Echo Strategy Review 2026: Bitcoin Yield Strategies on Aptos

Echo Strategy is the yield section of Echo Protocol, a Bitcoin staking and liquidity project that runs on Aptos and Solana. It suits BTC holders who accept smart-contract and counterparty risk in exchange for estimated yields of a few percent, and it publishes little on audits or fees.

Our verdict on Echo Strategy

4.5/10

Echo Strategy suits Bitcoin holders who already hold wrapped BTC on Aptos or Solana and want to put it to work in lending or liquidity pools. Its main strength is a clear tiered layout, with three strategies labelled Safe, Moderate and Aggressive and TVL and estimated APY shown for each. The main caveat is safety information. Public listing data shows no audits, no audit reports are published, and the 30% headline APY is far above the strategy estimates. Fees are not published either. Start small and read the risks of each underlying protocol before depositing.

What is Echo Strategy?

Echo Strategy is the yield section of Echo Protocol, which describes itself as a Bitcoin staking and liquidity layer. Public listing data places it in the Yield Aggregator category on Aptos, with a listing date of 18 July 2025. The homepage says users can bridge, stake and earn with Bitcoin-linked assets, and it connects the strategies to lending markets on Aptos and Solana.

The strategy page groups its offers by risk level. Staking Strategy, labelled Safe, runs on Echo and Safe with an estimated maximum APY of 7.65% and about $26.2 million in TVL. Lending Strategy, labelled Moderate, uses Aries with an estimated maximum of 5.92%. Liquidity Strategy, labelled Aggressive, uses Cellana with an estimated maximum of 5.83%. The site also lists Echo Lending markets for assets including aBTC, zUSDT, zUSDC and APT, with utilization and borrow totals shown.

The homepage headline says users can earn up to 30% APY by staking Bitcoin on Echo's multi-chain vaults. The strategy estimates are much lower, and the project does not explain what drives the gap. Read the 30% figure as a ceiling rather than a typical return. TVL figures on the site are project-reported, and the listing data does not show a TVL for this product.

How Echo Strategy works

Echo Protocol describes itself as a layer that takes Bitcoin, turns it into tokens that other blockchains can use, and then puts those tokens to work. Bitcoin itself cannot run smart contracts, so it is represented on other networks by wrapped or bridged tokens. The homepage lists several of these, including UBTC, FBTC, WBTC and enzoBTC, plus Echo's own representations such as aBTC and mphBTC. Each token represents bitcoin held by an issuer or bridge, so its value depends on that party.

Once a user holds a supported token, Echo Strategy offers ways to earn yield. The Staking Strategy, labelled Safe, runs on Echo and Safe. The Lending Strategy, labelled Moderate, sends deposits through Aries. The Liquidity Strategy, labelled Aggressive, uses Cellana. Lending means other borrowers pay interest on assets supplied to a pool. Liquidity provision means depositing a pair of tokens into a pool that traders use to swap, earning a share of trading fees. Liquidity providers can lose value when the two tokens' prices move apart, which is why that tier is marked Aggressive.

In practice, a user chooses a strategy, checks the estimated yield and total value locked, deposits, and then earns rewards that the protocol or underlying market pays out. The published material does not explain how yields are calculated or how often they update, so the estimates on the page should be treated as indicative rather than guaranteed.

Key features

01

Tiered Strategy Options

Three strategies are labelled Safe (staking), Moderate (lending) and Aggressive (liquidity), each with its own TVL and estimated APY.

02

Echo Lending lets users supply and borrow assets such as aBTC, zUSDT, zUSDC, APT and eAPT, with some marked as usable as collateral.

03

Unified Bitcoin Assets

The homepage describes creating unified native Bitcoin assets across different ecosystems, aimed at making BTC usable across chains.

04

Echo Points Rewards

The site shows x3 and x10 Echo Points multipliers on selected products, but does not explain the points formula in the published material.

05

Multi-Chain Coverage

Strategies reference Aptos and Solana protocols, and the homepage lists several BTC representations for deposits.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Strategies are sorted into three risk tiers, which makes the trade-off between safety and yield easier to see.
  • Each strategy shows its TVL and an estimated APY on the same page.
  • The lending market displays total supplied, total borrowed and utilization for each asset.
  • It works with several Bitcoin representations rather than a single wrapped token.
  • Yield sources are named (Aries, Cellana, Echo Lending), so users can research the underlying protocols.
  • No native token is required to take part, according to public listing data.

Watch out for

  • No audits are listed in public listing data, and no audit reports, auditor names or bug bounty details are published.
  • The homepage headline promises up to 30% APY, while the strategy page shows estimated maximum APYs of 5.83% to 7.65% for the three main strategies.
  • Fees are not published on the strategy or lending pages.
  • Bitcoin is used through several wrapped or bridged representations, each adding issuer and bridge risk on top of smart-contract risk.
  • The Echo Points reward multipliers (x3, x10) are shown without an explanation of how points convert to value.
  • The Aptos vault is still marked as coming soon, so the Aptos offer is not fully live.

Echo Strategy fees

Echo Strategy does not publish a fee schedule. The strategy and lending pages show estimated APY, TVL and total supplied or borrowed amounts, but do not list performance, deposit or withdrawal fees.

Because fees are not published, the true net return is hard to estimate in advance. Check the deposit and withdrawal screens in the Launch App before confirming any transaction, and compare the displayed yield with what you would earn by holding the same asset.

Is Echo Strategy safe?

Public listing data shows zero audits for Echo Strategy. The project does not publish audit reports, named auditors or a bug bounty programme in the material available. Smart-contract risk applies at the Echo layer and at each third-party protocol the strategies use, including Aries and Cellana.

Custody is not described in the published material. Bitcoin-linked tokens carry issuer and bridge risk: if the party holding the underlying bitcoin fails or is compromised, the token can lose value or become hard to redeem. The project does not publish an incident history, insurance cover or a regulatory licence.

Echo Strategy is not a gambling product, but yields can fall and deposits can be lost. Only put in money you can afford to lose, and check the risks of each underlying protocol before depositing.

7 steps

How to get started with Echo Strategy

  1. 1

Read the Echo Protocol docs and confirm which Bitcoin-linked asset you hold is accepted for the strategy you want.

  2. 2

Open the Launch App from the official website, not from a search result or a link shared in chat.

  3. 3

Pick a strategy: Safe staking, Moderate lending or Aggressive liquidity.

  4. 4

Check the estimated APY, TVL and any lock-in period shown for that strategy. One product on the homepage lists no lock-in period.

  5. 5

Connect a wallet that supports the chain you plan to use, Aptos or Solana.

  6. 6

Deposit a small amount first and confirm the withdrawal process works as expected.

  7. 7

Track your position and reread the risk tier before adding more funds.

Who Echo Strategy is for

Echo Strategy is aimed at Bitcoin holders who already hold a supported BTC-linked token on Aptos or Solana, want to earn yield, and accept smart-contract and counterparty risk. It is less suited to users who need audited products, published fee schedules or insured deposits.

Echo Strategy FAQs

Is Echo Strategy safe to use?

Echo Strategy runs on smart contracts and depends on third-party lending and liquidity protocols such as Aries and Cellana. The project does not publish audit reports, and public listing data shows no audits, so safety cannot be confirmed from published information. Treat it as a high-risk, unaudited product and deposit only what you can afford to lose.

What APY can I earn with Echo Strategy?

The strategy page shows estimated maximum APYs of 7.65% for the Safe staking strategy, 5.92% for the Moderate lending strategy and 5.83% for the Aggressive liquidity strategy. The homepage says users can earn up to 30% APY, but that figure is a headline and is not matched by the strategy estimates. Yields change with market conditions and can fall.

Does Echo Strategy have its own token?

Public listing data shows no token for Echo Strategy, and the homepage does not name a token for the strategy product. The site refers to Echo Points, which appear as reward multipliers, but the published material does not say whether they become a tradable asset. Check the official docs before assuming any token exists.

Which blockchains does Echo Strategy support?

Echo Strategy is listed on Aptos, and the strategy page and lending market reference Solana as well. The Aptos vault is marked as coming soon on the homepage. Confirm which networks are active in the app before you connect a wallet.

What are aBTC and other BTC tokens used in Echo Strategy?

aBTC, mphBTC, mBTC and hBTC appear on the homepage as Bitcoin-linked tokens that Echo accepts for staking. Wrapped and bridged Bitcoin tokens represent BTC on another chain, and the value depends on the issuer or bridge holding the underlying bitcoin. Check who issues each token before depositing it.
