What Clearpool and CPOOL are
Clearpool is a DeFi protocol that describes itself as a decentralized capital markets ecosystem. Its main idea is to let institutional borrowers, such as trading firms and other businesses, take out unsecured loans directly from on-chain liquidity providers. Most DeFi lending requires borrowers to post more collateral than they borrow. Clearpool instead relies on the borrower's reputation and on a vetting process, so the loans are not backed by locked crypto.
Each borrower gets its own lending pool. Interest rates in these pools are set dynamically, rising and falling with supply and demand, rather than being fixed by the borrower or the protocol. Liquidity providers deposit stablecoins and receive pool tokens, which the project calls cpTokens, that represent their share of the pool and the interest it earns.
CPOOL is the protocol's own token. The project calls it both a utility token and a governance token. It is separate from the stablecoins that flow through the pools. Holding CPOOL does not give a claim on any loan or pool, and the project's own description frames it as a tool for access, incentives and voting. Clearpool is also tagged as a real-world asset (RWA) project, because the borrowers it serves are businesses in traditional finance and crypto trading.
What CPOOL is used for
According to the project's description, CPOOL has three main roles. The first is staking by borrowers. A borrower that wants to open a pool must stake an amount of CPOOL to reach the part of the protocol where it can submit a proposal to be whitelisted. This puts a cost on applying and ties borrowers to the token.
The second role is incentives. Liquidity providers earn extra CPOOL on top of the interest from the pool they lend into. The project says these rewards are meant to lift pool yields to attractive levels. Because the reward is paid in CPOOL, a provider's total return depends partly on the token's market price.
The third role is governance. CPOOL holders are meant to vote on which new borrowers are whitelisted. The project also says a fuller decentralized governance system would eventually let holders propose, vote on and implement protocol changes and upgrades.
The description also mentions a planned buyback program, in which a share of protocol revenue would be used to buy CPOOL on the open market to sustain reward pools. The data we have does not confirm the size, timing or current status of any buyback, so treat it as a stated intention rather than an established feature.
Supply and tokenomics
The supply figures we have show 1 billion CPOOL as the circulating, total and maximum supply, so the supply is capped and, on these numbers, fully in circulation. As of 2026-11-05, that put the market capitalization at about $27.3 million, with a fully diluted valuation at the same level. The token ranked around 695th by market cap at that time.
The data does not give the original allocation split between team, investors, community and rewards, and we will not guess at it. One public tokenomics summary says Clearpool uses linear vesting, especially for its rewards allocations. Linear vesting releases tokens in equal amounts over time, which spreads out new supply instead of releasing it in one large batch.
A fixed maximum supply does not remove dilution risk in the earlier years, and it says nothing about demand. The token's value depends on whether borrowers keep staking, whether providers want the reward, and whether governance matters to holders. Check the project's official documentation for the current allocation and unlock schedule before relying on any supply figure, because circulating numbers on data sites can lag behind actual releases.
Chains and how it is held and traded
CPOOL is issued on Ethereum and on Solana. It is not the native token of any blockchain, so it does not pay network fees or secure a chain. On either network you move it with an ordinary wallet and pay fees in that network's own coin, ETH on Ethereum and SOL on Solana.
The token trades on centralized exchanges and on decentralized exchanges. One market data summary listed more than a hundred active markets, although the figure changes. Trading volume over 24 hours was about $1.3 million as of 2026-11-05, which is modest compared with its market cap and means large orders can move the price.
If you hold CPOOL on one chain, it is a different token contract from the one on the other chain. Sending Ethereum-based CPOOL to a Solana address, or the reverse, will not work and can lose funds. Always check which network an exchange or wallet is asking for before you deposit or withdraw.
The Clearpool ecosystem has also grown beyond its original pools. Our site covers Clearpool TPOOL, a USDX treasury-yield pool on Ethereum and Flare from Clearpool Vaults, aimed at DeFi users who want real-world asset yield. It is a separate product and does not require holding CPOOL.
History and notable events
CPOOL has been trading since at least 2021. Its all-time high was about $2.55 on 2021-11-16, close to the peak of that market cycle. Its all-time low was about $0.016 on 2026-08-19, so the token has spent much of the period since the peak in a long decline. As of 2026-11-05 the price was about $0.027, roughly 99 percent below that high. Over the previous seven days it had fallen about 10.6 percent, and over the previous year about 53.9 percent.
One notable event was an Upbit listing in October 2025. Coverage at the time reported a price jump of around 60 percent after the listing. Listings on large exchanges can bring a burst of attention and volume, but such moves often fade, and this one did not prevent the later lows.
The token's data tags also link it to a venture-backed portfolio and to launchpad and exchange promotional programs. These tags describe how the token was distributed and promoted, not how the protocol performs. We do not have an exact launch date for the token, so we do not state one here.
Risks
The main protocol risk is credit risk. Loans in Clearpool pools are unsecured, so if a borrower defaults, there is no locked collateral to cover the loss. Liquidity providers rely on the borrower vetting process and the borrower's ability to repay. CPOOL holders do not directly bear loan losses, but a default can damage confidence in the protocol and the token.
Smart contract risk applies as it does for any DeFi protocol. Bugs or exploits in the pool contracts, bridges or integrations could cause losses. Regulatory risk is also relevant, because lending to institutions and tokenized credit touch rules that differ between countries and may change.
There are market risks specific to the token. It is small, with a market cap around $27 million, and daily volume of about $1.3 million as of 2026-11-05. Thin liquidity means wide price swings and difficulty exiting a large position. The price has fallen sharply over the last year, and a rise in the past does not predict a recovery.
Finally, some of the token's utility is aspirational. Governance, the buyback and the fuller decentralized system are described as plans. Promotional articles about whales or undervalued coins should be treated with caution. This page is not investment advice.
How to store CPOOL safely
Because CPOOL is a standard token on Ethereum and Solana, you can hold it in a self-custody wallet that supports the chain you use. A hardware wallet is the usual choice for larger amounts, since the private keys stay on the device and signing requires a physical confirmation. Write down your recovery phrase on paper or metal, keep it offline, and never type it into a website, chat or app that asks for it.
Leaving tokens on an exchange is convenient for trading, but the exchange controls the keys. If you use one, enable two-factor authentication and withdraw what you do not plan to trade.
Before sending any amount, copy the contract address from the project's official documentation and confirm it matches the token your wallet shows, because look-alike tokens are common. Do a small test transfer first, and double-check the network.
If you take part in Clearpool pools or governance, you will sign transactions that give a contract permission to move your tokens. Approve only what is needed, and review and revoke old permissions from time to time. Be suspicious of unsolicited messages offering rewards, airdrops or support.

CPOOL FAQs
What is CPOOL used for?
CPOOL is the utility and governance token of Clearpool, a DeFi protocol for unsecured institutional lending. Borrowers stake it to apply for a pool, liquidity providers earn it as extra rewards, and holders are meant to vote on borrower whitelisting and protocol changes.
What is the total supply of CPOOL?
The supply data shows a maximum, total and circulating supply of 1 billion CPOOL. As of 2026-11-05 the market cap was about $27.3 million. Check the project's documentation for the vesting and unlock schedule.
Which blockchains is CPOOL on?
CPOOL is issued on Ethereum and Solana. It is not the native coin of either chain, so you pay network fees in ETH or SOL. The two versions are separate token contracts, so always send to the matching network.
How far is CPOOL from its all-time high?
The all-time high was about $2.55 on 2021-11-16 and the all-time low was about $0.016 on 2026-08-19. As of 2026-11-05 the price was about $0.027, down roughly 54 percent over the previous year. This is not a forecast.
Is Clearpool risky?
Clearpool pools are unsecured, so a borrower default can cause losses to lenders without collateral to cover them. Other risks are smart contract bugs, regulation, and the thin trading volume of a small-cap token. Some features, such as full governance and buybacks, are described as plans.
Is CPOOL the same as Clearpool TPOOL?
No. CPOOL is the protocol's own token. TPOOL is a separate USDX treasury-yield pool from Clearpool Vaults on Ethereum and Flare. It is a different product that does not require holding CPOOL.
What is the market cap of Clearpool?
As of Nov 6, 2026, Clearpool had a market cap of about $26.8M, ranking #693 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
