Our verdict on aPriori

5.5/10

aPriori suits Monad users who want to stake MON and keep a liquid, reward-bearing token in return. Its main strength is a clear ERC-4626 design aiming for MEV-boosted yield on top of normal staking rewards. The main caveat is the lack of documented audits, unpublished fees and a very short track record with small TVL. Treat it as an early-stage protocol and start with a small amount.

What is aPriori?

aPriori is a liquid staking protocol on Monad. Users stake MON and receive aprMON, a reward-bearing ERC-4626 token that earns both proof-of-stake rewards and MEV-boosted yield, according to DefiLlama's description.

The official site is branded Capricorn Tech and describes an intelligent order flow coordination layer for high-performance blockchains. Its navigation lists Stake, Bridge, Exchange and Lock sections plus documentation. The homepage shows a TVL of 13,272,543 MON and 4,999 holders.

DefiLlama lists the protocol under Liquid Staking on Monad with TVL of about $192,642, down 21.2% over seven days. It has been tracked there since 2026-05-13 and has no audits listed. The protocol token is APR. The gap between the two TVL figures is not explained, so treat both with caution.

How aPriori works

On a proof-of-stake chain, holders can stake tokens to help secure the network and earn rewards, but staked tokens are normally locked. Liquid staking gives the staker a receipt token in return. On aPriori, you stake MON and receive aprMON.

aprMON is a reward-bearing ERC-4626 token. ERC-4626 is a standard for tokenised vaults, where the token represents a share of an underlying pool that grows as rewards accrue. Holding aprMON means holding a claim on the staked MON plus earned rewards.

The project says aprMON earns two kinds of yield: standard proof-of-stake rewards and MEV-boosted yield. MEV (maximal extractable value) is extra value that can be captured through how transactions are ordered in a block. How aPriori captures and shares it is not detailed publicly, so check the docs for the mechanics.

5 features

Key features

01

MON liquid staking

Users stake MON and receive aprMON, so the stake stays represented by a token instead of being locked without a receipt.

02

ERC-4626 reward token

aprMON is described as reward-bearing and built on the ERC-4626 vault standard, which is widely supported by other DeFi tooling.

03

PoS plus MEV yield

Yield comes from both standard proof-of-stake rewards and MEV-boosted rewards, according to the project description.

04

Wider app sections

The homepage navigation lists Stake, Bridge, Exchange and Lock sections in addition to documentation, which suggests a broader product set. The project does not detail them.

05

Order flow positioning

The homepage describes an intelligent order flow coordination layer for high-performance blockchains, which frames the staking product within a larger infrastructure pitch.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Clear liquid staking model: stake MON, receive a transferable reward-bearing token.
  • Uses the ERC-4626 standard, which is familiar and widely supported.
  • Targets MEV-boosted yield on top of base staking rewards.
  • Official site shows a holder count and TVL, and links to documentation.
  • Has its own token, APR, and lists additional Bridge, Exchange and Lock products.

Watch out for

  • DefiLlama shows no audits listed for the protocol, so smart-contract risk is not independently documented publicly.
  • TVL on DefiLlama is small (about $192,642) and fell 21.2% over seven days, so liquidity and traction are unproven.
  • DefiLlama has tracked it only since 2026-05-13, so the track record is very short.
  • Fees, commission on rewards and unstaking terms are not published publicly reviewed.
  • MEV-boosted yield can vary and depends on activity on Monad, so returns are not guaranteed.
  • The homepage is branded Capricorn Tech and the TVL figure it shows is in MON, which makes it harder to compare with DefiLlama's USD number.

aPriori fees

Fees are not published publicly reviewed. That includes any commission taken on staking or MEV rewards, and any unstaking or exit costs.

Readers should look at the staking interface and the official documentation before depositing. Monad network gas fees would also apply to transactions.

Is aPriori safe?

DefiLlama lists no audits for aPriori. The project does not say whether audits exist elsewhere, so check the official documentation for audit reports and any bug bounty. Liquid staking adds smart-contract risk on top of the base staking risk, and an MEV-driven yield strategy adds further operational complexity.

The protocol is new, tracked since 2026-05-13, and small by TVL. No hacks or incidents are mentioned publicly, but a short history is not evidence of safety. Do not stake more than you can afford to lose, and keep in mind that aprMON could trade away from the value of the underlying MON if liquidity is thin.

6 steps

How to get started with aPriori

  1. 1

Read the official documentation to understand how aprMON rewards, fees and unstaking work.

  2. 2

Set up a wallet that supports Monad and fund it with MON and a little extra for gas.

  3. 3

Open the Stake section of the official site and connect the wallet.

  4. 4

Stake a small amount of MON first and confirm you receive aprMON.

  5. 5

Check how the aprMON balance or exchange rate changes over time to see the rewards accrue.

  6. 6

Review the unstaking process before committing a larger amount.

Who aPriori is for

aPriori is for Monad holders who want staking rewards without locking MON, and who can read documentation and accept early-stage smart-contract risk. It is not suited to anyone who needs audited, long-established infrastructure.

aPriori FAQs

What is aPriori?

aPriori is a liquid staking protocol on the Monad blockchain. Users stake MON and receive aprMON, a reward-bearing token that earns both proof-of-stake rewards and MEV-boosted yield, according to DefiLlama's description.

What is aprMON?

aprMON is the token you receive when you stake MON. It follows the ERC-4626 vault standard, so its value reflects accumulating rewards rather than paying them out separately.

Does aPriori have a token?

Public sources name APR as its token, but they do not explain what the token does. Check the official documentation for its role before buying it.

Is aPriori audited?

Public sources list no audits on DefiLlama, and the protocol has only been tracked there since 2026-05-13. That does not prove a problem, but it means smart-contract risk is not documented here. Check the official docs for any audit reports before staking.

What are the fees on aPriori?

The project does not publish fees, reward commission or unstaking terms. These should be shown in the app and the documentation, and you should read them before committing funds.

Which blockchains does aPriori support?

Only Monad is listed. The homepage also shows Bridge, Exchange and Lock sections, but the project does not describe them in detail.
