Our verdict on BingX

7.2/10

BingX is a feature-rich centralized exchange for active traders who want spot, futures, bots, copy trading and TradFi exposure under one login. Its main strength is breadth, including perpetuals on stocks, forex and commodities. The main caveat is risk: custody sits with the exchange, leverage reaches 1000x, and licensing and fee details were not available publicly reviewed. Beginners should use demo mode first and check availability in their country.

What is BingX?

BingX is a centralized crypto exchange that describes itself as a global crypto exchange and multi-asset trading platform. Its homepage lists spot trading, several perpetual futures products, trading bots, copy trading, wealth products and a TradFi section for stocks, indices, commodities and forex.

DefiLlama tracks it in the CEX category with about $574 million in on-chain assets across eight chains, and records it since July 2024. The platform has no token listed there and no audits, which is normal for a centralized venue because its main risk is custody rather than smart contracts.

The site stresses its social trading side, with a leaderboard, elite trader recruitment and spot, futures and gold/forex copy trading. It also promotes a Proof of Reserves page and a Why Trust BingX page, though the reviewed facts do not include their contents.

How BingX works

BingX is a centralized exchange. You deposit crypto into an account the exchange controls, and trades are matched on its own order books rather than on a blockchain. Deposits and withdrawals happen on the networks it supports, which per DefiLlama include Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, Tron, XRP Ledger, TON and Arbitrum.

Spot trading means buying or selling the actual asset. Perpetual futures are contracts that track a price with no expiry date, and traders can borrow exposure through leverage. Margin can be in USDT, USDC or the coin itself, depending on the contract type.

TradFi products let users trade stocks, indices, commodities and forex using crypto as the settlement asset. Bots and copy trading automate strategies or mirror other traders' positions.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Wide product range: spot, four futures types, bots, copy trading, earn and loans in one account
  • Perpetual contracts on stocks, indices, commodities and forex alongside crypto
  • Demo trading with virtual assets for practising without risk
  • Supports several major networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Tron and TON
  • Promotes a Proof of Reserves page and a risk disclosure with clear warnings
  • Mobile apps and API access for different user types

Watch out for

  • Centralized custody: funds sit with the exchange, so users carry counterparty risk
  • Up to 1000x leverage on perpetual futures can wipe out an account quickly
  • Licensing, regulatory status and KYC rules are not stated publicly reviewed
  • Copy trading carries high risk, and the platform says past performance is not a reliable indicator
  • Service has been withdrawn in at least one jurisdiction (Netherlands, announced Feb 2024), so availability varies by country
  • Fee schedule is not shown on the pages reviewed

BingX fees

Trading fees are not stated publicly reviewed. The site has a Trading Fees page under its services links, and users would see their maker and taker rates there and inside the trading interface.

Leveraged products may also carry funding costs and liquidation risk. Check the fee page and each product's terms before trading.

Is BingX safe?

BingX is a custodial exchange. If it is hacked, becomes insolvent or freezes withdrawals, users may be unable to access funds. DefiLlama lists no audits, and the project does not include licensing, regulatory registration or security incident history. The site promotes 100% Proof of Reserves, which readers should look at themselves.

The platform's own risk warning says trading digital assets and derivatives may result in partial or total loss, and that copy trading is high risk. A February 2024 announcement shows it discontinued service for Netherlands users, so regulatory access differs by region. Use available account security features and do not keep more on the exchange than you need.

6 steps

How to get started with BingX

  1. 1

Confirm that BingX services are available and legal where you live, since it has withdrawn service in some countries.

  2. 2

Sign up on the website or download the iOS or Android app.

  3. 3

Complete any identity verification the platform requires and turn on available security features.

  4. 4

Try Demo Trading with virtual assets before using real funds.

  5. 5

Start with spot trading or Convert, and read the Trading Fees page.

  6. 6

Only move to futures or copy trading after you understand leverage and liquidation, and size positions to what you can afford to lose.

Who BingX is for

BingX suits active traders who want many product types in one place, including futures, grid bots and copy trading, and who accept exchange custody. It is less suited to people who want self-custody or who are new to leverage and have no plan for managing losses.

Is BingX available everywhere?

Does BingX have a demo mode or welcome offer?

The homepage mentions a welcome gift and a demo trading mode that uses virtual assets. The size of the gift is not shown in the page text, and offers change, so check the current terms in the app.
