## What is Decentralized Euro (DEURO)?

Decentralized Euro (dEURO), ticker DEURO, is a stablecoin designed to track the value of the euro. Unlike a token issued against euro deposits by a central company, the project describes dEURO as decentralized and backed by crypto collateral. It runs through smart contracts and is intended to let people hold and transfer euro-denominated value on blockchain networks. dEURO is not the same as a central bank digital currency, and its euro reference does not guarantee that it can always be exchanged for one euro. On 2026-08-03, its reported price was about $1.15, a US-dollar figure that can move with both the euro’s exchange rate and any deviation from the intended peg.

## How dEURO works and what it is used for

The protocol uses collateralized debt positions, or CDPs: users deposit eligible crypto assets into smart contracts and can borrow dEURO against that collateral. The system is described as overcollateralized, meaning the collateral value is intended to exceed the amount of dEURO issued. If collateral falls in value or a position no longer meets protocol requirements, liquidation may be used to reduce risk to the system. The project also describes lending, savings and protocol-share modules. These can provide different ways to use or interact with dEURO, but they do not remove the risks of smart-contract activity or guarantee returns. The protocol describes its design as oracle-free; that is a feature of its mechanism, not proof that its pricing, collateral or liquidation processes cannot fail.

## Supply and supported networks

DEURO is issued on Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon, Base and Arbitrum; it is not listed here as the native token of any one chain. Availability across networks can make it usable in different on-chain applications, but tokens on separate chains may rely on different contracts or transfer mechanisms. Check the official contract address for the specific network before sending or receiving funds. The reported supply figures need caution: the circulating amount is about 1.46 million DEURO, while the reported total supply is about 1.16 million, an apparent inconsistency. No maximum supply is reported, so those figures should not be treated as a reliable, reconciled supply breakdown. As with other stablecoins, supply can change as users mint or repay tokens through the protocol.

## Risks and storage

DEURO has risks beyond ordinary price fluctuation. Its market value can move away from one euro if demand, liquidity or confidence changes. Collateral may lose value quickly, and liquidations can leave users with losses; smart-contract bugs, exploits, governance decisions or problems in a chain or bridge can also affect access and funds. A decentralized design does not mean the token is risk-free, backed by a bank, or guaranteed to be redeemable for euros. For storage, use a wallet that supports the relevant network and protect its recovery phrase offline. Confirm the chain and token contract before making a transfer, and consider a small test transfer when appropriate. Never share your recovery phrase or approve transactions you do not understand.

By the numbers

Decentralized Euro in numbers

Decentralized Euro (DEURO) is ranked #2,539 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $1.68M and a price of $1.15 as of Aug 3, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($1.68M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

The price was up 1.2% over 7 days, up 0.6% over 30 days. It trades about 50% below its all-time high of $2.30, set on Jul 28, 2025.

About 1.46M DEURO are in circulation. No hard maximum supply is listed, so new tokens can still be issued.

DEURO has token contracts on 5 chains we track, including Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon, Base. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

DEURO is linked to Decentralized Euro, which we cover in our CDPs rankings. See our Decentralized Euro page for how the protocol works and how we score it.

DEURO FAQs

Is DEURO always worth one euro?

DEURO is designed to track the euro, not the US dollar. Its market price can still depart from one euro, and a quoted US-dollar price also changes with the euro-dollar exchange rate.

What backs DEURO?

The protocol describes dEURO as overcollateralized and minted against crypto collateral through CDPs. That mechanism is intended to support the stablecoin, but collateral volatility, liquidations and contract failures remain possible.

Which networks support DEURO?

DEURO is issued on Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon, Base and Arbitrum. Check that your wallet and the receiving application support the same network and verify the token contract before transferring.

What is the DEURO supply?

The reported circulating supply is about 1.46 million, while the reported total supply is about 1.16 million, so the figures do not reconcile. No maximum supply is reported; treat the supply information cautiously.

How can I store DEURO safely?

Use a wallet that supports the network where your DEURO is held, and keep your recovery phrase private and securely backed up. Verify the chain and contract before sending tokens, since transfers to the wrong network or address may be difficult or impossible to recover.

What is the market cap of Decentralized Euro?

As of Aug 3, 2026, Decentralized Euro had a market cap of about $1.68M, ranking #2,539 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.

What is the all-time high of DEURO?

Decentralized Euro's all-time high is $2.30, reached on Jul 28, 2025. Its all-time low is $0.7525 (Jan 19, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.

What is the circulating supply of DEURO?

As of Aug 3, 2026, about 1.46M DEURO were in circulation; no fixed maximum supply is listed.

Which blockchains is DEURO on?

It has token contracts on Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum.
