Rocket Bridge Review 2026: Micro-Auction Derivatives on Its Own L1

Rocket is a self-custody onchain exchange for crypto options and perpetual futures, built on its own Layer 1 and matched in roughly 100-millisecond micro auctions. The Rocket Bridge listing is the USDC deposit rail into that exchange, and the project is brand new and unaudited on public record.

Our verdict on Rocket Bridge

6.0/10

Rocket suits experienced derivatives traders who are curious about onchain options and perps without front-running, and who accept beta-stage risk. Its main strength is the micro-auction design, paired with flat fees and self-custody trading across crypto, equities and commodities. The main caveat is maturity: the product is new, runs on its own unproven Layer 1, lists no audits, and is USDC-only with limited deposit chains. Treat it as an experiment with small funds rather than a core trading venue until it has a track record.

What is Rocket Bridge?

Rocket is a fully onchain derivatives exchange offering crypto options and perpetual futures. It runs on its own Layer 1, RocketChain, and matches orders through short micro auctions rather than a continuous order book. The pitch is fairness: every order in a block clears at one price, so being faster brings no advantage.

The Rocket Bridge listing refers to the deposit rail that moves USDC into the exchange. It is not a general swap or multi-asset bridge. Collateral is USDC only, and deposits come from Arbitrum directly, or from Ethereum and Base via rhino.fi.

The product line goes beyond crypto. Perpetuals cover tokenised equities and commodities such as gold, silver, WTI crude and uranium, and options cover BTC and ETH. A liquidity provider vault and a funding rate comparison tool sit alongside the markets.

The project is very new. The tracker listing dates from late March 2026, the site is a beta address, and the bridge shows roughly $1 in TVL. No audits, team details or licences are published in the material reviewed.

How Rocket Bridge works

Rocket is built on RocketChain, a purpose-built Layer 1 using RocketBFT consensus and an auction matching engine called RocketEngine. Instead of sorting orders by arrival time as a continuous order book does, each block of about 100 milliseconds is a single auction. Orders arriving in that window are treated as simultaneous.

At block close, the protocol builds aggregate supply and demand curves and chooses the single price that lets the most volume trade. Every eligible order fills at that price or better, and where supply and demand meet at the margin, fills are shared pro-rata. Since no order has priority for being first, the design aims to remove front-running, latency arbitrage and reordering MEV.

Traders fund a single USDC account from their own wallet. Arbitrum deposits go straight into Rocket's bridge contract, while Ethereum and Base deposits are bridged to Arbitrum first through rhino.fi. That is why the project shows up in trackers as a bridge on Arbitrum, even though the product itself is a derivatives venue.

8 features

Key features

01

Micro-auction matching

Each block runs as an independent auction of roughly 100 ms. All orders clear at one uniform price, allocated pro-rata at the margin.

02

Onchain options

Options on BTC and ETH with calls and puts across strikes and expiries, live Greeks and payoff plotting for multi-leg structures.

03

Broad perpetual futures

Perpetuals on major crypto assets, tokenised equities and commodities, settled in USDC with no expiry to roll.

04

Flat fee schedule

Maker and taker rates are the same for every trader regardless of volume, and perpetual funding is exchanged directly between longs and shorts.

05

Liquidity provider vault

Depositors can back the protocol's market making and liquidation activity through the Rocket Liquidity Provider vault.

06

Funding rate comparison

A funding rate tool compares rates across Rocket, Extended and Hyperliquid so a delta-neutral position can be opened on both legs.

07

Single USDC account

Perps, options and vault balances share one USDC account, and trades are made from your own wallet.

08

Public block explorer

Blocks and trades can be checked independently on the Rocketberg explorer.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Micro-auction matching is designed to remove front-running, latency arbitrage and reordering MEV.
  • Fees are described as flat across all volume tiers, with no protocol cut on perpetual funding.
  • Self-custody trading: positions are margined and settled onchain from your own wallet.
  • Wide market range: BTC and ETH options, plus perps on crypto, tokenised equities and commodities.
  • Deposits from Arbitrum are credited without a third-party bridge fee, and blocks can be verified on a public explorer.

Watch out for

  • Very early-stage: the site runs on a beta address and the tracker listing dates from March 2026, with about $1 of TVL recorded for the bridge.
  • No audits are listed, and the project does not publish team, licensing or insurance details on its homepage.
  • The exchange runs on its own new Layer 1, so users take on consensus, validator and chain-level risk in addition to smart-contract risk.
  • Collateral is USDC only, and deposits are supported from just three chains: Arbitrum, Ethereum and Base. Mobile deposits are Arbitrum-only.
  • Withdrawals are capped at $100,000 per day, which may matter to larger accounts.
  • Exact maker and taker fee rates are not stated in its homepage, so the cost per trade cannot be checked in advance from public material.

Rocket Bridge fees

Rocket says its fees are flat across every volume tier, so the maker and taker rate for a first trade matches what the largest desk pays. Funding on perpetuals passes directly between long and short holders with no protocol cut. The actual percentage rates are not given in its homepage, so check the trading interface before placing an order.

Deposits from Arbitrum are a direct transfer into Rocket's bridge contract, with one approval on first use and no third-party bridge fee. Deposits from Ethereum or Base go through rhino.fi, which quotes its cost and arrival time before you confirm. Normal network gas applies, and withdrawals are limited to $100,000 per day.

Is Rocket Bridge safe?

No audits are listed for Rocket, and the project does not publish audit reports, team names or insurance details in the material reviewed. The exchange depends on new infrastructure: a custom Layer 1, its own consensus and a novel auction matcher, plus a bridge contract on Arbitrum. Each is a source of smart-contract and chain risk that has little public track record yet.

Trading is self-custody, so you keep control of keys, but funds deposited into the bridge contract and margin account are exposed to protocol failure. Ethereum and Base deposits also rely on a third-party bridge, rhino.fi. Derivatives and leverage can cause losses larger than expected, and the $100,000 daily withdrawal limit could slow exits in a stress event.

The project does not state a regulatory status. Check whether derivatives trading is legal where you live, and only trade if you are of legal age. Beta products should be approached with small amounts.

6 steps

How to get started with Rocket Bridge

  1. 1

Check that derivatives trading is permitted where you live and that you are of legal age.

  2. 2

Set up a self-custody wallet and hold USDC on Arbitrum, Ethereum or Base. Use desktop if you are starting from Ethereum or Base.

  3. 3

Open the Rocket app and connect your wallet.

  4. 4

Open the deposit modal. On Arbitrum, approve USDC once and send it to the bridge contract. From Ethereum or Base, review the rhino.fi quote and arrival estimate before confirming.

  5. 5

Start with a small amount and explore the options chains or perpetual markets before sizing up.

  6. 6

To exit, withdraw USDC back to your wallet, signed by your own wallet and subject to the $100,000 daily limit.

Who Rocket Bridge is for

Rocket is aimed at active derivatives traders who want onchain options and perpetuals with self-custody and are bothered by front-running and tiered fees. It also suits market makers and liquidity providers curious about the vault. It is a poor fit for beginners, anyone who needs audited, long-established infrastructure, or users who want a general-purpose bridge.

Rocket Bridge FAQs

What is Rocket Bridge?

Rocket Bridge is the USDC deposit and withdrawal rail for the Rocket derivatives exchange, not a general-purpose bridge. From Arbitrum, USDC goes straight into Rocket's bridge contract. From Ethereum or Base on desktop, the deposit modal routes through rhino.fi onto Arbitrum first.

What can you trade on Rocket?

Rocket runs fully onchain options on BTC and ETH, plus perpetual futures on major crypto assets, tokenised equities such as Nvidia, Google, Coinbase and Strategy, and commodities such as gold, silver, WTI crude and uranium. Everything is settled in USDC.

How do micro auctions work?

Each block is an auction of about 100 milliseconds. Orders in the block are treated as simultaneous, and the protocol picks the single price that maximises tradable volume and fills every eligible order at it. Because no order has time priority, there is nothing to front-run.

Is Rocket self-custody?

The project says you trade from your own wallet and that positions are margined and settled onchain rather than held in an operator's account. You still carry smart-contract and chain risk, and withdrawals are limited to $100,000 per day.

Which tokens and chains can I deposit?

Only USDC is accepted as collateral. It can arrive from Arbitrum, Ethereum or Base. Other chains are not supported, and Ethereum and Base deposits are only offered on desktop.

What are Rocket's fees?

The project says fees are flat across all volume tiers, so a first-time trader pays the same maker and taker rate as the largest desk. Perpetual funding passes between longs and shorts with no protocol cut. The specific rates are not given in its homepage.

Has Rocket been audited?

No audits are listed on the tracker page, and none are described on the homepage. Treat it as an early beta product and only commit funds you can afford to lose.
