Our verdict on DSF.Finance

1.5/10

DSF.Finance is not a platform anyone should use right now. It set out to make Ethereum stablecoin yield a one-click process using Curve and Convex, and that approach was easy to understand. Its main strength was relying on established protocols. The main caveat is decisive: the homepage says service is suspended after unauthorized withdrawals affected user deposits, with no published resumption date, loss figure or compensation plan. Existing depositors should follow only the official channels for updates. Newcomers should look elsewhere for yield.

What is DSF.Finance?

DSF.Finance is an Ethereum yield platform that offered stablecoin strategies through Curve and Convex. It was listed from late December 2023 and marketed itself as a simple, one-click route into DeFi yield for both experienced and new users.

The service is not currently operating. The official homepage carries a notice, in Russian and English, saying DSF Invest has been temporarily suspended after unauthorized asset withdrawals affecting user deposits. The operator says it is examining the circumstances and cooperating with law enforcement.

The notice tells users not to deposit or interact with DSF smart contracts until further notice. Updates are promised through its X account and a Telegram channel called DSF Global News. Remaining value in the protocol is negligible, at about 18 US dollars, and fell by roughly 17 percent over the past week.

How DSF.Finance works

DSF.Finance is a yield aggregator. A user deposits stablecoins into the platform's smart contracts, and the platform allocates that money across strategies on other protocols. Its stated building blocks are Curve, a stablecoin-focused exchange, and Convex, a service that boosts rewards for Curve liquidity providers.

The goal is to earn trading fees and reward tokens without the user having to choose pools, stake, claim and compound by hand. The platform describes this as a one-click process.

This design carries layered risk. Funds sit in DSF's own contracts and in the contracts of the protocols it uses, so a flaw or compromise at any layer can affect depositors. The suspension notice says unauthorized withdrawals have affected user deposits.

4 features

Key features

01

One-click investing

The platform aimed to let users enter stablecoin yield strategies in a single step instead of managing positions manually.

02

Curve and Convex strategies

Strategies were built on established Ethereum protocols, specifically Curve and Convex, rather than on a custom exchange or lending market.

03

Stablecoin focus

The project focused on stablecoins and described its approach as balancing yield with managed risk.

04

Ethereum deployment

The protocol ran on Ethereum only, with two audits listed for it.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Built on established Ethereum protocols, Curve and Convex, rather than novel mechanisms
  • Two audits are listed for the project
  • The operator published a clear public notice and a stop-interacting warning rather than staying silent
  • The operator states it is cooperating with law enforcement

Watch out for

  • Service suspended after unauthorized withdrawals affected user deposits
  • The operator tells users not to deposit or interact with its smart contracts
  • No public timeline for resumption, and the cause is still being examined
  • Fees and fee structure are not published
  • Strategy depended on third-party protocols (Curve and Convex), adding layered smart-contract risk
  • Very little value remains in the protocol, and it fell further in the past week

DSF.Finance fees

DSF.Finance does not publish a fee schedule on its homepage, which now shows only the suspension notice. Yield platforms of this type usually take a performance or management fee from earned yield, and users also pay Ethereum gas on deposits and withdrawals, but the amounts for DSF are not stated.

With deposits currently discouraged by the operator, fees are a secondary concern. The question is whether any funds can be recovered.

Is DSF.Finance safe?

The suspension notice is the most important safety fact. Unauthorized withdrawals affected user deposits, and the operator tells users not to deposit or interact with its contracts. Two audits are listed for the project, but an audit does not rule out a later incident, and the notice does not say how the withdrawals occurred.

The project does not publish a loss amount, recovery plan or compensation terms. It does not state a regulatory status. Users who held deposits should rely only on the official channels named in the notice and avoid anyone offering to recover funds for a fee.

5 steps

How to get started with DSF.Finance

  1. 1

Do not deposit funds or interact with DSF smart contracts while the suspension notice is in place.

  2. 2

If you previously deposited, check the official X account (@Dsffinance) and the Telegram channel DSF Global News for incident updates.

  3. 3

Review your wallet for any outstanding approvals to DSF contracts and consider revoking them using a reputable approval-management tool.

  4. 4

Be wary of direct messages or sites offering recovery or compensation, as scams commonly follow incidents.

  5. 5

If you are an affected user, consider reporting your loss to the relevant law enforcement authority, as the operator says it is working with them.

Who DSF.Finance is for

Nobody should deposit into DSF.Finance at present. This page is mainly useful to past depositors tracking the incident and to researchers who want to understand what the platform was and how its strategy worked.
