## What is Blend?
Blend is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol for creating and using lending markets on Stellar. Its markets can be designed for particular assets and lending needs, rather than relying on one shared set of rules for every borrower and lender. Blend runs on Soroban, Stellar’s smart-contract platform. The project describes its markets as immutable, meaning their core terms are not changed through ongoing governance once deployed. Different pools can still have different designs and management arrangements.
The protocol includes a fixed USDC:XLM pool, a DAO-managed pool supporting USDC, EURC, XLM and AQUA, and a fixed-forex pool that supports a collateralized debt position (CDP) model. Pool availability and terms may change, so check the specific market before interacting. BLND is Blend’s associated token. It is not Stellar’s native asset, and holding BLND is not the same as depositing into a lending pool.
## What is BLND used for?
BLND is associated with Blend’s lending ecosystem on Stellar. Blend Pools V2 is described as using BLND alongside a backstop for its permissionless, isolated lending pools. A backstop is a mechanism intended to help address losses or shortfalls in a pool; its exact operation and the token’s role should be checked in the pool documentation before relying on it.
Public sources do not specify a complete list of BLND functions, such as whether it grants voting rights, earns fees, or qualifies holders for distributions. Do not assume that owning the token gives control over every Blend market or guarantees income. The lending pools themselves have distinct designs: some are fixed, one is DAO-managed, and supported collateral and borrowing assets vary by pool. Review the current terms, collateral rules, liquidation process, and any token-related conditions for the particular market you plan to use.
## BLND supply and market data
As of 2026-11-05, Blend’s reported circulating and total supply were both 67,140,850 BLND. No maximum supply was reported, so there is no stated cap to compare with the current total. Supply figures can change, and token listings may show different values if they update at different times. Check the asset details on Stellar before making decisions based on a supply figure.
On the same date, BLND was trading at about $0.0074, with a market capitalization of about $495,000 and 24-hour trading volume of about $2,100. These are snapshots, not stable values. Low reported trading volume can make it harder to buy or sell larger amounts without affecting the price, and displayed prices may vary between markets. The token’s recorded high and low prices also show substantial historical movement, but past performance does not indicate what it will do next. These figures are descriptive only, not a forecast or a recommendation to trade.
## Blockchain and storage
BLND is issued on Stellar, and Blend’s lending contracts run on Soroban. The token is therefore associated with Stellar rather than being the native token of a separate blockchain. When transferring or storing BLND, use a wallet that supports the relevant Stellar asset and confirm that it can interact with the token’s specific setup. The project information here does not provide a contract address or asset issuer identifier, so verify those details through Blend’s official materials before sending funds.
Wallet support matters: an address on a different network will not automatically receive a Stellar asset. Check the network, asset identity, and any wallet requirements before confirming a transfer. If using a custodial service, confirm that it supports BLND withdrawals on Stellar; a listing or balance display alone does not establish that withdrawals are available. Keep recovery phrases and private keys offline and never share them with anyone claiming to offer token support.
## Risks to understand
Lending on Blend involves smart-contract, collateral, and liquidation risks. Borrowers can lose collateral if a position no longer meets a pool’s requirements, while lenders may face losses if liquidations or pool protections do not cover a shortfall. Each pool has its own supported assets and rules; permissionless creation does not mean every pool has been independently reviewed or is equally safe.
Oracle failures are another concern because lending contracts may rely on price feeds to value collateral and trigger liquidations. Blend Pools V2 faces a reported 2026 oracle exploit. Public sources do not establish the incident’s full scope or outcome, so check current project communications before interacting with affected pools. BLND also carries market risks, including volatility, limited liquidity, and the possibility of losing some or all of its value. A token’s association with a lending protocol does not guarantee that the protocol or its pools will remain secure or active.
By the numbers
Blend in numbers
Blend (BLND) is ranked #3,907 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $465K and a price of $0.006922 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($465K) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was up 5.9% over 7 days, down 14.6% over 30 days, down 85.8% over the past year. It trades about 94% below its all-time high of $0.1246, set on Nov 27, 2024.
About 67.14M BLND are in circulation. No hard maximum supply is listed, so new tokens can still be issued.
24-hour trading volume was about $1.63K, or 0.4% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
BLND has token contracts on Stellar. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
BLND is linked to Blend Pools, which we cover in our Lending rankings. See our Blend Pools page for how the protocol works and how we score it.

BLND FAQs
What is Blend?
Blend is a DeFi protocol for creating and using lending markets on Stellar. It runs on Soroban smart contracts and supports pools with different assets and rules.
What is BLND used for?
BLND is Blend’s associated token and is used in the Blend Pools V2 ecosystem, which is described as having a backstop mechanism. Public sources do not confirm all token functions, so check current pool documentation for the specific role.
Which blockchain is BLND on?
BLND is issued on Stellar, and Blend’s lending contracts run on Soroban. Use a wallet that supports the Stellar asset and verify the asset identity before transferring tokens.
What is the supply of BLND?
