compare the live APYs for the money market, HYPE staking and Earn strategies.
- 5
Start with a small deposit in the plain money market before trying leverage or HLP strategies.
- 6
Monitor your position, especially any borrowing, and keep a safety margin against liquidation.
Who Hyperdrive HL Earn is for
This is for DeFi users who already hold HYPE or stablecoins on Hyperliquid and want lending yield, liquid staking or packaged strategies. It is less suited to beginners who have not used on-chain lending, and to anyone who needs a long track record or fully published fee terms.
Hyperdrive HL Earn FAQs
What is Hyperdrive HL Earn?
HL Earn is the strategy side of Hyperdrive, a DeFi hub on Hyperliquid. The site describes it as one-click yield strategies with a portfolio-centric approach. It sits alongside the stablecoin money market, a HYPE liquid staking token and a liquid HLP product.
Is Hyperdrive audited?
The homepage names Enigma Dark, Bail Security and Obsidian Audits as its security partners. It does not link specific reports in the text, so check the Security page and the docs for scope and findings. An audit lowers risk but does not remove it.
Which blockchain does Hyperdrive use?
Which chain does it run on? It runs on Hyperliquid, specifically HyperEVM, the smart-contract environment of that network. The site also says it aims to make assets on HyperCore liquid for DeFi use.
Does Hyperdrive have a token?
No. The listing shows no native token. The homepage mentions APYs for assets like USDC, USDH, USD₮0, USDe, USDhl and HYPE, but these are asset yields, not a Hyperdrive governance token.
What yields can I earn?
The homepage lists APY slots for several stablecoins and HYPE, but the rates load in the app and change with market demand. Check the live app before depositing. Do not assume a past rate will continue.
Can I lose money using Hyperdrive?
Yes. Smart-contract bugs, oracle problems, bad debt, liquidations and depegs of assets in the pools are all possible. The product is also small and new. Only deposit what you can afford to lose.
