ActiveTokenLabs Review 2026: IOTA Validator and vIOTA Liquid Staking
TokenLabs is an IOTA Rebased validator that also runs liquid staking through vIOTA, with rewards paid in IOTA plus its own TLN token. It suits IOTA holders who want a non-custodial option, but the protocol is small and new.

Good
Our verdict on TokenLabs
6.8/10TokenLabs suits IOTA holders who want to stake with a validator that offers both native staking and a liquid vIOTA option, with audits listed and a low 1 IOTA entry. Its main strength is that it is non-custodial and simple to start. The main caveat is size and age: tracked TVL is around $150,000, the protocol is new, fees are not published, and part of the reward is paid in TLN, which carries its own price risk.

What is TokenLabs?
TokenLabs is an IOTA Rebased validator and staking platform. Users can stake IOTA natively or through a liquid staking route that issues vIOTA, a token usable across the IOTA DeFi ecosystem. Rewards are paid in IOTA and in TLN, the project's token.
The homepage reports uptime above 99.9%, more than 50M IOTA staked and 1,374 active stakers. It lists an IOTA Grants Program grant and three audits. By contrast, the tracked TVL for the liquid staking protocol is about $150,000, so the large staked figure presumably refers to the validator overall rather than the vIOTA product. The page does not explain the difference.
The protocol appeared in tracked DeFi listings in February 2026, so it is new. Other projects with similar names exist, including an AI studio, so check that you are on the right site before connecting a wallet.
How TokenLabs works
IOTA Rebased is a proof-of-stake network, so holders can delegate IOTA to validators that help secure it. In return they receive a share of staking rewards. TokenLabs is one of those validators and runs a production node on the IOTA mainnet.
With native staking, you delegate IOTA directly to the TokenLabs validator and your stake stays tied to that position. With liquid staking, you deposit IOTA and receive vIOTA, a token that represents the staked IOTA and the rewards it earns. You can hold vIOTA or use it in other IOTA DeFi apps while the underlying IOTA stays staked.
The homepage says rewards arrive every epoch and are paid in IOTA plus TLN, the project's own token. A social post cited in public reporting also describes auto-staking that now prioritises smaller stakes, but the homepage does not give details of that logic.
7 features
Key features
01
Native IOTA staking
Stake IOTA with the TokenLabs validator directly. Funds stay in your own wallet and rewards arrive each epoch.
02
Liquid staking with vIOTA
Stake IOTA and receive vIOTA, a token that keeps earning rewards while you use it across IOTA DeFi.
03
TLN rewards and farming
Besides IOTA staking rewards, stakers earn TLN, the project's own token, and the site also promotes TLN farming.
04
Three validator nodes
TokenLabs runs three nodes: a mainnet validator, a testnet staging validator and a node on the IOTA Distributed Oracle.
05
Published audit reports
The homepage lists audits by MoveBit, AuditOne and SolidProof, with reports linked from a security page.
06
Low entry amount
Staking starts from 1 IOTA, with a wallet connection and no sign-up, which suits small holders.
07
Extra platform tools
The site links to swap, forge, analytics and an academy, so staking sits next to other TLN-related tools.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Non-custodial design: the homepage says funds stay in your wallet and can be withdrawn at any time.
- Offers both native staking and liquid staking through vIOTA.
- Three audits are listed, including a February 2026 review by MoveBit, with public reports.
- Staking starts from 1 IOTA, so small holders can participate.
- Runs a production validator and a testnet staging validator, and takes part in the IOTA Distributed Oracle.
- Rewards in IOTA plus TLN add extra yield on top of base staking.
Watch out for
- Tracked TVL is small, around $150,000, and fell about 5% over the last 7 days.
- Fees, commission rates and the vIOTA exchange mechanics are not stated on the homepage.
- The project is young, listed only since February 2026, so it has a short track record.
- Part of the reward comes in TLN, a project token whose value and liquidity can swing.
- Liquid staking adds smart-contract risk, and vIOTA may trade away from the value of the IOTA behind it.
- The team is not named on the homepage, and the project publishes no licence or regulatory status.
TokenLabs fees
TokenLabs does not publish a fee schedule or validator commission on its homepage. The page says only that there are no long lock-ups and no fine print, which is a claim rather than a fee table.
Before staking, check the commission shown in the staking interface, any fee on liquid staking or vIOTA redemption, and network gas costs paid in IOTA. Rewards in TLN also carry price risk that is separate from fees.
Is TokenLabs safe?
The homepage lists audits by MoveBit (February 2026), AuditOne (July 2024) and SolidProof (May 2024), with a security page linking the reports. The earlier audits predate the latest version of the contracts, so the 2026 audit matters most. The project does not publish bug bounty details or an incident history on the homepage.
Staking is described as non-custodial, but liquid staking still means trusting smart contracts, and vIOTA can lose value against IOTA if something fails or liquidity thins. Validator performance also affects rewards. TokenLabs does not state any licence or regulatory status, and the team is not named on the homepage. Only stake what you can afford to lose, and check the rules that apply where you live.

Who TokenLabs is for
TokenLabs fits IOTA holders who want staking rewards and may want to use a liquid token like vIOTA in IOTA DeFi. It is less suited to people who want a long track record, a published fee schedule or a large, deep liquid staking market.
TokenLabs FAQs
What is TokenLabs?
TokenLabs is a validator on the IOTA Rebased network. It offers native staking and liquid staking, where you receive vIOTA, and it pays IOTA rewards plus TLN rewards.
What is vIOTA?
vIOTA is the liquid staking token you receive when you stake IOTA through TokenLabs. It represents your staked position and keeps earning staking rewards, and it can be used elsewhere in the IOTA DeFi ecosystem.
Is TokenLabs non-custodial?
The homepage says staking is non-custodial and that funds stay in your wallet. It also says there are no long lock-ups and that you can withdraw whenever you want. Exact unbonding timing is not spelled out on the main page, so check the FAQ before staking.
Has TokenLabs been audited?
The homepage lists three audits: MoveBit in February 2026, AuditOne in July 2024 and SolidProof in May 2024, with public reports linked. An audit lowers risk but does not remove it, especially for liquid staking contracts.
What is the minimum stake?
The homepage says you can start from 1 IOTA. It names Nightly as a compatible wallet and says any IOTA-compatible wallet works.
How are rewards paid?
The homepage says rewards arrive every epoch, automatically, in IOTA and TLN. It does not publish a fixed APY or commission in the text, so the rate you earn can change.
Does TokenLabs charge fees?
The homepage does not give a fee schedule or commission rate. Look at the staking interface and the protocol documentation before you commit funds.
