Thesauros Review 2026: Stablecoin Yield Vaults for Fintechs

Our verdict on Thesauros

6.4/10

Thesauros suits fintechs, wallets and platforms that want a stablecoin Earn feature built on Aave, Compound and Morpho. It also suits individuals who accept early-stage DeFi risk. Its main strengths are a non-custodial, timelocked design, two public Hexens reviews and clear performance-fee-only pricing. The main caveat is size and age: TVL is about $51,600 and it has been listed only since December 2025. Yield is variable, and the planned token incentives are not established. Start small and read the audits first.

What is Thesauros?

Thesauros is a decentralized yield protocol for stablecoins. It allocates deposits across lending venues under set risk and performance rules, and it returns yield through vault shares. DefiLlama lists it under Yield on Arbitrum, Base, Monad and Plasma, with a listing date of December 2025.

The homepage positions it less as a consumer app and more as infrastructure. Fintechs, neobanks, wallets and platforms can add an Earn account to their product, while Thesauros runs the vaults and lending connections. An individual app and an institution app are also linked from the site.

The protocol is very small. DefiLlama shows TVL of about $51,600 and a 7-day change of 0.1%. No token is listed, though the site refers to a planned TGE. Treat it as an early-stage product with a clear design and limited usage history.

How Thesauros works

A user or partner app deposits a stablecoin such as USDC into an ERC-4626 vault. The vault lends that deposit through approved markets: Aave V3, Compound V3 and Morpho vaults. The depositor receives vault shares that represent their claim on the deposit plus earned interest.

The interest comes from borrowers in those lending markets, so rates rise and fall with demand. An executor role moves funds between whitelisted markets as rates change. According to the site, it cannot withdraw customer funds, and new markets can be added only after a timelock.

When a user redeems, they exchange shares for the underlying stablecoin. This depends on available liquidity in the markets and on protocol pause controls, so withdrawals are not guaranteed to be instant under stress.

7 features

Key features

01

ERC-4626 vault shares

Customer positions are ERC-4626 vault shares that can be read onchain at any time. The shares represent a stablecoin deposit plus accrued yield.

02

Multi-market allocation

Vaults lend through Aave V3, Compound V3 and Morpho (including Steakhouse and Gauntlet vaults). They rebalance when rates change.

03

Timelocked market whitelist

New lending markets are added only through a timelocked whitelist. Changes are visible before they take effect, giving partners time to review.

04

Separate pause controls

Deposits and withdrawals have separate pause controls. Operating permissions are kept distinct from customer share ownership.

05

Partner integration layer

Fintechs, neobanks and wallets can add an Earn account or pocket through a single integration. The partner owns the interface and the customer relationship.

06

Partner fee sharing

Partners keep 30% of the 25% performance fee as standard. A temporary pre-TGE incentive offers up to 50%, and a planned Yield Booster offers up to 80% via token bonding.

07

App and developer tools

The site offers both an individual app and an institution app. It also lists documentation, SDKs and developer tools.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Non-custodial design: the site says no key can withdraw customer funds, and executors only move assets between whitelisted markets.
  • Two public security reviews by Hexens are cited, with medium and low findings reported as fixed.
  • Deposits go only to established lending protocols (Aave, Compound, Morpho), which are widely used.
  • Performance-fee-only pricing: no management, setup or principal fee, and no fee if no yield is earned.
  • Positions are standard ERC-4626 shares, readable onchain and easy to verify.
  • Timelocked whitelist changes give partners time to react to new markets.

Watch out for

  • TVL is only about $51,600 on DefiLlama, so the protocol is small and has little proven usage.
  • DefiLlama lists it from December 2025, so the track record is short.
  • Yield is variable and not guaranteed, and withdrawals depend on liquidity in the underlying lending markets.
  • The 25% performance fee is taken from yield, and rates shown on the homepage are labelled illustrative.
  • The partner incentive and Yield Booster depend on a token launch (TGE) that has not been confirmed publicly.
  • It is built mainly for businesses, so individual users get less of a product story than integrators do.

Thesauros fees

Thesauros states a 25% performance fee on yield generated. If a vault earns nothing, no fee is charged. There is no fee on principal, no management fee and no setup fee, and no minimum deposit.

Partners receive 30% of that fee as standard, which equals 7.5% of gross yield. A temporary incentive of up to 50% runs through the first 60 days after TGE, and a planned Yield Booster could raise the share to 80% with token bonding. Network gas fees and any fees charged by a partner app are not covered publicly, so check them in the app before depositing.

Is Thesauros safe?

Thesauros cites two public security reviews by Hexens, dated October 2025 and July 2026, with medium and low findings fixed. DefiLlama lists two audits. The site says keys operate the vault but do not hold funds, whitelist changes are timelocked, and deposits and withdrawals have separate pause controls. These claims come from the project and should be checked against the published reports and contracts.

Remaining risks include smart-contract bugs in the vaults, failures in Aave, Compound or Morpho, stablecoin depeg risk, and withdrawal limits when lending liquidity is tight. The protocol is new and small, so it has little time-tested history. Public sources mention no incidents. Regulatory status is not stated, and the project doesn't say whether partner fintechs carry their own compliance obligations.

Check which stablecoins and networks (Arbitrum, Base, Monad, Plasma per DefiLlama) are currently supported.

  3. 3

Open the individual app and connect a self-custody wallet, or use a partner app that integrates Thesauros.

  4. 4

Start with a small stablecoin deposit and note that rates are variable and shown as illustrative on the homepage.

  5. 5

Check your vault share balance onchain to confirm the position.

  6. 6

If you are a business, contact the team to scope assets, markets, commercial terms and integration steps.

Who Thesauros is for

Thesauros is mainly for product teams at fintechs, neobanks, wallets and platforms that want to add stablecoin yield without building lending infrastructure. It can also suit individual DeFi users who want a managed, non-custodial route into established lending markets and understand smart-contract and variable-yield risk.

Thesauros FAQs

What does Thesauros do?

Thesauros provides the vaults and lending connections behind a stablecoin Earn product. Deposits go into ERC-4626 vaults that lend through Aave, Compound and Morpho vaults. Partners such as fintechs and wallets build the interface on top.

Where does Thesauros yield come from?

Yield comes from interest paid by borrowers in the underlying lending markets. Rates move with supply and borrowing demand, so returns are variable and not guaranteed. The homepage rates are labelled illustrative.

How much does Thesauros cost?

Thesauros says it takes a 25% performance fee on yield generated. It states there is no fee on principal, no management fee and no setup fee. The standard partner share is 30% of that fee, or 7.5% of gross yield.

Is Thesauros non-custodial?

The site says no key can withdraw customer funds. The executor can only move assets between whitelisted lending markets, and withdrawals are made by the share owner or with their approval. Smart-contract and underlying-market risk still apply.

Has Thesauros been audited?

The homepage cites two public reviews by Hexens, dated October 2025 and July 2026, with medium and low findings fixed. DefiLlama lists two audits. Audits reduce risk but do not remove it.

Does Thesauros have a token?

Thesauros has no token in the DefiLlama data. The homepage mentions a planned TGE and a pre-TGE partner incentive, but no token ticker is given publicly.

Which chains does Thesauros run on?

DefiLlama lists Arbitrum, Base, Monad and Plasma. Check the official documentation for current supported assets and networks before depositing.
