ZO Perps Review 2026: Oracle-Priced Perps on Sui

ZO Perps is a perpetual futures DEX on Sui that prices trades from oracles and adds AI trading agents. It is a niche, small-liquidity venue, and leveraged trading on it carries high risk.

Our verdict on ZO Perps

6.5/10

ZO Perps suits experienced DeFi traders on Sui who want oracle-priced perpetuals with fast confirmation and optional AI agents, and developers who want to build on its SDK. The main strength is the design: no slippage curve, quick finality and a broad set of markets. The main caveat is scale and transparency. Tracked TVL is small, the homepage figures conflict with it, fees are not on the front page, and 75x leverage is dangerous. Start small and read the documentation first.

What is ZO Perps?

ZO Perps is a decentralized perpetuals exchange on the Sui blockchain, built by the team behind ZO and operated under Tsuki Inc. according to the site footer. It offers crypto, commodity and index perpetuals with up to 75x leverage, and it pitches itself as an intelligent protocol with AI-driven trading agents.

Its main design choice is oracle pricing. Trades execute at feeds from providers such as Pyth, with no AMM curve, which the project says means zero slippage and no MEV. Sui's roughly 300ms finality is cited as the reason execution feels close to a centralized exchange.

DefiLlama has tracked ZO since April 2025 in its derivatives category and shows about $71,000 in TVL, down about 5% over the week. The homepage claims $6.7 million TVL and $2.5 billion in cumulative volume, which differ greatly from the tracked figure. A social post from the project also reports about $18.85 million traded in one week.

How ZO Perps works

ZO is a perpetual futures exchange. A perpetual is a derivative that tracks an asset's price with no expiry, letting traders go long or short with leverage. Positions are opened with collateral and can be liquidated if losses approach that collateral.

Instead of an order book or AMM curve, ZO fills trades at prices from decentralized oracles such as Pyth. Because of this, the project says there is no price impact and little room for front-running. The other side of each trade is taken by a shared liquidity pool.

Liquidity providers deposit stablecoins and other supported assets and receive ZLP. They earn a share of trading fees and agent usage revenue, and their return depends on volume and trader outcomes. On top of this sit ZO Agents, which automate trade ideas and monitor positions, and an SDK for developers building their own agents.

8 features

Key features

01

Fast Sui execution

Trades settle on Sui with about 300ms finality, which the project says gives near-instant execution fully on-chain.

02

Oracle-based pricing

Every trade fills at the oracle price, using feeds such as Pyth, rather than through an AMM curve. The project says this removes slippage and sandwich attacks.

03

Multi-asset perpetuals

Crypto, commodity and index perpetuals are offered with up to 75x leverage.

04

Smart ZO Agents

Programmable agents analyze markets, suggest entries and exits, and can monitor positions during volatility to help avoid liquidations.

05

ZO SDK

A TypeScript and Python SDK lets developers build their own trading agents, analytics tools and liquidation systems.

06

ZLP liquidity pool

Users deposit stablecoins and other assets to mint ZLP and earn a share of trading fees and agent revenue.

07

Mobile and chat access

The project says trading is reachable through mobile wallets and chat apps, as well as the web app.

08

Points program

A points program rewards traders, liquidity providers, liquidators and other contributors.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Oracle-based fills mean no AMM price impact and no sandwich attacks, according to the project.
  • About 300ms finality on Sui gives fast confirmation.
  • Offers crypto, commodity and index markets in one venue.
  • AI agents and an SDK let users and developers automate strategies.
  • Liquidity providers can earn a share of fees through ZLP.
  • DefiLlama lists two audits for the protocol.

Watch out for

  • TVL is small at about $71,000 on DefiLlama, so liquidity depth for large positions is unproven.
  • The homepage cites $6.7 million TVL, a very different figure from the tracked number, so readers should check live data themselves.
  • Up to 75x leverage carries a high risk of fast liquidation, even with automated agents.
  • Oracle-priced trades with no slippage depend on the oracle feed working correctly and on the liquidity pool being able to take the other side of trades.
  • Team details, fee schedule and audit reports are not described on the homepage, so users must check the documentation.
  • LPs in the ZLP pool bear counterparty risk against traders, so their returns can fall as well as rise.

ZO Perps fees

The homepage does not publish a trading fee table, funding rates or liquidation penalties. Users would find these in the documentation or in the trading interface before opening a position.

Liquidity providers earn a share of trading fees and agent usage revenue through ZLP, so fee income is what funds their yield. Because pricing is oracle-based, there is no AMM price impact, but fees and funding still apply.

Is ZO Perps safe?

DefiLlama lists two audits for ZO, but the homepage does not name the auditors or link reports, so scope and findings should be checked in the documentation. The platform is non-custodial in the usual DEX sense, with users connecting their own wallet, though positions and the ZLP pool are held in smart contracts that carry bug risk.

Oracle dependence is a core risk: a faulty or delayed price feed could cause bad fills or liquidations. The small tracked TVL also means a thin buffer if the pool takes losses. Public sources mention no incidents, and no licence or regulatory status is published. Derivatives trading may be restricted in some jurisdictions, and leveraged trading can lose your whole deposit.

6 steps

How to get started with ZO Perps

  1. 1

Read the documentation and terms of service, and confirm that perpetual trading is allowed where you live.

  2. 2

Set up a Sui-compatible wallet, such as a mobile wallet.

  3. 3

Fund it with SUI for gas and with the collateral asset ZO supports.

  4. 4

Open the ZO app from the official site and connect your wallet.

  5. 5

Start with a small position and low leverage to learn the margin and liquidation rules.

  6. 6

Optionally, deposit assets to mint ZLP if you want to supply liquidity instead of trading.

Who ZO Perps is for

ZO Perps is for active derivatives traders already using Sui wallets, for liquidity providers comfortable with taking the other side of trader positions, and for developers interested in building automated trading agents with the SDK. It is not suited to beginners or to anyone who cannot afford to lose their deposit.

ZO Perps FAQs

What is ZO Perps?

ZO Perps is a decentralized perpetual futures exchange built on the Sui blockchain. It lets users trade crypto, commodity and index perpetuals with leverage, using oracle prices instead of an AMM curve.

How much leverage does ZO offer?

The homepage says up to 75x leverage on crypto, commodity and index markets. Leverage amplifies losses as well as gains, and high settings can lead to liquidation on small price moves.

Does ZO really have zero slippage?

The project says trades execute at oracle prices from sources such as Pyth, so there is no AMM price impact and no sandwich attacks. That does not remove other costs, such as trading fees or funding, and the exact schedule is in the documentation.

What is ZLP?

ZLP is the liquidity pool token. Users mint it by depositing stablecoins and other supported assets, and holders receive a share of trading fees and agent usage revenue. Returns depend on trading volume and on how traders perform against the pool.

Has ZO been audited?

DefiLlama lists two audits for ZO. The homepage does not link audit reports, so check the documentation for the auditors and scope before depositing funds.

Does ZO have a token?

DefiLlama lists no token for ZO. The project runs a points program that rewards traders, liquidity providers and liquidators, but the project does not say whether points convert to anything.
