Active3Jane Options Review 2026: From Options Vault to Credit Protocol
3Jane is an Ethereum protocol that was listed as an options vault and now centers on USD3, a credit-backed yieldcoin funded by lending to fintech originators. The yields are higher than plain lending markets, but they come with real credit risk.

Our verdict on 3Jane Options
6.5/103Jane suits experienced DeFi users who want yield from fintech credit and understand that returns depend on borrowers repaying. Its main strength is a distinct credit-based yield source with a two-tier structure, backed by reported funding from well-known crypto investors. The main caveat is risk: sUSD3 is levered exposure to the pool, fees and audit details are not published on the homepage, and the product has shifted from its original options-vault listing. Read the docs and disclaimers first.

What is 3Jane Options?
3Jane is a credit protocol on Ethereum. An aggregate data listing from June 2024 files it under options vaults and describes it as a derivatives protocol using restaking and cash-and-carry. The current homepage presents something different: "cryptonative credit creation", centered on USD3, a credit-backed yieldcoin.
USD3 earns from warehouse facilities, forward-flow programs and credit lines that fund fintech originators. Public reporting report that the project raised $5.2M in a round led by Paradigm and launched with a $10 million senior warehouse facility and a $50 million forward-flow programme. Other snippets name Coinbase Ventures and Wintermute Ventures as backers. These are single-source reports.
The homepage compares USD3 with Aave aUSDC at 4% and Ethena sUSDe at 7%, against 15-20% for sUSD3. TVL under the older options-vault listing is about $105,729, which is small and does not necessarily reflect the current credit product.
How 3Jane Options works
Suppliers deposit USDC into the 3Jane protocol and receive USD3. The protocol deploys that capital into credit products: warehouse facilities, forward-flow programs and credit lines for fintech lenders and crypto-native borrowers. Interest paid by borrowers is what backs the yield on USD3.
Suppliers who want more yield can stake USD3 to get sUSD3. The homepage describes sUSD3 as levered exposure to the pool and says it autocompounds. In practice, this suggests it takes more of the credit risk in return for a higher rate.
On the borrowing side, fintechs can sell a loan portfolio or collateralize via an SPV, while cryptonatives can connect credit, DeFi, exchange or bank data for a line of credit. The project's research pages also describe Levered Callable Capital, a way to earn commitment fees by committing capital that is not yet drawn.

Pros and cons
What we like
- Offers a yield source tied to real credit activity rather than only crypto-collateralized lending.
- Two-tier structure lets suppliers choose between USD3 and higher-yield sUSD3.
- Backers reported in public reporting includes Paradigm, Coinbase Ventures and Wintermute Ventures.
- Aggregate data lists two audits and the site links to reports, disclaimers and docs.
- Borrower side offers large facilities, from $5m to $200m, aimed at institutional-style fintech lenders.
Watch out for
- Yields depend on fintech borrowers repaying, which adds credit risk that over-collateralized DeFi lending does not have.
- sUSD3 is described as levered exposure to the pool, so it can lose value before USD3 does if loans go bad.
- The 15-20% sUSD3 figure is a headline range, and the homepage also shows 13.23%, so actual returns vary.
- Fee levels, audit reports and team details are not stated on the homepage.
- The project has moved from options-vault roots to credit, so older descriptions and listings may not match the current product.
- The structure relies on off-chain underwriting and legal arrangements such as SPVs and warehouse lines, which are harder to verify on-chain.
3Jane Options fees
The homepage does not publish a fee schedule. It does show headline yields of 6.30% for USD3 and 13.23% for sUSD3, and the documentation and protocol app are where users would find any management, performance or borrowing fees.
On Ethereum, users also pay normal network gas fees when minting, staking or redeeming. Borrower pricing for the credit lines is not stated beyond the claim that economics improve as borrowers scale.
Is 3Jane Options safe?
Aggregate data lists two audits, but the homepage does not name the auditors. Smart-contract risk applies to all deposits, and the credit design adds counterparty risk: returns depend on borrowers repaying, and sUSD3 absorbs levered exposure to the pool.
Part of the structure sits off-chain, including underwriting, SPVs and warehouse agreements, so users rely on the protocol's documentation and reports for transparency. The site links Terms of Service and Disclaimers, and regulatory status is not described on the homepage. No hacks or incidents appear.

- 3
Connect an Ethereum wallet holding USDC and some ETH for gas.
- 4
Mint USD3 by depositing USDC through the protocol app.
- 5
Decide whether to stake USD3 for sUSD3, which has higher yield and higher risk.
- 6
Monitor pool reports and rates, since APY figures change over time.
Who 3Jane Options is for
3Jane is for DeFi users comfortable with credit risk who want yield above standard USDC lending, and for fintech lenders seeking on-chain capital. It is a poor fit for anyone who wants simple, fully collateralized exposure or cannot tolerate losses on a stablecoin-like position.
3Jane Options FAQs
What is 3Jane?
3Jane is a credit protocol on Ethereum. Users deposit USDC to mint USD3, and the pool lends to fintech lenders through warehouse facilities, forward-flow programs and credit lines. It was originally listed as an options vault, and that listing still exists.
What is USD3?
USD3 is a credit-backed yieldcoin. Its yield comes from the credit products the pool funds, rather than from trading or crypto-collateralized loans. The homepage showed a 6.30% APY at the time of writing, and that rate can change.
What is sUSD3 and why does it pay more?
sUSD3 is staked USD3. The homepage describes it as levered exposure to the pool and shows 13.23% APY, with a 15-20% range in a comparison table. Higher yield implies higher exposure to losses if borrowers default.
Does 3Jane have a token?
No token is listed in the aggregate data, but the homepage says referrals are live and pay JANE. How JANE works beyond that is not described on the homepage.
Who can borrow from 3Jane?
The homepage lists access to $5m-$200m in capital through warehouse lines, participations and forward flows, aimed at fintech lenders. Cryptonatives can also get a line of credit by connecting credit, DeFi, exchange or bank data.
Is 3Jane audited?
The homepage links to documentation, reports and disclaimers, and aggregate data lists two audits. The audit firms and findings are not named on the homepage, so check the docs before depositing.
Is 3Jane safe to use?
Yes. Smart-contract risk, borrower default risk and the possibility that USD3 or sUSD3 loses value all apply. Only deposit what you can afford to lose and read the disclaimers.
