ActiveFluidTokens Review 2026: Cardano Lending Pools and Risks
FluidTokens is a Cardano lending protocol with pooled markets where users lend tokens for interest or borrow against other tokens. Its TVL is small and no audits are listed, so treat it as a higher-risk niche venue.

Our verdict on FluidTokens
5.5/10FluidTokens suits Cardano users who want to lend tokens for interest or borrow against ecosystem tokens and are comfortable with DeFi risk. Its strengths are the range of pooled markets and the clear display of rates and utilization. The main caveat is that DefiLlama lists no audits, TVL is small, and many pools are idle or fully used. Fees and liquidation terms are not public, so read the docs first.

What is FluidTokens?
FluidTokens is a lending and borrowing protocol on Cardano. DefiLlama has listed it since June 2022 under Lending, with about 2.4 million USD in TVL and a token called FLDT. Its homepage describes pooled lending markets where users lend Cardano tokens for interest or borrow against collateral.
The app shows many pools, each with a borrowed asset and a chosen collateral token. Assets include ADA, USDM, USDCx, IAG, HOSKY, NIGHT, FLDT, Snek and STRIKE. Each pool shows its available amount, utilization, lend APY and borrow APR.
The homepage also shows aggregate figures in ADA: 12.3M TVL, 6.3M total borrows and 10.8M active collateral. These differ from the DefiLlama USD figure, which may reflect different methods or timing.
How FluidTokens works
FluidTokens uses pooled lending markets. Lenders deposit a token into a pool and earn a lend APY. Borrowers take that token out of the pool by locking another token as collateral, and they pay a borrow APR.
Each pool pairs a borrowed asset with a specific collateral asset. The homepage shows utilization, the share of the pool that is borrowed., pools with high utilization show higher lend APYs, around 8%, while idle pools show a flat 4.0%.
Beyond the pooled markets, the app lists Custom Loans and Staking sections, and DefiLlama describes borrowing against NFTs. The project does not give details on how those work.

Key features
01
Pooled lending markets
The homepage lists markets per asset, such as ADA, USDM, IAG, USDCx, HOSKY, NIGHT and FLDT. Each lists the available amount, utilization, lend APY and borrow APR.
02
Collateral-specific pools
Borrowers pick a collateral token against each supply pool, for example Snek, STRIKE or ADA collateral to borrow another asset.
03
Custom loans and staking
The navigation includes Deposit, Borrow, Earn, Custom Loans and Staking sections, which suggest more than the basic pooled markets.
04
Portfolio dashboard
A Portfolio area shows pools, lends, borrows, requests and activity, so users can track their positions.
05
NFT-backed lending
DefiLlama describes FluidTokens as a way to lend and borrow using NFTs on Cardano.
06
Visible rates and utilization
Rates are shown per pool and tied to utilization, so lenders can compare yields across markets.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Offers many pooled markets on Cardano, including stablecoins and ecosystem tokens.
- Rates, utilization and available liquidity are shown for each pool on the homepage.
- Supports collateral from small Cardano tokens that larger lenders may not accept.
- Includes custom loans, staking and a portfolio dashboard in the same app.
- Listed on DefiLlama since 2022, so it has been around for several years.
Watch out for
- DefiLlama lists no audits for the protocol, so smart-contract risk is not backed by a published review.
- Many pools show 0% utilization and a flat 4.0% rate, which suggests thin demand in those markets.
- Several pools show 98-100% utilization with tiny available balances, so lenders may struggle to withdraw at those moments.
- Collateral includes small-cap Cardano tokens, which can drop sharply in price and trigger liquidations.
- TVL is about 2.4 million USD per DefiLlama and fell 7.1% over seven days, so liquidity is modest.
- Fees, liquidation penalties and collateral ratios are not stated publicly.
FluidTokens fees
Fees are not published. The homepage shows lend APY and borrow APR for each pool, but no protocol fee, liquidation penalty or origination fee.
Users would see the rates in each market on the Markets page, and the docs are the place to look for fee and liquidation details. Normal Cardano network transaction fees would also apply to on-chain actions.
Is FluidTokens safe?
DefiLlama lists no audits for FluidTokens. The project does not describe an incident history, insurance or a bug bounty, so those can't be assessed here. Lending protocols carry smart-contract risk, and borrowing carries liquidation risk if collateral prices fall.
The app is non-custodial in the usual sense for a wallet-connected dApp, but the project does not detail custody design. Several pools sit at 98-100% utilization, which can limit withdrawals. Check the docs for audit reports and risk parameters, and only use funds you can afford to lose.

FluidTokens FAQs
What is FluidTokens?
FluidTokens is a lending and borrowing protocol on Cardano. Users can deposit tokens into pools to earn interest, or borrow one token against another as collateral. DefiLlama also describes it as an NFT-DeFi bridge for borrowing against NFTs.
Which blockchain does FluidTokens use?
It runs on Cardano. You connect a Cardano wallet through the Connect Wallet button in the app.
What interest rates does FluidTokens show?
The homepage shows lend APYs from about 4% to 8% and borrow APRs mostly from about 4% to 8%, depending on the pool. These move with utilization and change over time, so check the live figures in the app.
Does FluidTokens have its own token?
Yes. DefiLlama lists a token called FLDT, and the homepage shows FLDT both as a borrowable asset and as collateral in several pools.
Has FluidTokens been audited?
DefiLlama lists zero audits for FluidTokens. That does not prove the code is unsafe, but it means no audit is cited publicly. Check the project's docs for any audit reports before depositing.
Can I lose money borrowing on FluidTokens?
Borrowing against collateral usually carries liquidation risk if the collateral price falls. The project does not state liquidation thresholds or penalties, so read the docs before opening a loan.
