Our verdict on Lista CDP

Lista CDP was a MakerDAO-style way to borrow lisUSD against BNB, ETH and stablecoins on BNB Chain, with two audits listed. It is now being phased out in favour of Lista Lending, with a migration deadline of 31 October 2026. New users should look at Lista Lending or other options instead. Existing position holders should read the official notices and migrate or withdraw before the deadline. Fee and rate details were not available publicly reviewed.

What is Lista CDP?

Lista CDP is the collateralized debt position product from Lista DAO, a protocol on BNB Chain. It lets users lock assets such as BNB, ETH and stablecoins and borrow lisUSD, a decentralized stablecoin built on the MakerDAO model. DefiLlama has listed it since August 2022 and shows the LISTA token and two audits.

The product is now being wound down. Lista DAO announced a CDP sunset, saying it will be phased out as everything is unified under Lista Lending. Public reporting report a migration window that closes on 31 October 2026, after which remaining users must have moved to Lista Lending or withdrawn collateral.

TVL figures differ between sources. DefiLlama shows roughly $64 million with a 7-day decline of 16.7%, while another tracker reports about $82 million after a 63.3% fall over 30 days. Both are consistent with users leaving as migration proceeds. A roadmap page also mentions fixed-rate lending for Lista CDP, which appears to conflict with the sunset, so treat it as dated.

How Lista CDP works

A collateralized debt position (CDP) protocol lets you lock crypto in a smart contract and borrow a stablecoin against it. In Lista CDP the stablecoin is lisUSD. You deposit collateral such as BNB, ETH or stablecoins, then mint lisUSD up to a limit set by the collateral's value.

The position must stay over-collateralized. If the collateral's value falls too far relative to the debt, the position can be liquidated to protect the system. To get your collateral back, you repay the lisUSD you borrowed plus any accrued charges.

Lista has said it is phasing out this standalone CDP product and unifying everything under Lista Lending. Users with remaining CDP positions are asked to migrate or withdraw by the stated deadline.

6 features

Key features

01

Collateralized lisUSD minting

Users lock collateral such as BNB, ETH or stablecoins and borrow lisUSD against it, following the MakerDAO approach.

02

Decentralized stablecoin

lisUSD is described as a decentralized, collateral-backed stablecoin rather than one backed by a central issuer.

03

BNB Chain deployment

The protocol runs on BNB Chain, according to DefiLlama.

04

Migration to Lista Lending

Lista says it is unifying its products under Lista Lending and has started migrating CDP users there.

05

Listed audits

DefiLlama lists two audits for the protocol, though the auditors and scope are not stated publicly.

06

Open-source, permissionless design

Lista describes itself as an open-source, permissionless protocol for earning yield and borrowing.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Used the MakerDAO-style over-collateralized model, which is well understood.
  • Accepted several collateral types, including BNB, ETH and stablecoins.
  • Two audits are listed on DefiLlama.
  • Open-source and permissionless, per its own description.
  • Lista has communicated the sunset and a clear migration path to Lista Lending.

Watch out for

  • The product is being sunset, so new users have no reason to start using it.
  • Users with open positions must migrate or withdraw collateral by 31 October 2026, or they risk problems with their funds.
  • TVL data is inconsistent across sources and has fallen sharply, which points to users leaving.
  • Fee, interest-rate and liquidation-penalty figures are not public reviewed.
  • Exposure is limited to BNB Chain, and the CDP model carries liquidation risk if collateral falls in value.

Lista CDP fees

Fee details are not published publicly reviewed. That includes the stability or borrowing rate, any minting fee and the liquidation penalty. These would normally be shown per collateral type in the Lista app and its documentation.

Because the CDP product is being wound down, rates and parameters may change or no longer apply. Anyone with an open position should check the official migration notice and the Lista Lending terms before acting.

Is Lista CDP safe?

DefiLlama lists two audits, but the auditors, dates and findings are not given publicly reviewed. As a non-custodial smart-contract protocol, users keep control of their wallets but carry smart-contract risk, collateral price risk and liquidation risk.

The sunset adds its own risks. Users who miss the 31 October 2026 deadline or misread the instructions could face complications with their positions. Rely only on official Lista channels, and be wary of phishing messages that exploit migration notices. No hack or exploit is mentioned publicly reviewed.

6 steps

How to get started with Lista CDP

  1. 1

Check the official Lista DAO announcements to confirm the current status of the CDP product and the migration deadline.

  2. 2

If you have no position, do not open a new one. The product is being phased out.

  3. 3

If you hold a position, review your collateral and your outstanding lisUSD debt in the Lista app.

  4. 4

Choose between migrating to Lista Lending and repaying your debt to withdraw collateral, and read the instructions for each.

  5. 5

Complete the migration or withdrawal before 31 October 2026.

  6. 6

Verify afterwards that your assets or new position appear correctly, and only use the official site and verified links.

Who Lista CDP is for

This page is mainly for people who still hold a Lista CDP position or researchers tracking BNB Chain stablecoin protocols. New borrowers should look at Lista Lending or other platforms instead.

Lista CDP FAQs

Is Lista CDP shutting down?

Lista DAO has announced a sunset of its CDP product. Public reporting points to a migration window that closes on 31 October 2026, after which users with remaining positions are expected to have moved to Lista Lending or withdrawn collateral.

What should I do if I still have a Lista CDP position?

Lista DAO says users should migrate to Lista Lending or withdraw their collateral by 31 October 2026. Check the official Lista announcements and documentation for the exact steps, because this review does not cover the migration interface.

What is lisUSD?

lisUSD is the decentralized stablecoin that users borrow against collateral in Lista CDP. DefiLlama describes it as collateral-backed and based on the MakerDAO model.

What collateral did Lista CDP accept?

DefiLlama and the Lista description list BNB, ETH, stablecoins and other cryptocurrencies as collateral. The exact list of supported assets at any given time is not public reviewed.

What is the LISTA token?

DefiLlama lists LISTA as the token tied to the protocol. The role of the token during and after the CDP sunset is not detailed publicly reviewed, so check Lista's official announcements.

Is Lista CDP safe?

The protocol is listed with two audits on DefiLlama. Audits reduce but do not remove smart-contract risk, and the sunset adds migration and operational risk for anyone still holding a position.
