What Tesla xStock is
Tesla xStock (TSLAX) is a tokenized version of Tesla, Inc. stock (NASDAQ: TSLA). It is part of the xStocks product line, which puts US-listed shares and ETFs on public blockchains as ordinary tokens. The project describes each xStock as backed 1:1 by the underlying asset, with a legal claim to the value of the stock, and says the line is built to comply with EU regulations and to be accessible to non-US users.
In practice, one TSLAX is meant to track the price of one Tesla share. It is not Tesla's own token, and Tesla the company is not described as issuing it. The CoinGecko-style categories attached to it include Tokenized Stocks, Tokenized Assets and Real World Assets, and it sits inside the BackedFi xStocks ecosystem. Holding TSLAX gives price exposure to Tesla stock through a crypto wallet, rather than a brokerage account.
The project's own description says the xStocks line covers 57 US stocks and ETFs. Tesla is one of them.
What the token is used for
The main use is price exposure to Tesla without opening a traditional brokerage account. Because TSLAX is a standard token, it can be moved between wallets, traded on centralized and decentralized exchanges, and in principle used in DeFi protocols the way other tokens are. The project highlights this composability and the access it gives people outside the US.
It does not behave like a native crypto asset. It has no governance function and no network fee role. Its value is tied to the Tesla share price, and the market hours of the underlying stock still matter, since the reference price only updates when US markets trade, even though the token can be transferred around the clock.
the public information available here do not say how dividends, voting rights or corporate actions are handled for token holders. Tesla has not typically paid a dividend, but anyone considering the token should read the issuer's terms to see what rights the token does and does not carry.
Supply and tokenomics
TSLAX has no fixed maximum supply, and the supply changes as tokens are created and redeemed against the underlying shares. As of 2026-11-05, about 182,093 tokens were counted as circulating and about 578,639 as total supply, which is why the fully diluted valuation (about $218.3M) is much higher than the market cap (about $68.7M). That gap reflects how supply is counted rather than a typical token emission schedule.
There is no inflation schedule, halving or team allocation in the usual crypto sense. Supply is meant to follow demand: in the issuer's model, new tokens correspond to shares held in backing, and redemptions reduce supply. The data does not specify the custody arrangement or reserve attestation process, so readers should check the issuer's documentation for that.
As of 2026-11-05, the price was about $377, with a market cap rank near 353 and 24-hour volume of roughly $11.2M. These figures move constantly.
Chains and how it is held and traded
TSLAX is issued on several blockchains: Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Mantle and TON. It is not the native token of any chain. The same product is represented as separate token contracts on each network, so a TSLAX on Solana is not directly interchangeable with one on Ethereum unless a supported bridge or redemption route exists.
People generally hold it in a self-custody wallet that supports the relevant chain, or leave it on an exchange that lists it. Trading happens on centralized exchanges and on decentralized exchanges where liquidity pools exist. Liquidity can differ widely by chain and venue, so spreads and price gaps against the Tesla share price may appear, particularly when US markets are closed.
Availability also depends on where you live. The project says the tokens are aimed at non-US users, so access may be restricted in some jurisdictions, and exchanges may apply identity checks. Follow those rules rather than trying to work around them.
History and price context
the public information available do not give an exact launch date for TSLAX. The price history on record shows an all-time low of about $292.26 on 2025-07-07, which suggests the token was already trading by mid-2025. It reached an all-time high of about $496.55 on 2025-12-22.
As of 2026-11-05, the price of about $377.35 was roughly 24% below that peak. Over the previous seven days it had fallen about 6.2%, and over the previous year it was down about 15.3%. These moves mirror Tesla stock volatility, plus any premium or discount that comes from trading on crypto venues.
This is a description of past data, not a forecast. Tesla shares are known for large swings, and a tokenized version inherits them.
Risks to understand
Underlying stock risk. TSLAX can fall sharply if Tesla shares fall. Past performance says nothing about future results.
Issuer and custody risk. The 1:1 backing depends on the issuer and its custodians holding the shares and honoring redemptions. If that fails, the token may not match the stock. Check the issuer's disclosures.
Liquidity and price gaps. Thin markets can cause wide spreads. When US markets are closed, on-chain prices may drift from the last stock price.
Regulatory risk. Tokenized securities sit in a changing legal area. Access rules vary by country and can change, and the token is aimed at non-US users.
Smart contract and bridge risk. Multiple chains mean multiple contracts, each with its own technical risk.
Rights. Confirm what a token holder is entitled to compared with a direct shareholder.

How to store it safely
Use a wallet that supports the chain where your TSLAX sits, such as a Solana wallet or an Ethereum-compatible wallet. A hardware wallet adds protection for larger amounts, and the seed phrase should be written down offline and never shared or typed into a website.
Before sending, confirm the token contract address from the issuer's official materials, because copycat tokens with the same name can exist. Send a small test transfer first, and make sure the receiving address is on the same network as the token. Sending to the wrong chain can lose the funds.
Keep in mind that some tokenized stock issuers can restrict transfers or freeze addresses for compliance reasons, so self-custody may not offer the same freedom as holding a plain crypto asset. Read the terms. Keeping records of purchases is also sensible, since tax treatment of tokenized stocks varies by country.

TSLAX FAQs
Is TSLAX the same as owning Tesla stock?
No. It is a tokenized product that tracks Tesla's share price and is described as backed 1:1 by the underlying shares. It is issued under the xStocks line, not by Tesla, and what rights it gives you may differ from owning the stock directly.
Which blockchains does TSLAX run on?
It is issued on Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Mantle and TON. Each chain has its own token contract, so check that you are using the right network and the official contract address.
Does TSLAX trade 24 hours a day?
The token can be transferred and traded at any time, but the reference Tesla stock price only updates when US markets are open. Outside those hours, the token price can drift from the last stock price depending on crypto market demand.
What is the supply of TSLAX?
