ActiveSaros AMM Review 2026: Solana Pools With Thin Liquidity
Saros AMM is the classic pool-based exchange within the Saros suite on Solana, letting users swap SPL tokens and provide liquidity. Its liquidity is very thin, which is the main caveat.

Our verdict on Saros AMM
5.2/10Saros AMM suits Solana users who already follow the Saros ecosystem and want a simple pool-based venue for swaps, farming or staking SAROS-related positions. Its strengths are the low-cost Solana base, permissionless pools and an integrated suite with a DLMM option. The main caveat is liquidity: with only about $36,800 in TVL and falling, price impact can be high, so check quotes carefully and consider DLMM for more efficient liquidity.

What is Saros AMM?
Saros AMM is the standard automated market maker in the Saros suite on Solana. It lets users exchange SPL tokens, create permissionless pools and earn fees by supplying liquidity. It has been listed since January 2022, and the SAROS token is linked to the ecosystem.
The Saros suite has since broadened. Alongside the AMM there are farming, staking and a snapshot tool, plus Saros DLMM, a concentrated-liquidity engine that uses a Liquidity Book model with price bins and dynamic fees. A recent announcement introduced Concentrated Incentives, which stream rewards to liquidity providers near the market price.
The standard AMM, however, is small. Its TVL is about $36,800 and fell roughly 13% over the last week. That makes it a niche venue, and the DLMM product appears to be where the team's attention is going.
How Saros AMM works
Saros AMM is an automated market maker. Instead of matching buyers and sellers, it holds pools of two tokens. A trader swaps one token for the other at a price set by the ratio of the tokens in the pool, and the pool earns a fee on each trade.
Liquidity providers deposit both tokens into a pool and receive a share of the fees. The standard AMM spreads liquidity across all prices, which keeps things simple but makes capital less efficient than concentrated designs. The main risk is impermanent loss, which occurs when the relative price of the two tokens moves.
Saros also runs SarosFarm and SarosStake for additional rewards, and a separate DLMM product that places liquidity in price-specific bins. Everything runs on Solana, so transactions use SOL for fees and settle quickly.

Pros and cons
What we like
- Runs on Solana, so swaps are fast and network fees are low
- Permissionless pool creation lets new token pairs be listed
- Part of a wider suite with farming, staking and a DLMM product
- Two audits are listed for the protocol
- Long-running listing, since January 2022
Watch out for
- Total value locked is only about $36,800, so large swaps are likely to see heavy slippage
- TVL fell about 13% over the past seven days, and recent trading volume looks very small
- Pool fee levels for the standard AMM are not stated
- Audit details are not described beyond a count of two listed audits, so scope and findings are unclear
- Saros has shifted attention to its newer DLMM product, so the older AMM pools may get less development focus
- Solana-only, and providing liquidity carries impermanent loss
Saros AMM fees
The fee schedule for the standard Saros AMM pools is not given. Swap fees are normally set per pool and shown in the swap interface before you confirm, and Solana network fees apply on top.
The newer Saros DLMM product documents a base fee, a variable fee that rises with volatility and a protocol fee. Those figures belong to DLMM, not the standard AMM, so check each pool's quoted fee before trading or depositing.
Is Saros AMM safe?
Two audits are listed for the protocol, but the auditors, scope and findings are not detailed here, so read the reports in the project's documentation. The AMM is non-custodial: you swap and provide liquidity from your own wallet, so you carry smart-contract risk rather than counterparty risk.
Very low TVL adds practical risk. Thin pools are easier to manipulate and can leave you with poor execution. The project does not publish team or insurance details. Always check the token contract and pool before depositing, and only risk money you can afford to lose.
6 steps
How to get started with Saros AMM
- 1
Install a Solana wallet and fund it with SOL for network fees.
- 2
Open the Saros site and choose the swap or pools section.
- 3
Connect the wallet and review the token pair, quoted price and price impact.
- 4
For a small trade, confirm the swap and approve it in your wallet.
- 5
To provide liquidity, pick a pool, deposit both tokens and review the impermanent loss risk first.
- 6
Optionally stake LP tokens in the farm or stake SAROS, after reading the documentation and audit reports.
Who Saros AMM is for
Saros AMM is for Solana-native users who hold SAROS or want to take part in Saros pools, farms and staking. It is less suitable for traders making large swaps, who will face thin liquidity, or for anyone who wants guaranteed audited coverage without reading the reports first.
Saros AMM FAQs
What is Saros AMM?
Saros AMM is a decentralized automated market maker on Solana. It lets users swap SPL tokens against liquidity pools instead of an order book. It is part of the wider Saros suite, which also includes farming, staking and a newer DLMM product.
How is Saros AMM different from Saros DLMM?
Saros AMM is the standard pool model that provides continuous liquidity across all prices. Saros DLMM uses a Liquidity Book design in which liquidity sits in price-specific bins, with dynamic fees. DLMM is aimed at concentrated liquidity, while the AMM is simpler.
Which blockchain does Saros AMM use?
The Saros AMM runs on Solana. The project's own token, SAROS, is tied to the ecosystem. The project does not list deployments on other chains.
What are the fees on Saros AMM?
The standard AMM fee levels are not stated. Fees are shown in the swap interface before you confirm a trade. You also pay Solana network fees. The DLMM product has its own documented base, variable and protocol fee structure.
Is Saros AMM safe?
The listing shows two audits, but their scope and findings are not detailed here. No DeFi protocol is risk-free: smart-contract bugs, impermanent loss and thin liquidity are all real concerns. Check the audit reports in the project's documentation before depositing funds.
Is there enough liquidity to trade on Saros AMM?
Liquidity is very low, at roughly $36,800 in TVL. Small swaps may be fine, but larger trades can move prices noticeably. Check the quoted price impact before confirming any trade.
