Our verdict on Mind Network

6.8/10

Mind Network suits readers and developers interested in privacy-preserving AI and confidential onchain payments built on fully homomorphic encryption. Its strength is a focused technical thesis, a growing product set led by x402z, and broad exchange access for the FHE token. The main caveat is that on-chain TVL is small, fees are not published, and many adoption claims come from the project itself. Treat it as an early-stage infrastructure project and read the audit reports before using any contract.

What is Mind Network?

Mind Network describes itself as FHE infrastructure for a fully encrypted web, starting with AI, modular chains, gaming and DePin. DefiLlama files it under AI Agents and lists it on Ethereum, Scroll, BNB Chain and its own chain, with the FHE token and two listed audits.

The homepage now leads with x402z, a confidential agent-to-agent payment solution announced in January 2026. Other products include MindChain, AgenticWorld, an FHE bridge, encrypted onchain messaging (EOM) and the CitizenZ identity framework.

The project cites $12.5M in total fundraising, Binance Incubation Camp S5, two Ethereum Foundation grants and a Chainlink build programme. These are the project's own statements. DefiLlama TVL is about $26,344, which is small, so adoption in terms of locked value looks limited even though the project reports more than 39M FHE staked.

How Mind Network works

Fully homomorphic encryption lets software perform calculations on data that stays encrypted the whole time. A server or smart contract can process the data without ever seeing the raw values, and only the key holder can read the result. Mind Network builds products on this idea for AI agents and onchain applications.

Its newest product, x402z, applies FHE to payments between AI agents. Built on Zama's technology and the ERC-7984 confidential token standard, it encrypts onchain values so a payment can be validated without showing the amount, balances or strategy behind it.

Other pieces include MindChain, an FHE-based chain for AI agents, AgenticWorld for FHE consensus among agents, and Mind Bridge for encrypted interoperability. The project frames all of this as HTTPZ, a zero-trust alternative to HTTPS in which data remains encrypted during processing.

7 features

Key features

01

FHE computation and consensus

Lets computation happen on encrypted data, with validation and consensus that do not reveal the underlying values. This is the core technology behind the project.

02

x402z confidential payments

A confidential agent-to-agent payment solution for micro-payments covering compute, data and API access. Settlement is meant to prove value transfer without showing amounts or balances.

03

MindChain

Described as the first FHE chain built for AI agents, aimed at partnering with AI agent projects.

04

AgenticWorld

An FHE consensus layer for AI agents, positioned within the HTTPZ zero-trust model.

05

Mind Bridge

An FHE-secured interoperability product. The company also announced an FHE-powered encrypted transfer layer for USDC cross-chain transfers in May 2025.

06

CitizenZ

A Soulbound NFT passport framework for digital identity, governance participation and access to the encrypted ecosystem.

07

Developer SDK

The homepage describes an SDK that abstracts cryptography so developers can add encrypted agent payments with minimal code. It also lists a Rust FHE SDK integrated by DeepSeek, per a news item.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Focuses on a specific, real cryptographic technique (FHE) with a clear privacy use case for AI agents
  • Newest product x402z addresses confidential machine-to-machine payments, a concrete problem
  • Lists two audits on DefiLlama and an open Github and Gitbook
  • Reports backing and programme support (Binance Incubation Camp, Ethereum Foundation grants, Chainlink build programme, $12.5M raised)
  • FHE token is listed on many major exchanges, so liquidity access is broad
  • Publishes educational FAQs explaining FHE, ZKPs and HTTPZ in plain terms

Watch out for

  • On-chain TVL listed on DefiLlama is very small (about $26,000), so it is hard to judge adoption from that metric alone
  • Fully homomorphic encryption is computationally heavy and still maturing, and public sources give no performance or cost figures
  • Audit details are not public beyond a count of two listed audits, so scope and findings cannot be checked here
  • Several products (MindChain, AgenticWorld, FHE Bridge, x402z) mean a broad, complex ecosystem that is harder for newcomers to evaluate
  • The FHE token is traded on many exchanges, which brings ordinary token price volatility and market risk
  • Claims such as 'traction #1 in AI and FHE on RootData' and 'over 39M FHE staked' come from the project's own homepage

Mind Network fees

Fees are not published. Costs for using x402z, the bridge, staking or MindChain are not stated, so users should check each product's documentation and the transaction screen before confirming anything.

Normal network gas applies on chains such as Ethereum, and the FHE token trades on exchanges that charge their own trading fees. Neither set of figures appears.

Is Mind Network safe?

Public sources list two audits on DefiLlama but do not name the auditors or give findings, so readers should look up the reports directly. No hacks or incidents are mentioned publicly, and that does not prove none have occurred.

FHE-based products depend on newer cryptography and on third-party components such as Zama and the ERC-7984 standard, which adds technical and integration risk. Bridges and staking contracts carry smart-contract risk in general. Regulatory treatment of the FHE token and privacy tools varies by country, so check local rules.

6 steps

How to get started with Mind Network

  1. 1

Read the project's documentation and Gitbook to see which product (x402z, FHE Bridge, AgenticWorld, MindChain) fits your use case.

  2. 2

Confirm the official website address from a trusted source and be cautious of lookalike sites and airdrop scams.

  3. 3

Connect a self-custody wallet that supports the network you plan to use, such as Ethereum, Scroll or BNB Chain.

  4. 4

Start with a small amount to understand gas costs and how any bridging or staking flow works before committing more.

  5. 5

Developers can explore the SDK and the x402z materials to see how encrypted agent payments are integrated.

  6. 6

Review the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and follow official channels for announcements.

Who Mind Network is for

Mind Network is for developers building AI agent or onchain apps that need encrypted computation, and for crypto-curious readers following privacy and AI infrastructure. It is less suited to people wanting a simple, established yield or trading product.

Mind Network FAQs

What is Mind Network?

Mind Network is a project building fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) infrastructure for AI and Web3. Its stated goal is a fully encrypted web in which data stays encrypted even while it is being processed.

What is fully homomorphic encryption (FHE)?

FHE allows computations to run directly on encrypted data without decrypting it first. According to the project, this keeps information private during storage, transfer and computation, and it is built on lattice cryptography.

What is the FHE token?

FHE is the token linked to Mind Network. The homepage says over 39M FHE is staked based on on-chain data, and lists exchanges including Binance, Bybit, Bitget, MEXC, Kraken, HTX, Gate and LBank, plus PancakeSwap.

What is x402z?

x402z is a confidential agent-to-agent payment solution announced in January 2026. It is described as supporting micro-payments for compute, data and API access, with settlement that hides amounts and balances. It is built on Zama and the ERC-7984 standard, per the homepage.

What is HTTPZ?

HTTPZ is Mind Network's term for a zero-trust internet protocol powered by FHE. Unlike HTTPS, which encrypts data only in transit, HTTPZ aims to keep data encrypted during computation and storage as well.

Which chains does Mind Network run on?

DefiLlama lists Mind Network on Ethereum, Scroll and BNB Chain, along with its own Mind Network chain. Check each product's documentation for which network a given feature uses.
