Our verdict on Stryke CLAMM
6.2/10Stryke CLAMM suits experienced DeFi users who already understand options and concentrated liquidity and want exposure on Arbitrum, Base or Robinhood Chain. Its main strength is a defined-risk trading interface and a lineage that goes back to Dopex in 2021. The main caveat is that TVL is only about $179,000, no audits are listed, and the headline APRs are illustrative. Treat it as a high-risk product and size positions accordingly.

What is Stryke CLAMM?
Stryke CLAMM is a decentralised options protocol that DefiLlama describes as maximum liquidity and minimal exposure. It is the core of a suite that also includes Premarket and RFQ. Stryke traces its roots to Dopex, an options protocol launched in 2021, and rebranded when it shipped CLAMM in 2024.
DefiLlama lists it on Arbitrum, Robinhood Chain, Sonic, Base, Blast and Mantle, with TVL of about $179,000 and a listing date of November 2023. The homepage says the Dopex era peaked above $160M TVL and generated over $1B in options volume. Current TVL is a fraction of that.
The current focus is Robinhood Chain, where the team plans to offer options on tokenized stocks. The homepage markets covered calls and cash-secured puts with 100%+ APRs, but those are example figures, not guaranteed returns.
How Stryke CLAMM works
Options give the buyer the right to buy or sell an asset at a set price by a set date, in return for an upfront premium. In CLAMM, liquidity providers supply tokens within a chosen price range, as they would in a Uniswap v3 pool. Stryke lets those concentrated positions be used as the other side of options trades.
A trader picks a strike and expiry and pays a premium. The liquidity provider earns that premium and swap fees in exchange for taking the option-writer risk. The team's tagline is maximum liquidity and minimal exposure.
The wider suite adds Premarket, which trades options on tokenized stocks and other outcomes, and RFQ, where market makers quote larger sizes. SYK stakers share platform revenue. sykASH is a decaying rebate token for traders who realise losses.
7 features
Key features
01
Concentrated-liquidity options
CLAMM lets liquidity providers choose price ranges and sell options against that liquidity. It builds on Uniswap v3 hooks, which the team says was a first.
02
Swap-style options trading
The homepage says traders can pick a recommended strike, set a custom level, or choose a target return multiple. Matching spreads appear with the maximum loss shown before confirmation.
03
Defined-risk trades
Buyers pay a premium, and the homepage states their maximum loss is exactly what they pay. Payoff views show breakeven and upside before a trade.
04
Tokenized-stock options
Premarket launches first on Robinhood Chain with covered calls, cash-secured puts and spreads on tokenized stocks such as TSLA and NVDA. The team plans to expand it to any outcome.
05
sykASH loss rebates
Realised losses mint sykASH, a token that decays over 14 days and entitles active holders to 20% of platform fees.
06
SYK revenue sharing
Staking SYK entitles holders to a share of revenue across CLAMM and Premarket, according to the homepage.
07
RFQ and liquidity partners
RFQ is an institutional quote network where market makers compete to price size. Paradigm and Paradex are listed as liquidity partners.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Long operating history under the Dopex name, since 2021, according to the team.
- Concentrated-liquidity design lets LPs choose price ranges and earn both swap fees and option premiums.
- Buyers see their maximum loss, equal to the premium paid, before they confirm a trade.
- Multi-chain deployment across Arbitrum, Base, Robinhood Chain and others.
- The token model shares revenue with SYK stakers and active sykASH holders.
- Public docs, explainer videos and a blog cover how CLAMM works.
Watch out for
- TVL is about $179,000, far below the $160M+ peak the team cites for its Dopex era, so liquidity may be thin.
- DefiLlama lists no audits for the protocol, and the homepage does not point to audit reports.
- Options pricing, strikes and liquidity-provider payoffs are complex, and writing options against LP positions can lose money.
- The official SYK contract address is shown as TBA on the homepage, so token details are still in flux.
- The Robinhood Chain and Premarket rollout is new, and the homepage interfaces are described as illustrative, not live quotes.
- The 100%+ APR figures on the homepage are examples and depend on volatility and demand.
Stryke CLAMM fees
Stryke does not publish a full fee schedule on the homepage. Fees come from option premiums, CLAMM mint and trading fees, and Premarket settlement fees, which the team says flow into platform revenue. The homepage shows a WETH/USDC 0.3% tier, but it labels its interfaces and figures as illustrative examples, not quotes.
Liquidity providers earn option premiums plus swap fees, per the search listing for the app. You also pay network gas on each chain. Check the docs and the trade interface for current fees before committing funds.
Is Stryke CLAMM safe?
DefiLlama lists no audits for Stryke, and the homepage does not link to audit reports. Smart-contract risk is therefore a real concern. The protocol is non-custodial, so users keep funds in their own wallets until they deposit into contracts, and deposits are exposed to contract bugs and market moves. The team and any licensing are not described in the material the project publishes.
Options can expire worthless, and liquidity providers can lose principal if prices move against their range. The SYK contract address is listed as TBA on the homepage, so verify token addresses only through the official docs to avoid fakes. Check that derivatives and tokenized-stock products are legal where you live.
