## What is Anchored Coins AEUR?
Anchored Coins AEUR (AEUR) is a euro-pegged stablecoin issued by Anchored Coins. The project describes each AEUR as backed one-to-one by reserves held exclusively with Swiss FINMA-licensed banks. That is the issuer’s stated reserve arrangement; it does not by itself establish that every token can be redeemed by every holder, or that reserve claims have been independently verified. Check current issuer information for details on reserve reporting and redemption terms.
AEUR is designed to track the euro, not the US dollar. Its dollar price therefore also reflects the EUR-to-USD exchange rate and can move against the dollar even if it remains close to one euro. At the time of public sources, dated 2026-07-31, AEUR was quoted at about $1.14. A market quote is not proof that the token is trading at its intended euro peg.
## How AEUR is used
AEUR’s stated purpose is to represent euro value on a blockchain. Holders may be able to transfer it between compatible wallets or use it in services that support AEUR, but availability depends on the platform and network. Do not assume that a particular exchange, payment service, or decentralized application accepts it. Check the token contract and the supported network before sending funds.
Anchored Coins says it takes a compliance-focused approach and is based in Switzerland. The issuer describes itself as a member of the Swiss self-regulatory organization Verein zur Qualitätssicherung von Finanzdienstleistungen (VQF). This membership is not the same thing as saying the issuer is a bank or that AEUR is a deposit protected by a government scheme. AEUR is not described as a native blockchain asset, so it should not be confused with the network tokens used to pay transaction fees.
## Chains and supply
Anchored Coins states that AEUR is issued natively on Ethereum and BNB Chain. These are separate networks: an AEUR balance on one chain is not automatically available on the other. When receiving or sending tokens, select the same network on both sides and confirm the contract address through a trusted, current source. Sending a token to an incompatible network or address can lead to loss of access.
The available supply figures in the market snapshot are inconsistent: the reported circulating amount is greater than the reported total amount. Because those values cannot both describe the same supply at once, they should not be treated as a reliable measure of AEUR’s outstanding tokens. The snapshot gives no maximum supply. For current issuance and circulation information, consult the issuer’s disclosures and the relevant blockchain records, while keeping in mind that on-chain balances alone do not establish the quality or availability of reserves.
## Risks and storage
AEUR carries the risks of both a stablecoin and a blockchain token. Its euro peg may weaken if market liquidity is limited, confidence falls, or the issuer cannot meet redemption obligations. The stated bank reserves and the issuer’s Swiss compliance approach do not remove issuer, banking, legal, operational, or custody risk. A token may also be affected by smart-contract vulnerabilities, network outages, or mistakes when sending it.
You can hold AEUR in a wallet that supports its Ethereum or BNB Chain version, or with a service that explicitly supports the token. Protect wallet recovery details, verify the network and token contract, and consider the consequences of self-custody versus relying on a third party. Before acquiring AEUR, check whether you are eligible to redeem it and what conditions, fees, or minimums apply; these details are not established by the token description here. No stablecoin is guaranteed to maintain its target value in every market or situation.
