## What is Lava Network?
Lava Network is infrastructure for blockchain data access. Its protocol coordinates requests from apps, wallets and AI agents that need to read blockchain data or submit transactions. These requests often use Remote Procedure Call (RPC) services, which connect an application to a blockchain node. Lava’s stated aim is to route requests to providers based on service speed and reliability, helping applications maintain access when individual providers are unavailable or perform poorly.
Lava is not itself a consumer dApp or a blockchain wallet. It sits between applications and the infrastructure they use to communicate with blockchains. The project describes activity from networks and applications including NEAR, Starknet, Filecoin and Axelar. That describes the protocol’s service relationships, not necessarily which chains issue LAVA or where a particular token can be used. Lava’s goal of uninterrupted access is an ambition, not a guarantee: service quality depends on the providers and systems participating in the network.
## How the protocol works
When a wallet or application needs blockchain information, it sends an RPC request. Lava’s protocol aggregates data providers and directs that request according to provider performance, with the aim of returning a useful response reliably. Applications can use this kind of access to check an address or prepare a transaction; the protocol coordinates the data connection rather than replacing the app or the blockchain itself.
The network is designed to serve activity across multiple blockchains, including requests from AI agents as well as conventional apps and wallets. The project describes chains and apps as paying LAVA stakers and providers for reliable service. This points to an economic role for the token around service provision, but it does not by itself establish that every request is paid in LAVA or that every provider earns the same amount. Actual availability and performance depend on participating providers, demand, and the supported chain integrations.
## What is LAVA used for?
LAVA is the token associated with the Lava Network. Public descriptions identify provider rewards and staking-related activity as uses: providers can be rewarded for supplying infrastructure, and the project says participating chains and apps pay LAVA stakers and providers. These functions connect the token to the network’s service and incentive model rather than to a consumer payment or gaming use case.
Public sources do not specify a complete set of token functions, exact staking terms, reward rates, lockups, or governance rights. Do not assume that holding LAVA automatically earns rewards or grants a vote. Before staking, check the current Lava documentation for eligibility, supported providers, fees, withdrawal conditions and the risks of delegation. Token availability is reported on Arbitrum, Base and Osmosis. That does not mean LAVA is the native gas token of those chains; public sources do not identify it as native to any chain.
## Supply and market snapshot
LAVA has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens. As of 2026-11-05, about 767.0 million were circulating, out of a reported total supply of about 955.9 million. The difference between circulating supply and the maximum reflects tokens that were not counted as circulating at that time; it is not a schedule for when they will enter circulation. Supply figures can change, so check current token information before relying on them.
As of 2026-11-05, LAVA’s price was about $0.0149, with a market capitalization of about $11.4 million and a fully diluted valuation of about $14.3 million. Its reported all-time high was about $0.248 on 2025-12-07, and its all-time low was about $0.0010 on 2024-07-30. These are historical figures, not forecasts or guarantees of future performance. Market capitalization and fully diluted valuation are estimates based on token price and supply measures; both can move as prices and circulating supply change.
## Risks and storing LAVA
LAVA carries the risks common to crypto assets, including sharp price changes, limited liquidity, changes in demand and uncertainty about whether the network can attract enough applications and infrastructure providers. A token’s market value does not guarantee that the protocol will meet its reliability goals or that staking will produce rewards. Staking or delegating may add risks such as lockup periods, provider performance issues or changes to reward terms; review the current rules before committing tokens.
LAVA is reported as issued on Arbitrum, Base and Osmosis. When sending or receiving it, confirm the exact network and token details with the service or wallet you are using. Sending tokens to an incompatible network or address can result in permanent loss. For self-custody, use a wallet that supports the relevant network, keep recovery phrases and private keys secret, and beware of impersonation attempts. Never share a recovery phrase with a website or support representative. These precautions reduce operational mistakes but cannot remove investment or network risk.
By the numbers
Lava Network in numbers
Lava Network (LAVA) is ranked #1,266 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $9.49M and a price of $0.0150 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $14.3M, so roughly 66% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was up 9.5% over 7 days, up 18.9% over 30 days, down 82.3% over the past year. It trades about 94% below its all-time high of $0.2482, set on Dec 7, 2025.
About 633.53M LAVA are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (63% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $535K, or 5.6% of its market cap: moderate turnover.
LAVA has token contracts on 3 chains we track, including Arbitrum, Base, Osmosis. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

LAVA FAQs
What is LAVA used for?
LAVA is associated with rewards for infrastructure providers and staking-related activity. The project says chains and apps pay LAVA stakers and providers, but exact participation rules and rewards can change.
What does Lava Network do?
Lava Network coordinates RPC requests between applications and blockchain data providers. It aims to route requests based on provider speed and reliability, but this does not guarantee uninterrupted service.
Which networks support LAVA?
LAVA is reported as issued on Arbitrum, Base and Osmosis. Confirm the correct network and token details with your wallet or exchange before transferring, since sending on an unsupported network can lead to loss.
What is the maximum supply of LAVA?
The maximum supply is 1 billion LAVA. About 767.0 million were circulating as of 2026-11-05; supply figures can change over time.
Can you stake LAVA?
Staking-related activity is described as part of the Lava ecosystem, but eligibility, lockups and rewards depend on current network rules. Review the terms and risks before committing tokens; holding LAVA alone does not establish that you will earn rewards.
What is the market cap of Lava Network?
As of Nov 6, 2026, Lava Network had a market cap of about $9.49M, ranking #1,266 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of LAVA?
Lava Network's all-time high is $0.2482, reached on Dec 7, 2025. Its all-time low is $0.001001 (Jul 30, 2024). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
