What is DFI.money (YFII)?
DFI.money is a decentralized finance project focused on yield aggregation: tools that can pool or route crypto assets in pursuit of returns from DeFi activities. YFII is its token. The project is described as a fork of Yearn.finance (YFI) that implemented YIP-8; that identifies its origins, but does not by itself establish how the protocol or its products work today.
YFII is not a coin that secures its own blockchain. It is an Ethereum token associated with the DFI.money project. Public descriptions identify governance as one of its uses and say contributors may earn YFII. Those descriptions do not guarantee that governance or token rewards are currently active, or that holding YFII gives a claim on protocol revenue. Check current project information before relying on a particular feature.
What is YFII used for?
YFII has been described as a governance token, meaning it may be used to vote on decisions about the DFI.money protocol. Public descriptions also associate it with rewards for people who contribute to the project. The details that matter to a holder—such as who can propose changes, how voting power is counted, and whether rewards are currently offered—should be confirmed through current project documentation and on-chain activity.
Do not assume that owning YFII gives you a share of fees, a guaranteed yield, or control over every part of the protocol. Governance rights can be limited by proposal rules, participation, and the way a protocol is administered. YFII itself does not generate a fixed return simply by being held. Any yield strategy involving DFI.money or another DeFi service has separate risks, including the possibility of losing some or all of the deposited assets.
Supply and blockchain
YFII is issued on Ethereum as an ERC-20 token. It is not listed as the native token of a blockchain, and public sources identify Ethereum as its issuance chain. If you transfer or store YFII, use an Ethereum-compatible wallet and make sure the receiving service supports the token on Ethereum. Sending it to an address or network that does not support it can make recovery difficult or impossible.
The stated maximum supply is 40,000 YFII. As of 2026-11-05, about 39,732 were circulating and total supply was about 40,000. These are supply figures, not a measure of how readily tokens can be traded. On that date, reported market capitalization was about $945,000 and 24-hour trading volume about $1,400, both of which can change and are not guarantees of liquidity. Confirm current figures independently before making a transaction.
Risks to understand
YFII carries the risks of both a small crypto asset and a DeFi-related token. Its reported trading volume was low as of 2026-11-05, so a trade may be difficult to execute at the expected price, especially for a larger order. Market prices can move sharply, and the token’s past price history does not predict future performance.
There are also protocol risks. Yield aggregation can involve smart contracts and interactions with other DeFi systems; errors, exploits, or changes in those systems can cause losses. Governance may not prevent a failure or guarantee that holders’ interests are protected. A fork’s history is not proof of current security, development, or user activity. Before using a protocol, check whether its contracts and governance are current and understand the risks of depositing assets. Do not treat potential yield as guaranteed income or YFII as a low-risk savings product.
How to store YFII
For basic custody, YFII can be held in a wallet that supports Ethereum ERC-20 tokens. A self-custody wallet gives you control of the keys, but also makes you responsible for keeping the recovery phrase private and secure. Never share that phrase or enter it into a site or message claiming to provide support. Consider using a hardware wallet for long-term storage if it supports the token and you understand how to use it.
If you use an exchange, check that it supports YFII deposits and withdrawals on Ethereum, not just trading or a different network. Confirm the token contract through a trusted, current project or blockchain source before adding it to a wallet; token names and symbols can be copied. Test with a small transfer when appropriate, and check network fees and the destination address carefully. Custody choices reduce some risks but cannot remove price, smart-contract, or liquidity risks.
By the numbers
DFI.money in numbers
DFI.money (YFII) is ranked #3,151 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $898K and a price of $22.59 as of Nov 7, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($904K) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was down 5.5% over 7 days, down 42.4% over 30 days, down 65.5% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $9,252, set on Sep 1, 2020.
About 39.73K YFII are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 40K (99% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $1.39K, or 0.2% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
YFII has token contracts on Ethereum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
YFII is linked to YFII, which we cover in our Yield Aggregator rankings. See our YFII page for how the protocol works and how we score it.

YFII FAQs
What blockchain is YFII on?
YFII is an ERC-20 token issued on Ethereum. It is not described as the native coin of its own blockchain.
What is YFII used for?
YFII has been described as a governance token and as a possible reward for contributors. These descriptions do not establish that voting or rewards are currently available, so check current project information.
What is the maximum supply of YFII?
The stated maximum supply is 40,000 YFII. About 39,732 were circulating as of 2026-11-05; supply figures can change or be reported differently over time.
How can I store YFII?
YFII can be stored in a wallet that supports Ethereum ERC-20 tokens. Verify the token contract and network, and protect your recovery phrase; sending tokens through an unsupported network can lead to loss.
What are the risks of YFII?
YFII has substantial risks, including volatile prices, potentially limited trading liquidity, and risks tied to smart contracts and DeFi protocols. Holding the token does not guarantee yield or protect against losses.
What is the market cap of DFI.money?
As of Nov 7, 2026, DFI.money had a market cap of about $898K, ranking #3,151 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of YFII?
DFI.money's all-time high is $9,252, reached on Sep 1, 2020. Its all-time low is $20.92 (Oct 15, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of YFII?
As of Nov 7, 2026, about 39.73K YFII were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 40K.
Which blockchains is YFII on?
It has token contracts on Ethereum.
