Our verdict on Kvants

6.5/10

Kvants suits systematic traders and quant-curious users who want to build, backtest and paper trade strategies in plain English before risking money. Its main strength is the transparent, cost-aware model and validation tooling. The main caveat is the vault side: TVL is under $90,000, no audits are listed and vault fees are not published, so treat any deposit as early-stage risk and rely on paper trading first.

What is Kvants?

Kvants is an AI-driven quantitative asset management platform. Its public face is Kvants Studio, a no-code builder where users describe a strategy in plain English and receive an editable quantitative model that can be backtested, validated and paper traded. The listing also describes on-chain and CeFi trading vaults, and it runs on Base and Solana.

The pitch is a contrast with news-driven AI agents. A Kvants agent is built from explicit signals, sizing and risk rules, so its behaviour can be inspected and tested rather than inferred from headlines. The builder offers 71 building blocks, 25 signals and 16 strategy templates.

On the numbers, total value locked is about $88,600, and it has been tracked since November 2025. No audits are listed. The KVAI token is used for AI credits, VIP tiers and, according to the listing, governance and value accrual through rewards and buybacks. The project is early and small, and most of its detailed documentation covers the Studio rather than the vaults.

How Kvants works

Kvants has two parts. Kvants Studio is a workspace where you write a trading thesis in plain English. The AI turns it into an explicit quantitative model made of signals, position sizing and risk rules. You can edit each node, then backtest it on NautilusTrader with modeled fees, slippage and funding.

Validation is meant to separate durable logic from coincidence. Walk-forward analysis compares in-sample and out-of-sample performance, and crisis replays test stressed periods. A strategy can then be paper traded, or exported to TradingView Pine Script v6 or a.kvants.json file.

The second part is the vault side. The listing describes on-chain and CeFi trading vaults running quant strategies with non-custodial execution across exchanges and DEXs. Users deposit into a vault and a strategy trades on their behalf, so returns depend on strategy performance and execution. The KVAI token funds AI compute credits and sets VIP access tiers.

8 features

Key features

01

Plain-English strategy builder

Describe a trading thesis in plain English and the AI drafts a model of signals, position sizing and risk rules that you can inspect and edit. No code is required.

02

Visible building blocks

The builder offers 71 building blocks, 25 signals and 16 curated strategy templates. Every signal, parameter and risk rule is visible and editable.

03

Cost-aware backtesting

Runs on NautilusTrader with single-asset, multi-asset, parameter-sweep, walk-forward and crisis-period modes. It models fees, slippage and funding across 14 venues and reports 16+ metrics.

04

Overfitting checks

Walk-forward analysis aims to catch curve-fitting, and crisis replays test stressed regimes such as March 2020 and May 2022.

05

Paper trading

Strategies can be paper traded on Alpaca paper for US equities or with simulated fills on live crypto markets before any real capital is involved.

06

Portable exports

Export to TradingView Pine Script v6 or to a portable.kvants.json file, so a model is not locked inside the platform.

07

Strategy Brain memory

Strategy Brain keeps cross-session memory of regime context, performance drift and parameter sensitivity to guide iteration.

08

Quant trading vaults

The listing describes on-chain and CeFi trading vaults with non-custodial execution across exchanges and DEXs.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Strategies are explicit models with visible signals, sizing and risk rules rather than opaque AI output.
  • Backtests include modeled fees, slippage and funding, which makes results less flattering and more realistic.
  • Walk-forward and crisis-period validation address curve-fitting directly.
  • Free to start with no card, and AI use is metered so you pay only for compute used.
  • Strategies can be exported to TradingView Pine Script v6 or a portable file.
  • Paper trading lets users test ideas without real capital.

Watch out for

  • Total value locked is small, at roughly $88,600, so the on-chain vault side has little demonstrated adoption.
  • No audits are listed, so smart-contract risk is not independently reviewed.
  • The team, fees for vaults and the token's economics are not published.
  • Backtest and paper-trading results are simulated and, as the project itself states, are not a reliable indicator of future results.
  • AI features require KVAI deposits for credits, which ties routine use to a token whose price can move.
  • The trading-vault side described in the listing is harder to verify than the Studio, which is the part with detailed public documentation.

Kvants fees

The project does not publish vault fees such as management or performance fees. Anyone considering a vault should check the vault page in the app before depositing.

Studio pricing is described as free to start on the Operator tier, with no card required. AI features run on metered credits funded with KVAI deposits. Each request holds an estimate, settles on actual compute used and refunds the rest, with a full refund if the request fails. Higher VIP tiers, set by KVAI held or locked, unlock deeper AI effort levels. Network fees on Base and Solana would apply to on-chain actions.

Is Kvants safe?

No audits are listed for Kvants, and the project does not publish team or security-contact details. The listing describes non-custodial execution, but users still depend on smart contracts, exchange and DEX integrations, and the strategies themselves. Trading vaults can lose money, and quant strategies that backtest well can fail live.

The project states that simulated results are hypothetical and not a reliable indicator of future results. Regulatory status is not stated. Paying for AI credits with a token adds price exposure. Only commit funds you can afford to lose, and verify contract addresses and vault terms before depositing.

6 steps

How to get started with Kvants

  1. 1

Read the documentation and the Studio overview on the official site to understand what the builder and backtester do.

  2. 2

Open the app and start on the free Operator tier, which needs no card.

  3. 3

Describe a trading idea in plain English and review the model the AI drafts, including signals, sizing and stop-loss rules.

  4. 4

Run a backtest with modeled costs, then check the walk-forward and crisis-period results for signs of curve-fitting.

  5. 5

Paper trade the strategy on Alpaca paper or with simulated crypto fills before committing real money.

  6. 6

If you want AI credits, fund them with KVAI deposits only in an amount you can afford to lose, and check vault terms and risks before depositing anywhere.

Who Kvants is for

Kvants is aimed at systematic traders, quant researchers, emerging fund managers and AI-native investors who want to build stock and crypto strategies in one workspace. It fits people who prefer inspectable rules over black-box signals. It is less suited to users who want a proven, audited vault with a long track record.

Kvants FAQs

What is Kvants?
