XOXNO Liquid Staking Review 2026: xEGLD and a Stellar Money Market

XOXNO Liquid Staking is the xEGLD token for staking EGLD on MultiversX while keeping liquidity, part of a wider XOXNO protocol that now markets a lending platform on Stellar. It is small and unaudited by the listings reviewed, so treat it as a higher-risk option.

Our verdict on XOXNO Liquid Staking

5.5/10

XOXNO Liquid Staking suits EGLD holders who want a liquid staking token and are comfortable with a small, unaudited protocol. Its main strength is that xEGLD stays liquid and is integrated into a broader protocol with transparent market data. The main caveat is risk: no listed audits, under $1 million in TVL, unpublished fees and a homepage that now focuses on Stellar lending. Do your own checks on redemption terms before depositing.

What is XOXNO Liquid Staking?

XOXNO Liquid Staking is the xEGLD product from the XOXNO protocol. xEGLD is a liquid staking token for EGLD on MultiversX. It is pegged to EGLD and grows with staking rewards, so holders earn yield without giving up a liquid token. It is integrated across the wider XOXNO protocol.

The XOXNO website now leads with something different: a non-custodial money market on Stellar. It offers lending and borrowing of USDC, XLM and other assets, plus a swap aggregator, a bridge from 15+ chains and an SDK for developers. Readers should treat the staking product and the Stellar lending product as parts of one project, with the latter getting most of the homepage focus.

The liquid staking listing shows about $792,000 in total value locked, and the project has a token, XOXNO. No audits are listed. The Stellar markets were also small at the time of writing, with about $198,000 supplied and $51,000 borrowed.

How XOXNO Liquid Staking works

Staking EGLD normally locks it and pays rewards, and the stake cannot be moved freely. A liquid staking protocol pools stake and gives the depositor a receipt token. For XOXNO, that token is xEGLD, which is pegged to EGLD and grows with staking rewards.

Because xEGLD is a normal token, it can be held, moved or used in other parts of the XOXNO protocol while the underlying EGLD keeps earning. The material reviewed does not spell out the redemption process or any unstaking period.

The XOXNO homepage now focuses on a separate product: a money market on Stellar built on Soroban smart contracts. Users supply assets to earn interest paid by borrowers, and borrow against collateral. A Core hub holds the shared liquidity and isolated spokes accept other collateral. The homepage says borrowing up to 75% of XLM value is allowed and positions can be liquidated past 78%.

Key features

01

xEGLD liquid staking token

xEGLD is a liquid staking token for EGLD that is pegged to EGLD and grows with staking rewards, so users keep a tradable asset while earning yield.

02

Protocol integration

xEGLD is integrated across the XOXNO protocol rather than being a standalone token, which gives it uses beyond holding it.

03

Stellar lending markets

The homepage describes a Stellar money market where users supply USDC, XLM and other assets, borrow against collateral and build multiply strategies.

04

Hub and spoke design

A Core hub holds stablecoin and XLM liquidity, and isolated spokes accept other collateral such as tokenized treasuries and LP shares.

05

Non-custodial design

The homepage says actions are transactions signed in the user's own wallet, with open-source contracts and timelocked governance for parameter changes.

06

Swap aggregator and bridge

A swap aggregator splits trades across Stellar venues, and a bridge brings assets in from 15+ chains.

07

Developer SDK

A public SDK lets developers read live markets and build unsigned transactions for users to sign.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • xEGLD lets EGLD holders keep a liquid token while staking rewards accrue.
  • The token is integrated across the XOXNO protocol, giving it uses beyond simple holding.
  • The homepage describes a non-custodial design with open-source contracts and timelocked governance.
  • The homepage shows live market data, risk limits and liquidity figures openly.
  • The project offers a public SDK and an aggregator and bridge in the same ecosystem.

Watch out for

  • No audits are listed for the liquid staking product, and its homepage reviewed here does not point to audit reports.
  • TVL is under $1 million, so the staking pool is small and may be thinner than larger liquid staking options.
  • The homepage now centres on Stellar lending, so xEGLD on MultiversX gets less visible attention and its current documentation is harder to find.
  • Lending markets carry liquidation risk, variable rates and limited withdrawal liquidity when utilisation is high.
  • Fees, including any share of staking rewards kept by the protocol, are not published in the material reviewed.
  • The team, legal entity and regulatory status are not stated.

XOXNO Liquid Staking fees

Fees for staking EGLD into xEGLD, such as any protocol cut of staking rewards or unstaking charges, are not published in the material reviewed. Check the XOXNO app and documentation for current terms before depositing.

On the Stellar lending side, rates are variable and set by market utilisation. At the time of writing the homepage showed supply APYs from 0% on AQUA to about 1.5% on USDC. Swap quotes are shown before fees, and network fees on MultiversX or Stellar also apply.

Is XOXNO Liquid Staking safe?

No audits are listed for the liquid staking product. The homepage states that contracts are open source and that parameter changes go through timelocked on-chain governance, and that lending positions are priced by RedStone oracles. These are reasonable design choices, but they do not replace independent audit reports, which the project does not publish in the material reviewed. Liquid staking tokens add smart-contract risk and the risk that xEGLD drifts from the value of EGLD.

The lending side carries liquidation risk if collateral falls, and the homepage warns that withdrawals depend on available liquidity. The team, legal entity and regulatory status are not stated. With TVL under $1 million, size is a further risk, so only commit what you can afford to lose.

6 steps

How to get started with XOXNO Liquid Staking

  1. 1

Read the XOXNO documentation to confirm how xEGLD is minted, valued and redeemed, and any unstaking delay.

  2. 2

Set up a wallet that supports MultiversX and keep some EGLD for network fees.

  3. 3

Start with a small amount of EGLD to test staking and redemption before committing more.

  4. 4

Check the current staking terms and the xEGLD to EGLD exchange rate in the app.

  5. 5

If you want to use xEGLD elsewhere in the protocol, review each market's collateral and liquidation limits first.

  6. 6

Monitor your position and the protocol's announcements, since the product is small and may change.

Who XOXNO Liquid Staking is for

This is for EGLD holders on MultiversX who want staking yield with a liquid receipt token, and for DeFi users curious about XOXNO's Stellar lending markets. It is better for experienced users who can read contract documentation and accept smart-contract risk than for beginners or anyone needing a low-risk savings product.

XOXNO Liquid Staking FAQs

What is xEGLD?

xEGLD is a liquid staking token for EGLD on MultiversX. It is pegged to EGLD and grows with staking rewards, so holders earn yield while still holding a transferable token. It is integrated across the XOXNO protocol.

How does xEGLD earn yield?

The listing describes xEGLD as pegged to EGLD and growing with staking rewards. The exact mechanism, such as whether the value rises against EGLD over time, and any unstaking delay are not detailed in the material reviewed, so check the XOXNO documentation before depositing.

Is XOXNO only a Stellar lending protocol?

The homepage presents XOXNO as a non-custodial money market on Stellar where you supply assets, borrow against collateral and use multiply strategies. The liquid staking product is listed on MultiversX, so XOXNO appears to operate across more than one chain.

Has XOXNO Liquid Staking been audited?
