ActiveRysk Premium Review 2026: Upfront Options Yield Explained
Rysk Premium is the institutional-facing arm of Rysk, a protocol that pays holders upfront for selling covered calls and cash-secured puts. Yields can look high, but they come from giving up upside or taking on downside, and no audits are listed.

Our verdict on Rysk Premium
6.5/10Rysk Premium suits crypto holders and allocators who understand options and want income from covered calls or cash-secured puts without trading venues. Its main strength is a clear model: choose a strike and expiry, and the premium is paid upfront. The main caveat is that the yield is compensation for capped upside or downside exposure, and no audits or fee schedule are listed. The Premium product is new and small by TVL, so start small.

What is Rysk Premium?
Rysk Premium is the institutional-facing product from Rysk, a DeFi protocol where holders earn upfront yield by selling options. Its description calls it infrastructure for volatility income that lets capital allocators deploy curated, custom structured products using options strategies.
The main Rysk app lets users pick an asset, a strike and an expiry, then get paid a premium upfront. It lists covered calls on assets such as HYPE variants, WBTC, WETH, liquid staking tokens, XAUT, PURR and wrapped SOL and PUMP, and also offers cash-secured puts.
Rysk Premium appears on DefiLlama since March 2026, with about $91k in TVL, on HyperEVM and Ethereum. One search result quotes Rysk's own post claiming $1.4B in capital in motion and $17.6M of income paid upfront since its V12 launch. That is a self-reported figure for the wider protocol, not for Premium.
How Rysk Premium works
Rysk sells options on behalf of its users. When you choose an asset, a strike price and an expiry, you take the writer's side of an option. For a covered call you lock up the asset itself. For a cash-secured put you lock up stablecoins that could buy the asset at the strike.
In return, you receive the option premium upfront. If the option expires out of the money, you keep the premium and your collateral. If it finishes in the money, the collateral is used to settle: a covered call sells your asset at the strike, and a put buys the asset at the strike.
Rysk Premium builds on this for capital allocators. It is described as infrastructure for custom, curated structured products using options strategies across asset classes. The specific product terms and counterparties for Premium are not detailed in the information we reviewed.

Key features
01
Upfront covered calls
Holders of supported assets sell call options against them and receive the premium at the start, rather than waiting for the term to end.
02
Cash-secured puts
Users can hold stablecoin collateral and sell put options, earning a premium in exchange for agreeing to buy the asset at the strike.
03
Strike and expiry choice
The user picks a strike and expiry, and the app shows a minimum and maximum APR for that asset.
04
Broad asset list
Supported assets include HYPE variants, WBTC, WETH, liquid staking tokens, XAUT, PURR and wrapped SOL and PUMP.
05
Curated structured products
Rysk Premium targets capital allocators who want customised options-based structured products for volatility income.
06
Dashboard and points
The app includes a dashboard, points and a leaderboard, and a separate portfolio tool tracks wallet trade history and positions.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Premium is paid upfront, so income is known when the position opens.
- Clear, familiar strategies: covered calls and cash-secured puts.
- Wide asset list across HyperEVM and Ethereum mainnet.
- Users choose their strike and expiry, giving control over risk and yield.
- The wider protocol has a track record spanning several versions, including an earlier Arbitrum launch.
Watch out for
- Covered calls cap upside: if the asset rises past the strike, the user gives up gains beyond it.
- Cash-secured puts can leave users holding an asset after a price drop, with the upfront premium as the only cushion.
- No audits are listed in the data we reviewed, so smart-contract risk is hard to size.
- Displayed APR ranges are wide (for example 4.57% to 87.17% on HYPE assets) and depend on the strike and expiry chosen.
- Many supported assets are wrapped or liquid-staking tokens, adding bridge, issuer and depeg risk on top of the options risk.
- The Premium product is new, listed since March 2026, and its TVL is small at about $91k.
Rysk Premium fees
Fees are not published in the information we reviewed. The app shows APR ranges per asset rather than a fee schedule, so users should check the quote screen before confirming a trade.
In options protocols, costs usually show up in the premium quoted and in gas on the chain used. Ethereum mainnet gas is typically higher than HyperEVM. Any protocol or performance fee, if one exists, is not stated here.
Is Rysk Premium safe?
No audits are listed for Rysk Premium in the data we reviewed, and the project's licensing, team and insurance arrangements are not stated here. Users should look for audit reports and documentation on the official site before depositing.
Risks include smart-contract bugs, pricing or settlement errors, and the behaviour of wrapped and liquid-staking collateral. Options positions can also lose value relative to simply holding: a covered call forfeits upside, and a put can assign you an asset that has dropped. DeFi positions are not covered by deposit insurance. Check the rules in your jurisdiction.

Who Rysk Premium is for
Rysk Premium suits holders of HYPE, ETH, BTC and similar assets who are comfortable with options and accept capped upside or put assignment in return for upfront income. It also targets capital allocators looking for custom structured products. It is not for anyone who wants guaranteed yield or full exposure to price gains.
Rysk Premium FAQs
What is Rysk Premium?
Rysk Premium is described as infrastructure for volatility income. It lets capital allocators deploy curated, custom structured products built from options strategies. It sits alongside Rysk's main app, which offers covered calls and cash-secured puts to individual users.
What can I earn yield on with Rysk?
The app shows covered calls on assets such as HYPE variants, WBTC, WETH, wstETH, rETH, XAUT, PURR and others. Cash-secured puts are listed as a second product type, and a search result notes SOL cash-secured puts went live in November 2025.
Where does the yield come from?
The yield is the premium paid for the option you write. You receive it upfront, but you accept limits: a covered call caps your upside above the strike, and a cash-secured put obliges you to buy the asset at the strike if price falls below it.
Is the APR guaranteed?
No. The listed APRs are ranges that change with the asset, strike and expiry. A higher APR generally means a strike closer to the current price, which raises the chance the option is exercised.
Has Rysk Premium been audited?
The data we reviewed lists no audits for Rysk Premium. The protocol's own materials may say more, so check the official site and documentation before depositing, and only use funds you can afford to lose.
Which chains does it run on?
The app lists assets on HyperEVM and Ethereum mainnet. An older search result also mentions a launch on Arbitrum, but the current app tables show only HyperEVM and Ethereum.
