Capx AI Review 2026: Open-Source Casa and an Agent Token Launchpad

Capx AI combines Casa, an open-source terminal tool for running a company with AI agents, with a token Launchpad and the CAPX token. Casa is free and local-first, while the token side carries the usual market risk.

Our verdict on Capx AI

6.5/10

Capx AI suits developers and founders who already work with terminal coding agents and want an auditable, file-based way to run company work with human approval. Casa's open-source, local-first design and gating are its main strengths. The caveat is the token side: Launchpad fees and audit details are not clearly published on the homepage, agent tokens are speculative, and the project's shift from an AI-app Layer 2 to a Casa-led toolkit calls for reading the current docs and risk pages carefully.

What is Capx AI?

Capx AI presents itself as infrastructure for agent-run companies. Its main product on the homepage is Casa, an open-source control plane that runs from the terminal and keeps a company's plan, context and approval gates in local files.

Around Casa sit a Launchpad for agent tokens, a Terminal that shows the public record of launched companies, and the CAPX token. An aggregator lists it in the AI Agents category and describes Capx Chain as an Ethereum Layer 2 where AI apps launch ERC20 tokens, secured by more than $220M in restaked assets. The aggregator lists it since December 2025 and shows two audits, without naming them here.

The homepage now leads with Casa rather than the chain. It also states that the CAPX migration closed for Capx Chain, BNB Chain and Arbitrum. Team, funding and licensing details are not published on the homepage.

How Capx AI works

Casa runs as a command-line engine beside your coding agent. At the start of a session it reads the company brain, a folder of local files holding the company profile, current level and a session ledger. It then names the binding constraint, ranks the playbooks that are ready, and routes work to operator roles such as a researcher or engineer.

Operators produce artifacts like an interview guide or an MVP spec. A critic panel reviews them against a bar, and findings are fixed on recheck. Actions with real consequences, such as spending money, publishing or merging code, stop at a gate until a human approves, and the decision is appended to the ledger.

The Launchpad is the market side. A company can issue an agent token that trades on a bonding curve, meaning the price moves with supply as people buy and sell, and later moves to a DAMM v2 liquidity pool. The Terminal shows the public record of those projects next to market activity.

7 features

Key features

01

Local company brain

Casa keeps state, decisions, artifacts and learnings in plain Markdown and JSON Lines files in your own git repository, rather than in a chat history.

02

Playbooks as contracts

The catalog lists 183 playbooks with entry rules, dependencies, deliverables and a review bar, so blocked work cannot be started by the model.

03

Human approval gates

Spending, going public, merging to main and destructive changes wait for human approval, and decisions are recorded in an append-only ledger.

04

Multi-harness support

Casa works with Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build, OpenClaw, Hermes, Gemini CLI, Cursor, OpenCode and Copilot CLI, or any shell that can run an agent.

05

Phase 0 company package

A first phase turns research into a company brief, product architecture, roadmap, agent mandates and a 90-day plan, then a site, one-pager and deck.

06

Agent token Launchpad

Agent tokens trade on a live curve against CAPX or an eligible Capx token, then migrate to a DAMM v2 pool.

07

Public Terminal

A public view shows briefs, diagrams, roadmaps, agent mandates and activity beside market data, labeled by source.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Casa is open source under the MIT license, with no account or waitlist, so the code can be inspected and forked.
  • Local-first design keeps company data in your own git repository as readable files.
  • Human gates cover spending, going public, merging to main and destructive changes, with an append-only decision ledger.
  • Works with many agent harnesses, including Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI and Cursor, rather than locking users to one.
  • Publishes a risk disclosure and terms alongside the Launchpad and token pages.

Watch out for

  • Fees for the Launchpad (curve trading, migration, liquidity) are not stated on the main page, so costs are unclear until you open the fee documentation.
  • Audit details are not spelled out: two audits are listed in an aggregator, but auditor names and scope are not given in the material reviewed.
  • Agent tokens launched on bonding curves are speculative, and the platform does not vouch for the quality of any listed project.
  • The project has moved from an Ethereum Layer 2 focused on AI app tokens to an agent-company toolkit, and the CAPX token has been migrated across chains, which makes the product picture harder to follow.
  • Casa depends on third-party coding-agent harnesses, so results depend on those tools and the models behind them.
  • Team, funding and governance details are not published on the homepage.

Capx AI fees

Casa is presented as open source under the MIT license, with no account required, so there is no stated subscription price for the core tool. You still pay for whichever coding agent or model you run it with, and the site does not say what that costs.

The Launchpad has a dedicated page for fees and liquidity, but the homepage does not publish figures. Anyone planning to launch or trade an agent token should read that page first, and should expect network gas and curve or pool trading costs.

Is Capx AI safe?

Casa runs locally, and its design puts approval gates on high-impact actions, which limits what an agent can do unsupervised. The site also tells users to review the continuing update behavior before connecting a public company, so check what the tool updates and publishes before linking it to live accounts.

On the token side, risk is mostly market and smart-contract risk. An aggregator lists two audits, but auditors, scope and findings are not given in the material reviewed. Bonding-curve tokens can lose value quickly, and the platform does not guarantee any launched project. Read the risk disclosure and terms before trading. Team, custody and regulatory status are not published on the homepage.

6 steps

How to get started with Capx AI

  1. 1

Decide which harness you use: Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor or another agent that can run a shell.

  2. 2

Check that Node 20 or later is installed, since the engine runs on it with no runtime dependencies.

  3. 3

In Claude Code, add the Casa plugin from the public repository, install the capx-casa plugin, then run the start command. Other harnesses read the operating contract from a checkout path.

  4. 4

Answer the start interview in an empty folder, or let Casa scan an existing project, to build the company brain.

  5. 5

Review the ranked next moves, approve gated actions, and commit results to your repository.

  6. 6

Before using the Launchpad or CAPX, read the risk disclosure, terms and fee pages.

Who Capx AI is for

Casa suits technical founders and builders who already use coding agents in the terminal and want structure, review and approval gates around them. The Launchpad and CAPX token suit readers comfortable with early-stage crypto risk who are willing to read the fee and risk pages first.

Capx AI FAQs

What is Casa by Capx?

Casa is an open-source, MIT-licensed control plane that runs from your terminal. It stores a company's plan, context, review bar and approval gates in local files and works with coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI and Cursor.

Do I need an account to use Casa?

The site says no account and no waitlist are needed, and that the core runs locally on Node 20 or later. Installing it in Claude Code uses a plugin from the public repository and a start command.

What is the CAPX token used for?

CAPX is the project's own token. The Launchpad lets users trade agent tokens on a live curve against CAPX or an eligible Capx token, followed by migration to a DAMM v2 pool. The homepage says the CAPX migration closed for Capx Chain, BNB Chain and Arbitrum.

Is Capx free?

Casa itself is described as open source under the MIT license. Launchpad fees and liquidity terms have their own documentation page, but specific percentages are not given on the homepage.

Can agents spend money or publish without my approval?

The homepage says action gates cover spending, going public, merging to main and destructive changes. Decisions are written to an append-only ledger. The site also advises reviewing the continuing update behavior before connecting a public company.

Is Capx still a blockchain?

The aggregator description says Capx Chain is an Ethereum Layer 2 secured by more than $220M in restaked assets. The current homepage focuses on Casa and the Launchpad, and mentions Capx Chain, BNB Chain and Arbitrum in the CAPX migration notice.
