Our verdict on Aftermath AMM
7.0/10Aftermath AMM suits Sui users who want swaps, liquidity pools, staking and perpetual futures in one place. Its main strength is the breadth of products and a clear interface for tracking everything. The main caveat is size: about $2.67M TVL and thin BTC perps open interest, no audits listed on DefiLlama, and regional blocking on perps. Verify the audits page, fee schedule and your eligibility before depositing, and keep leverage low.

What is Aftermath AMM?
Aftermath AMM is the DEX side of Aftermath Finance, a trading and yield platform built on Sui. DefiLlama tags it as a DEX and describes it as the ease of a centralized exchange with none of the risk. It has been listed since July 2023 and shows about $2.67M in TVL.
The current homepage leads with perpetual futures rather than swaps. It offers a BTC-USDC market with up to 25x leverage, alongside spot swaps, DCA, limit orders, a bridge, liquidity pools, farms, perps vaults and SUI staking.
The product range is broad for its size. At the time of capture the BTC perps market showed $1.586M in 24-hour volume and $182.0K in open interest, which is small. Treat it as an early or niche venue rather than a deep market.
How Aftermath AMM works
Aftermath started as an automated market maker on Sui. In an AMM, users deposit tokens into pools and traders swap against those pools instead of an order book. Liquidity providers earn a share of trading fees. Swaps on the site are described as exchanging crypto at the best market rates.
The platform has since added perpetual futures. These are contracts that track an asset's price with no expiry, and users post USDC as margin and pick leverage. The BTC market showed an order book, a mark price and an 8-hour funding rate, which transfers payments between longs and shorts to keep the contract price close to spot.
Other parts build on this. Vaults pursue curated perps strategies, farms add token rewards for liquidity, and staking lets users stake SUI. A rewards and referrals system tracks points and epoch rebates. The exact mechanics of each are in the project's docs, not public reviewed here.

Pros and cons
What we like
- Wide product set on one Sui interface: swaps, DCA, limit orders, perps, pools, farms, vaults and staking
- USDC-margined perps with an order book, TWAP and stop orders
- Non-custodial wallet login model typical of DeFi, with a portfolio view across all positions
- Listed on DefiLlama since July 2023, so it has a multi-year operating history
- Docs, fees, audits and API pages are linked from the site
Watch out for
- DefiLlama lists no audits for the AMM listing, so security claims depend on the audits page on the project's own site, which the project doesn't detail
- The DefiLlama figure of about $2.67M TVL is modest, so liquidity depth on some pools may be limited
- Perpetuals on the homepage showed only $182.0K open interest and $1.586M 24h volume for BTC at capture, which suggests a thin market
- The perps interface displayed 'Unavailable in your region', so access is restricted for some users
- Up to 25x leverage on BTC perps can liquidate positions quickly
- No governance or native token is listed, so the incentive and rewards structure is harder to evaluate from public sources
Aftermath AMM fees
Fee rates are not stated. The site has a Fees link in its navigation, and the perps order ticket has a Fees line that fills in when an order is prepared, so users should check both before trading.
Pool fees and any vault or staking charges are also not given here. A rebates page for the current epoch suggests fee rebates or rewards exist, but the terms are not detailed publicly.
Is Aftermath AMM safe?
DefiLlama lists no audits for this entry. The site links to an audits page, but the project does not say who audited what or when, so verify that page yourself. No incidents or exploits appear, which does not prove none occurred.
Using a DEX means trusting smart contracts and the underlying chain, and leveraged perps add liquidation risk. The perps panel showed an 'Unavailable in your region' notice, so the service applies regional restrictions. Check the terms and local rules, and do not try to get around them. Only commit funds you can afford to lose.
6 steps
How to get started with Aftermath AMM
- 1
Read the docs, fees and audits pages on the official site and confirm that the service is available in your region.
- 2
Set up a Sui-compatible wallet and fund it with SUI for gas and the assets you plan to use.
- 3
For spot trades, start with the Swap tool and a small amount to see pricing and slippage.
- 4
For perps, deposit USDC into a perpetuals account and use low leverage and a stop order until you understand liquidation.
- 5
If you want yield, compare pools, farms and vaults, and read the risks of each before depositing.
- 6
Use the portfolio page to track every position and withdraw funds you no longer need to keep exposed.
Who Aftermath AMM is for
Aftermath suits Sui users who want one site for swaps, DCA, liquidity provision, SUI staking and perps trading. It is better for people comfortable with DeFi wallets and risk than for beginners, particularly if they plan to use leverage.
