## What Is Hyperion (RION)?
Hyperion is an on-chain decentralized exchange (DEX) built on Aptos. Its trading system combines an orderbook with automated market maker (AMM) liquidity pools, and the project describes itself as a broader trading layer that also brings together swap aggregation, market-making and vault strategies. These are features of the Hyperion platform; RION is its associated token, not the exchange itself.
Hyperion’s stated aim is to serve both professional and retail traders on Aptos. That aim does not guarantee trading volume, available liquidity or successful execution. The project announced pre-seed funding from Ankaa Labs and BlockBooster in December 2024, but funding is not evidence of future performance. RION is categorized as a DEX and exchange token, but those labels alone do not explain what holders can do with it. Treat the token’s specific rights and uses as separate questions from how Hyperion’s trading products work.
## What Is RION Used For?
The information available here does not establish a complete, current list of RION’s functions or holder rights. Some public token updates describe staking RION to receive xRION and refer to rewards connected with protocol growth. Those statements do not by themselves confirm that staking is currently available, how its terms work, or whether any returns are guaranteed. Check Hyperion’s own current documentation and the details shown in the relevant app before relying on a stated feature.
Do not assume RION is required to trade on Hyperion, gives holders governance rights, or entitles them to a share of protocol revenue unless current official documentation clearly says so. A token’s label as an exchange or DEX token does not establish these benefits. If staking or another token feature is offered, it can introduce additional risks, including lock-up conditions, changing rewards, smart-contract vulnerabilities and difficulty withdrawing assets. These risks are distinct from the risks of using the DEX itself.
## RION Supply and Market Context
RION has a maximum and total supply of 100 million tokens. About 43.8 million were reported as circulating as of 2026-11-05; circulating supply can change, and token figures may be revised. The difference between circulating supply and the maximum supply matters when assessing dilution: tokens not currently circulating may enter circulation later, depending on the project’s release arrangements. The figures alone do not show when or how that could happen.
As of 2026-11-05, RION traded at about $0.048, with a market capitalization of about $2.1 million and a fully diluted valuation of about $4.8 million. These are snapshots, not stable measures of value. The reported all-time high was $1.17 on 2025-07-16, while the reported low was about $0.047 on 2026-11-04. Past prices do not predict future prices, and a small market capitalization can coincide with sharp price moves or limited liquidity.
## Chains, Wallets, and Transfers
RION is reported as issued on both Aptos and BNB Chain; it is not listed as the native token of either chain. That distinction matters when transferring or using it: a token with the same name and symbol on different networks may be represented by different contracts or token records. Make sure the network and asset match the destination wallet or application before sending funds. A transfer on the wrong network may be difficult or impossible to recover.
For storage, use a wallet that explicitly supports the relevant network and token standard. Confirm the token details through Hyperion’s official channels rather than relying on a name or symbol alone, and be cautious with unsolicited messages, fake support accounts and unexpected signing requests. If using a bridge to move assets between networks, account for bridge-specific risks, including contract failures and delays. Do not share a recovery phrase or private key with anyone. Keeping RION in a wallet does not remove the risks of the token, its contracts or the surrounding networks.
## Risks to Consider
RION can be affected by the risks of a young or small crypto asset: trading may be thin, prices can move sharply, and selling may be difficult at the price you expect. The token’s value may also depend on whether Hyperion attracts users and maintains its products, but that is uncertain. Technical failures, exploits, changes to token arrangements, or broader market conditions could affect the project and the token. Neither past funding nor a stated product ambition removes these risks.
Before interacting with Hyperion, understand which network you are using, what a trade or vault strategy does, and what permissions a transaction requests. Smart contracts can fail or be exploited, and on-chain transactions are generally difficult to reverse. RION is not a bank deposit, and protections available for traditional financial products may not apply. Only risk money you can afford to lose, and do not treat price history or token descriptions as a forecast or a recommendation to buy or sell.
