Our verdict on Olderfall

5.5/10

Olderfall suits curious players who want a low-commitment NFT auto-battler they can try without a wallet. Its strengths are easy onboarding, a clear Season 1 structure and USDC tournaments. The main caveat is trust: the team, tokenomics, audits and marketplace fees are not published, and one review site rates it as high scam risk. Play for free first and spend only what you can afford to lose.

What is Olderfall?

Olderfall is a web3 auto-battler in which you act as a Master of Gladiators. You train NFT warriors called Fallens, collect gear and send teams into PvP and PvE fights. Reports on Season 1 say it runs on Polygon and is available in a browser and on Android, with an iOS app listed on the App Store.

The pitch is accessibility. Players can sign up with a Gmail account, get a free Fallen and earn Battle Pass rewards without a wallet. Season 1 launched with a 60-day Battle Pass, rotating PvE challenges and weekly tournaments with USDC prize pools. The App Store shows a 4.2 rating from five ratings.

The weak spot is transparency. One review site reports an anonymous team, no published tokenomics and no whitepaper, and assigns a very high scam-risk score. The project does not publish an audit, fee table or team details in the sources reviewed. The privacy policy confirms that wallet addresses and transaction details are visible on public blockchains.

How Olderfall works

Olderfall is an auto-battler. You collect Fallens, which are gladiator characters minted as NFTs with unique stats and battle affinities. You build a team and equip gear, then matches resolve automatically. Your win rate depends on composition, gear and the day/night bonuses tied to the Hollow Court and Verdant Kin factions.

Each match costs 10 energy out of 100 per day, which refills gradually. Players can fight other players in PvP or work through PvE content such as the weekly Rotating Battle Tower. Vitrium, earned in PvE, is used to upgrade gear and will feed a crafting system for merging, enhancing or melting items.

Because Fallens and gear are NFTs, they can be traded on a marketplace after minting. Season 1 adds a Battle Pass and weekly tournaments with USDC prizes. A search listing also mentions an Immutable Hunt event with a $wAURE reward for top players, though the sources do not explain how that token relates to the game.

Key features

01

Tactical auto-battler

Players assemble teams of Fallens with unique stats, styles and affinities. Matches play out automatically, so team building and gear choices drive results.

02

No wallet to start

Signing up with a Gmail account is reported to be enough to start, and a free Fallen is provided. Wallets are optional for early play.

03

Season Battle Pass

Season 1 includes a 60-day Battle Pass with free and premium tracks. Rewards include NFT Fallens, booster chests, weapons, armor and Vitrium.

04

PvP and PvE modes

Modes include PvP, deathmatches and a weekly Rotating Battle Tower that changes difficulty and rewards over time. Combat uses energy: 10 points per match, 100 per day, regenerating every five minutes.

05

Vitrium and crafting

Vitrium is earned through PvE and spent on upgrading gear. A crafting system lets players merge gear, enhance weapons or melt unused items.

06

Faction system

Two NFT collections, the Hollow Court (vampires) and Verdant Kin (elves), have passive skills linked to a day/night cycle. Hollow Court units gain a damage bonus at night and Verdant Kin during the day.

07

Marketplace and USDC tournaments

A dedicated marketplace lets players list and buy Fallens and gear after minting. Season 1 coverage says weekly tournaments have USDC prize pools.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Free to start, with a free Fallen and no wallet required to begin, according to Season 1 coverage.
  • Clear game loop: team building, gear upgrades, PvP, PvE and a weekly Battle Tower.
  • Weekly tournaments with USDC prize pools give competitive players a stated goal.
  • Available on browser, Android and iOS, so it is easy to try.
  • Faction mechanics with a day/night cycle add some strategic variety.

Watch out for

  • One review site reports an anonymous team, no published tokenomics and no whitepaper, and rates it as high scam risk.
  • Marketplace fees, royalties and any withdrawal costs are not published in the sources reviewed.
  • No audit reports are mentioned for the NFT or marketplace contracts.
  • Search listings point to Fallen editions on more than one network (Polygon, Moonbeam, Nova), which could confuse buyers about which registry an NFT belongs to.
  • Premium Battle Pass items and rewards push players toward spending, and secondary-market values can fall.
  • The app store rating rests on only five ratings, so it says little about overall player satisfaction.

Olderfall fees

Olderfall does not publish a fee schedule in the sources reviewed. Playing is reported to be free to start, with a free Fallen and a Battle Pass that has a free track. Premium Battle Pass pricing is not stated.

One marketplace listing describes a zero-fee venue for minting and inventory updates, but trading fees, royalties and network costs on Polygon are not detailed. Users should check the marketplace and the premium pass screens before paying.

Is Olderfall safe?

No audit reports, custody details or team identities are published in the sources reviewed. One review site states the team is anonymous and flags a very high scam risk. Treat that as a single third-party opinion, but it is a reason for caution with any spending.

If you connect a wallet, the privacy policy says your address and transaction details are public on-chain. NFT and token values in games like this can drop quickly, and tournament prizes are not guaranteed. Only spend what you can afford to lose, and use a separate wallet for gaming.

Who Olderfall is for

Olderfall is for casual strategy players who like collecting and upgrading characters and are open to NFT ownership but do not want to buy in first. It is a poor fit for anyone looking for a reliable income source or for investors who need audited contracts and a documented team.
