## What is TrueFi?

TrueFi is a decentralized finance lending protocol associated with the TRU token. Its model centers on lending without conventional crypto collateral: borrowers may receive loans without first locking up assets worth more than the loan, as is common in collateralized lending protocols. That can make credit available to borrowers who cannot or do not want to provide collateral, but it also shifts more risk to lenders if a borrower fails to repay.

TrueFi has been described as aiming to build an automated, market-driven credit assessment and lending system. In practice, available details about current activity are limited, and the protocol is listed with very low total value locked. Treat descriptions of its intended model separately from evidence that lending markets are currently active or that loans are available. TRU is the protocol’s token; it is not itself a loan, a deposit, or a claim on repayment.

## What is TRU used for?

TRU is associated with participation in TrueFi’s lending governance. Project materials describe vaults managed by the TrueFi DAO, with borrowers and loans reviewed and approved by TRU stakers. This connects the token to decisions about credit risk and which lending activity a vault may support. The exact scope of current voting rights, staking arrangements, and any rewards should be checked against current protocol documentation; they should not be assumed from older descriptions of the project.

Public sources do not establish that TRU is required for every loan, used to pay transaction fees, or guaranteed to earn a yield. A separate description says borrowers may use TRU as collateral in some circumstances, but that does not establish a universal or currently available feature. Before relying on TRU for a particular use, check whether the relevant vault or governance process is active and what its current rules say. Token utility can change as a protocol evolves.

## Supply and market context

As of 2026-11-05, the reported circulating and total supply were each about 1.257 billion TRU. No maximum supply was reported, so these figures should not be read as evidence of a fixed cap. Supply can also change if tokens are issued, burned, locked, or otherwise reclassified; check current token information before making decisions based on a supply figure.

The same date’s reported market price was about $0.00079, with a market capitalization of about $994,000. These are time-sensitive estimates, not stable measures of value. A small market capitalization and low reported trading volume can make it harder to trade without affecting the price, while a quoted price may not reflect the amount available at that price. TRU has also experienced substantial historical price changes. Past prices do not indicate what it may be worth in the future, and these figures are not a recommendation to buy or sell.

## Networks and storage

TRU is listed as issued on Ethereum. The TrueFi protocol is also described as operating on Ethereum and Arbitrum, but that does not by itself confirm that every TRU token or transfer route is available on both networks. Before depositing or sending tokens, check the network and token contract supported by the specific wallet, exchange, or TrueFi feature you intend to use. Sending a token to an incompatible network or address can result in a loss that may be difficult or impossible to reverse.

For self-custody, use a wallet that supports the correct Ethereum token contract, keep recovery phrases and private keys offline and private, and verify transaction details before signing. Never share a recovery phrase with someone claiming to provide support. If using a custodial service, consider that the service controls the keys and may restrict access or withdrawals. These are general precautions; they do not establish that a particular wallet or service supports TRU.

## Risks to understand

Uncollateralized lending carries credit risk: if a borrower defaults, lenders may not have pledged assets to recover, and repayment can be delayed or incomplete. Credit reviews and governance approvals may help assess loans, but they cannot remove default risk. Smart-contract faults, operational problems, governance decisions, and changes to protocol activity can also affect funds or token utility. The protocol’s limited available details and very low listed TVL make it especially important to verify what is currently operating before interacting with it.

TRU holders also face market risk. Its price can fluctuate sharply, and low trading activity can make it difficult to sell at a desired price. Staking, if available, may add lock-up, contract, or governance risks and should not be treated as a guaranteed return. Only consider using funds you can afford to lose, and review current loan, vault, token, and custody terms independently. This is general information, not personalized financial advice.

By the numbers

TrueFi in numbers

TrueFi (TRU) is ranked #3,103 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $950K and a price of $0.0007558 as of Nov 7, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($950K) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

The price was down 1.4% over 7 days, down 17.9% over 30 days, down 95.3% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $1.02, set on Aug 12, 2021.

About 1.26B TRU are in circulation. No hard maximum supply is listed, so new tokens can still be issued.

24-hour trading volume was about $3.57K, or 0.4% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

TRU has token contracts on Ethereum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

TRU FAQs

What is TRU?

TRU is the token associated with the TrueFi lending protocol. Project materials connect it with governance and the review of lending vaults, though current features and participation rules should be checked before use.

How does TrueFi lending work?

TrueFi is described as offering lending without requiring borrowers to provide conventional crypto collateral. That can expose lenders to borrower default risk, and public sources indicate limited current activity.

Which blockchain is TRU on?

TRU is listed as issued on Ethereum. TrueFi is also described as operating on Arbitrum, but confirm the supported network and token contract before transferring TRU.

What is the supply of TRU?

As of 2026-11-05, reported circulating and total supply were each about 1.257 billion TRU. A maximum supply was not reported, and supply figures can change.

What are the risks of holding TRU?

The main risks include borrower defaults, smart-contract or governance problems, limited liquidity, and sharp token-price changes. Staking or governance participation, where available, does not guarantee rewards or protect against losses.

What is the market cap of TrueFi?

As of Nov 7, 2026, TrueFi had a market cap of about $950K, ranking #3,103 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.

What is the all-time high of TRU?

TrueFi's all-time high is $1.02, reached on Aug 12, 2021. Its all-time low is $0.0005303 (Jul 19, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.

What is the circulating supply of TRU?

As of Nov 7, 2026, about 1.26B TRU were in circulation; no fixed maximum supply is listed.

Which blockchains is TRU on?

It has token contracts on Ethereum.
