ActiveBiquid Review 2026: Liquid Staking for Bifrost's BFC Token
Biquid is the liquid staking service for BFC on Bifrost Network. It gives you stBFC or wstBFC for staked BFC, with a 7-day standard unstake and a DEX route for instant exits.

Our verdict on Biquid
6.5/10Biquid is a sensible option for BFC holders on Bifrost Network who want staking rewards without a hard lock-up. Its strengths are the stBFC and wstBFC tokens, the DeFi integrations and the two withdrawal routes. The caveats are a narrow single-token scope, a small value locked, a 7-day standard unstake and some fee ambiguity after a reported structure update. Confirm current fees and the audit scope before committing funds, and treat any DeFi use of wstBFC as extra risk.

What is Biquid?
Biquid is a liquid staking service built for Bifrost Network and its BFC token. Stake BFC and you receive stBFC or wstBFC, which stand for your staked position and can be used in other DeFi apps while rewards keep accruing.
The homepage shows a total value locked of about 277 million BFC and an APY of 8.3% at the time of capture. Outside figures put the value locked at roughly 6 million USD. The project has been listed since December 2024 and has no token of its own besides the staking receipts.
Its main selling point is avoiding the lock-up of normal staking. You can unstake after 7 days at no fee or exit instantly through a decentralized exchange. It is a single-asset, single-chain product and is mostly useful to people who already hold BFC.
How Biquid works
You stake BFC on Bifrost Network through Biquid and receive a liquid token in return. The token is either stBFC, which grows in quantity as rewards arrive, or wstBFC, which keeps a fixed quantity while each token becomes redeemable for more BFC. Behind the scenes, Biquid delegates the pooled BFC to validators it selects, and rewards are distributed every 12 hours.
The point of the receipt token is that it can be used elsewhere. On Everdex, a decentralized exchange, you can provide liquidity to the BFC/wstBFC pool. On BiFi, a lending platform, you can supply wstBFC and borrow against it. Each extra step adds its own risks, such as impermanent loss or liquidation.
To exit, you can burn the token and withdraw BFC after a 7-day unstaking period with no fee. Alternatively, you can swap on a DEX for an immediate exit, which depends on the pool's liquidity and current price.

Key features
01
Liquid staking tokens
Staking BFC returns stBFC or wstBFC, so your stake remains usable instead of being locked in place.
02
Two token formats
stBFC is a rebasing token whose balance grows. wstBFC holds a fixed balance and rises in value against BFC.
03
Managed validator selection
Staked BFC is delegated internally to validators the project describes as profitable and trusted, so users do not pick validators themselves.
04
12-hour reward distribution
Rewards are distributed every 12 hours, and the stated APY already accounts for node operating fees.
05
Two withdrawal routes
You can unstake after 7 days without a fee, or swap (w)stBFC for BFC immediately on a DEX such as Everdex.
06
DeFi integrations
The homepage lists Everdex for adding liquidity to a BFC/wstBFC pool and BiFi for supplying wstBFC as loan collateral.
07
Simple app layout
The interface has Stake, Wrap, Dashboard and Withdraw sections, with a testnet and mainnet switch and Korean and English languages.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Liquid receipt tokens let staked BFC be used in DeFi, such as the Everdex liquidity pool and BiFi lending
- Rewards are distributed every 12 hours
- Two exit options: fee-free after 7 days, or instant via a DEX
- Described as non-custodial and audited by Theori
- Clear explanation of stBFC rebasing versus wstBFC value accrual
- Simple interface with Stake, Wrap, Dashboard and Withdraw pages
Watch out for
- Only works with BFC on Bifrost Network, so it suits a narrow group of holders
- Standard withdrawals take 7 days; faster exits depend on DEX liquidity and market price
- The audit is by one firm, Theori, and no audit report details are published on the homepage
- The homepage says there are no extra fees, but a community post mentions a fee structure update, so check current terms
- DeFi uses of wstBFC add smart-contract and liquidation risk beyond staking itself
- Total value locked is small, about 6 million USD, so exit liquidity may be limited
Biquid fees
The homepage FAQ says Biquid charges no fees other than the minimal costs of running nodes and network gas fees. It says the displayed APY already accounts for node operating costs. Unstaking after 7 days is described as fee-free.
A post on the project's community page says the fee structure for Biquid staking products is being updated to support BFC burn and ecosystem operations. The details are not stated in the material reviewed, so check the app and docs for the current rate. Swapping through a DEX for an instant exit will add its own trading fees and price impact.
Is Biquid safe?
Biquid describes itself as non-custodial, which means the project says it does not take custody of user funds in a way that creates counterparty risk. It states that it was audited by Theori, a South Korean security firm, and that Bifrost Network relayers cross-verify cross-chain transactions. The homepage does not link a full audit report, and DefiLlama lists no audits for it.
Remaining risks include smart-contract bugs, validator performance, and the price of wstBFC drifting from its redemption value on DEXs. Using wstBFC as collateral or in liquidity pools adds liquidation and impermanent-loss risk. Regulatory status and team details are not published on the homepage. Only stake what you can afford to lose.
6 steps
How to get started with Biquid
- 1
Get BFC and a wallet that works with Bifrost Network.
- 2
Open the Biquid app and choose Mainnet in the network switch, using Testnet only for practice.
- 3
Connect your wallet and use the Stake page to stake BFC for stBFC or wstBFC.
- 4
Use the Wrap page if you want to convert stBFC to wstBFC for DeFi use.
- 5
Optionally add liquidity to the BFC/wstBFC pool on Everdex, or supply wstBFC on BiFi, after reading the risks.
- 6
Track rewards on the Dashboard, and use the Withdraw page for the 7-day unstake or swap on a DEX for a faster exit.
Who Biquid is for
Biquid suits people who already hold BFC and want to earn staking rewards while keeping the option to use the staked position in DeFi. It is less relevant for anyone who does not use Bifrost Network, or who needs instant, guaranteed exits at par.
Biquid FAQs
What is Biquid?
Biquid is a liquid staking service on Bifrost Network. You stake BFC and receive stBFC or wstBFC, which represent your stake and can be used in DeFi while you keep earning rewards.
What APY does Biquid pay?
The homepage shows an APY of 8.3% at the time it was captured. This figure can change, so check the live dashboard before staking. The stated APY already accounts for node operating fees.
What is the difference between stBFC and wstBFC?
stBFC is a rebasing token: your balance grows over time and stays at 1:1 with BFC. wstBFC keeps a fixed balance, and the amount of BFC each token can be exchanged for rises as rewards accrue. Converting between the two is called wrapping and unwrapping.
How do I withdraw from Biquid?
There are two routes. You can unstake and withdraw after a 7-day period without a fee, or you can swap your (w)stBFC for BFC straight away on a decentralized exchange such as Everdex. The swap route is subject to pool liquidity and price.
Does Biquid charge fees?
The homepage says Biquid charges nothing beyond node operating costs and gas fees. A post on the project's community page mentions an update to the fee structure to support BFC burn and ecosystem operations. The amounts are not given in the material reviewed, so confirm current terms in the app or docs.
Is Biquid safe?
The project describes the service as non-custodial and says it was audited by Theori, a South Korean security firm. No staking product is risk-free. Smart-contract bugs, validator problems and wstBFC price moves in DeFi can all cause losses.
How often are staking rewards paid?
Rewards are distributed every 12 hours, according to the project's FAQ.
