Our verdict on LOCKON
6.3/10LOCKON suits crypto holders who want one-token exposure to a rules-based, automated basket and are comfortable with the strategy of following high-performing wallets. Its strengths are clear fees, an audit by Blaize and a non-custodial claim. The main caveat is that the performance claims are historical, dated September 2024, and partly reflect tracked wallets rather than index holders, while TVL is only about $1.1 million. Treat it as a speculative product, not a safe alternative to Bitcoin or stocks.

What is LOCKON?
LOCKON is a DeFi index product. It composes index tokens from the portfolios of wallet addresses it tracks and rates as high-performing. DefiLlama lists it in the Indexes category on Polygon and Arbitrum, with about $1.1 million in TVL and two audits, and tracks it since November 2023.
The homepage markets the product as better than Bitcoin and safer than the S&P 500 or NASDAQ. It backs this with a table dated September 9, 2024: LAI at 158.92% annual profit with a 14.61% drawdown, versus BTC at 125.69% and 33.58%. The page notes that the LAI figure reflects the returns of the tracked addresses, not necessarily what an index holder earned.
The pitch is hands-off exposure: hold one token and the system rebalances for you. That convenience comes with fees, reliance on LOCKON's wallet-selection method and normal smart contract risk. The site's own disclaimer says rates are based on past performance and are not guaranteed.
How LOCKON works
LOCKON tracks wallet addresses that it considers to have performed well over the medium to long term. It builds an index from their holdings and issues an index token that represents the basket. The homepage says it screens more than 1 billion addresses.
When you issue the token, you pay with a token you choose and receive the index token in return. An automated system rebalances the underlying holdings to follow the tracked wallets, which the homepage puts at over 1,550 rebalances a month. LOCKON says it pays the gas for these.
To exit, you redeem the index token through the app. The site says users can deposit and withdraw at any time and that LOCKON cannot control users' assets. The results depend on whether the tracked wallets keep performing, which is not guaranteed.

Pros and cons
What we like
- Fees are clearly stated: 0% issuance, 0.2% transaction and 0.5% redemption.
- LOCKON says it covers gas for automated rebalancing.
- Non-custodial claim: the project says it cannot control users' assets and withdrawals are allowed at any time.
- Contracts were audited by Blaize, and DefiLlama lists two audits.
- Simple issuance flow with payment in a token of the user's choice.
- Honest risk disclosure on the homepage that past performance does not guarantee future results.
Watch out for
- Performance figures are historical, partly represent the tracked addresses rather than the index itself, and are dated September 2024.
- A 0.5% redemption fee and 0.2% transaction fee reduce returns, especially for frequent entry and exit.
- TVL is small at about $1.1 million, which suggests limited scale and liquidity.
- The index relies on copying wallet behaviour, so results depend on LOCKON's selection method, which the homepage does not fully explain.
- Homepage says Arbitrum is coming soon while DefiLlama lists both chains, so the exact deployment status is unclear.
- No native token is listed, and the homepage shows its own TVL counter as zero, so users should verify live data.
LOCKON fees
The homepage lists a 0% issuance fee, a 0.2% transaction fee and a 0.5% redemption fee. It refers readers to its GitBook documentation for more detail on how these are applied.
LOCKON says it covers the gas fees for index rebalancing. Users still pay normal network gas when they issue or redeem tokens in their own wallet. Slippage or swap costs when paying with other tokens are not described publicly.
Is LOCKON safe?
The homepage says LOCKON's smart contracts have undergone multiple audits and names Blaize as an auditor. DefiLlama lists two audits. It also says LOCKON has no authority over users' assets and that deposits and withdrawals are available at any time. These are the project's own statements, so read the audit report yourself.
Remaining risks include smart contract bugs, market losses, and poor results if the index methodology fails or diverges from its intent. The site also notes risks from regulatory action or centralized asset providers. The project does not mention any hacks, but they also give no information on the team or regulatory status. Only use funds you can afford to lose.

Who LOCKON is for
LOCKON is for DeFi users who want passive, automated exposure to crypto portfolios chosen by on-chain performance and who accept index and smart contract risk. It is a poor fit for anyone who needs guaranteed returns, low fees on short-term trades or a large, long-established protocol.
