## What is USDM1?

USDM1 is a U.S.-dollar-denominated digital bond issued by the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI). The project describes each unit as a direct sovereign obligation, rather than a private company’s stablecoin, a central bank digital currency, a wrapped token or a synthetic dollar. It is designed to move and settle onchain, but its legal character is that of sovereign debt. The RMI operates on the U.S. dollar standard, and the instrument is issued under New York law with explicit waivers of sovereign immunity. Those terms are intended to support legal enforcement, but they do not remove the financial, legal or operational risks of holding a sovereign obligation. USDM1 may behave like a stablecoin in some transactions because it is dollar-denominated and issued at par. That does not mean its market price is guaranteed to stay at one dollar or that every holder can redeem directly with the issuer.

## How USDM1 may be used

USDM1 is intended for onchain transfer and settlement, and project descriptions present it as a tool for financial activity such as collateral, margin, netting and financing. Those uses may depend on acceptance by a particular platform or counterparty; owning the token does not mean it will be accepted everywhere as cash or collateral. Searchable project descriptions also refer to its use as a sovereign disbursement channel, including for the Marshall Islands’ ENRA program. The token is described as paying a sovereign coupon, but the rate, payment schedule, eligibility rules and other conditions should be confirmed in current official documentation. These potential functions do not change the underlying risks: USDM1 is a sovereign debt instrument, and its legal and operational terms matter. Before using it in a transaction, check whether the service supports the specific USDM1 version and network you hold, and whether you meet the service’s requirements.

## Supply, price and supported chains

USDM1 has been issued on Ethereum, Stellar and Solana; it is not listed as the native token of any of those chains. Make sure a wallet or service explicitly supports USDM1 on the network you intend to use. Token versions on separate networks should not be assumed interchangeable, and transfers sent through an unsupported network may be difficult or impossible to recover. As of 2026-11-04, reported circulating and total supply were both about 1.02 million USDM1, with no maximum supply specified. The reported price was about $1.02 and market capitalization about $1.0 million on that date. Reported 24-hour trading volume was about $10, suggesting very limited trading activity in that snapshot. These figures change and do not guarantee a stable market price or available liquidity. A small or inactive market can make it harder to sell at a quoted price.

## Risks and storage

Holding USDM1 involves more than ordinary wallet and blockchain risks. Its value and payment depend on the issuer’s obligations, the legal instrument, the Treasury collateral and its custody, as well as the systems used to issue and transfer the token. Legal rights may be difficult or costly to enforce, and the token’s market price can differ from its stated par value. Thin trading may limit your ability to sell when you want. Blockchain transactions can be irreversible, and sending assets to the wrong address or network can result in loss. For storage, use a wallet or custodian that explicitly supports USDM1 on the correct chain, protect recovery credentials, and verify the token and network details against official issuer information before transferring. Do not rely on a token name or ticker alone to identify an asset. Check current legal documents, custody and redemption terms, transfer rules and any platform-specific restrictions before holding or using USDM1.
