ActiveSherpa Review 2026: Managed Delta-Neutral USDC Vault
Sherpa Earn is a managed USDC vault that targets yield from delta-neutral strategies across Ethereum, Base and Monad. It is young and small, so treat it as an early-stage product.

Our verdict on Sherpa
6.2/10Sherpa Earn suits USDC holders who want a hands-off, market-neutral yield strategy and accept manager and smart-contract risk. Its strengths are a clear single-asset focus, multi-chain access and visible transparency pages. The main caveats are its small size, short track record and unpublished fee and withdrawal details. Read the docs and the live APY before depositing, and treat any yield as variable rather than guaranteed.

What is Sherpa?
Sherpa Earn is a managed yield vault for USDC. Users deposit USDC, receive shUSD, and the vault is run by Hedgemony using quant-driven delta-neutral strategies. DefiLlama lists it as an onchain capital allocator on Ethereum, Base and Monad.
The homepage describes it as simple, diversified and hands-free. Strategies named by DefiLlama include positive carry capture, basis trading, volatility hedging and other arbitrage opportunities.
It is new. DefiLlama shows it listed since late November 2025, with about $470K in TVL and a 7-day change of -0.8%. The scale is small, and there is no governance token.
How Sherpa works
You deposit USDC into the vault and receive shUSD tokens. The shUSD token represents your share of the pool, and its share price is meant to rise as the strategy earns returns.
The vault is managed by Hedgemony. It uses delta-neutral strategies, which means taking offsetting positions so that gains and losses from price movements largely cancel out. Returns are meant to come from other sources, such as funding-rate carry, the gap between spot and futures prices (basis trading), and volatility hedging.
The vault runs in cycles and has a supply cap. The homepage shows a current cycle number and a next-cycle countdown, so deposit and withdrawal timing may be linked to those cycles. The project does not give exact rules.
6 features
Key features
01
USDC vault with shUSD
The vault takes USDC deposits and issues shUSD as a receipt for the depositor's share. The share price chart on the homepage tracks the vault's performance.
02
Delta-neutral strategies
The strategy aims for positive carry capture, basis trading, volatility hedging and other arbitrage, with limited exposure to price moves of the underlying assets.
03
Managed by Hedgemony
The vault is described as quant driven and managed by Hedgemony, so depositors do not have to run the trades themselves.
04
Multi-chain support
The app supports Ethereum, Base and Monad, with a separate Bridge page for moving between them.
05
Cycles and supply cap
The vault shows a supply cap and utilisation, and operates in numbered cycles with a next-cycle timer.
06
Transparency and activity feed
The site has Leaderboard and Transparency pages, a Recent Activity feed of the last 200 events, and docs.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Clear stablecoin-only focus on USDC, without exposure to volatile deposit assets
- Delta-neutral approach aims to reduce directional price risk
- Runs on three chains with a built-in bridge page
- Site includes Transparency, Leaderboard and docs pages plus a live activity feed
- Two audits are listed on DefiLlama
- No token to buy, so deposits are straightforward USDC
Watch out for
- TVL is small at about $470K, so the vault has limited scale and a short public record
- Strategy is run by a manager, so returns depend on trading decisions that depositors cannot verify directly
- Delta-neutral strategies can still lose money through funding-rate reversals, exchange risk, depegs or execution errors
- Fee levels, lockups and withdrawal timing are not stated
- The vault uses cycles and a supply cap, which may limit when users can deposit or exit
- Audit details and the auditors' names are not included publicly
Sherpa fees
The project does not publish fee details such as management fees, performance fees or deposit and withdrawal charges. Users would need to check the Transparency page and the docs, and review the vault terms in the app before depositing.
On top of any vault fees, depositors pay normal network gas on the chain they use, and possibly bridge costs if they move funds between chains.
Is Sherpa safe?
DefiLlama lists two audits, but the project does not say who performed them or what they covered. Smart-contract risk remains, as with any vault. The strategy is managed off the contracts by Hedgemony, so depositors also rely on the manager's execution, risk controls and any venues used for hedging.
Delta-neutral does not mean risk-free. Funding rates can turn negative, exchanges can fail, and stablecoins can depeg. TVL is small, and the product is under a year old. The project does not describe regulatory status or past incidents. Only deposit what you can afford to lose.
6 steps
How to get started with Sherpa
- 1
Read the docs and Transparency page to understand the strategy, fees and withdrawal rules.
- 2
Connect a compatible wallet on Ethereum, Base or Monad.
- 3
Make sure you hold USDC on the chain you plan to use, plus a small amount of gas token.
- 4
Use the Bridge page if you need to move USDC to another supported network.
- 5
Enter a deposit amount, check the estimated shUSD you will receive and confirm, keeping the supply cap in mind.
- 6
Monitor the share price, cycle timing and Recent Activity, and use the Withdraw tab when you want to exit.
Who Sherpa is for
It is for crypto users who hold USDC and want yield without actively trading, and who understand that a managed vault involves trust in the manager. It is less suited to people who need instant liquidity, want full control over positions, or avoid early-stage products.
Sherpa FAQs
What is Sherpa Earn?
Sherpa Earn is a managed yield vault. Users deposit USDC and receive shUSD, which represents a share of the vault. The vault is managed by Hedgemony and uses delta-neutral strategies such as basis trading and volatility hedging.
Which chains does Sherpa support?
Public sources name Ethereum, Base and Monad. The homepage also has a Bridge section for moving funds between supported networks.
What APY does Sherpa pay?
The homepage says it offers stable USDC yield, but the average APY loaded dynamically and no figure is available publicly. Check the live app for current numbers, and remember that yields can change or turn negative.
Is Sherpa safe?
DefiLlama lists two audits, but the project does not name the auditors or the scope. Even audited contracts carry risk, and the strategy itself is run by a manager, which adds trading and counterparty risk.
Does Sherpa have a token?
No. DefiLlama lists the token as none. The vault share token is shUSD, which represents a claim on the vault rather than a governance token.
How do withdrawals work?
The homepage has a Withdraw tab and mentions cycles, with a next-cycle countdown. The exact withdrawal rules and timing are not public, so read the docs before depositing.
