## What is Silo Finance?

Silo Finance is a decentralized lending protocol built around isolated money markets. In a typical lending protocol, assets and borrowing risks can be linked across a shared pool. Silo’s design separates markets so that risks associated with one collateral asset are less likely to spread to unrelated markets. A market, or “silo,” pairs a collateral asset with a loan asset. Users may be able to supply assets to earn interest or borrow against collateral, subject to the protocol’s market rules and available liquidity.

SILO is the token associated with Silo Finance. Public sources identify the project with DeFi lending and borrowing, but does not establish all of SILO’s current functions or the terms of any governance or reward mechanisms. Check the protocol’s current documentation before relying on a particular token use. SILO is not itself a lending market: its role should be distinguished from the assets users deposit or borrow.

## What is SILO used for?

Silo Finance’s core use case is lending and borrowing through isolated markets. A user may supply an eligible token to a market or borrow its loan asset by providing acceptable collateral. The assets, interest rates, collateral requirements, and liquidation conditions depend on the specific market. Isolation is intended to limit the effects of a problem with one collateral asset, but it does not remove risks such as volatile collateral prices, thin liquidity, contract vulnerabilities, or faulty price data.

SILO is the protocol’s associated token, rather than a general-purpose payment coin or a token required for every lending transaction. Publicly available information may describe SILO in connection with protocol governance, but its precise current voting rights, incentives, and eligibility rules should be confirmed in current official materials. Do not assume that holding SILO automatically gives a holder a particular return, voting power, or access to a lending market.

## SILO supply and market context

SILO has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens. As of 2026-07-17, the reported circulating supply was about 612.2 million, while total supply was about 920.2 million. Circulating supply is the portion reported as available in the market; total supply includes tokens that may not currently be circulating. These figures can change, so they are a dated snapshot rather than a guarantee of how many tokens are available now.

As of 2026-07-17, SILO was priced at about $0.00062, with a market capitalization of about $378,000. These market figures can change quickly and are not a forecast. A low unit price does not by itself mean a token is inexpensive or undervalued; supply, demand, liquidity, and the project’s actual use all matter. Check current market information before making decisions, and do not treat past price movements as a reliable guide to future performance.

## Chains, risks, and storage

SILO is issued on Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Sonic. These are separate networks, so a token held on one chain may not be available to use on another without a supported bridge or transfer method. Confirm the network and token contract address through Silo Finance’s official materials before sending SILO. Sending tokens to an incompatible network or address can result in permanent loss. SILO is not listed as the native token of any of these chains.

Like other crypto assets, SILO carries market risk: its price can fall sharply, and limited liquidity can make it harder to trade at a desired price. Using Silo Finance also involves smart-contract, oracle, liquidation, and market-specific risks; isolated markets can reduce some spillover without eliminating those risks. For self-custody, use a wallet that supports the correct network and protect its recovery phrase offline. A lost phrase or compromised device can mean losing access, while a custodial service adds counterparty risk.
