## What is Zephyr Protocol?
Zephyr Protocol is a private stablecoin system built on its own Monero-based blockchain. It uses three assets: ZEPH, the base coin; ZephUSD, a private stablecoin; and ZephRSV, a reserve token. The project describes its design as an over-collateralized stablecoin protocol inspired by Djed. Its stated aim is to let users interact with these assets while retaining the chain’s privacy features.
ZEPH is not the stablecoin itself. It is the asset used as collateral in the system and helps support the creation of ZephUSD and ZephRSV. ZephUSD is intended to track the US dollar, while ZephRSV represents a share of the reserve’s equity. These assets have different roles and risks, so the name Zephyr should not be treated as referring to one interchangeable token.
## What is ZEPH used for?
ZEPH is used as collateral for the protocol’s stablecoin system. When users mint ZephUSD or add ZEPH to the reserve to receive ZephRSV, the protocol uses the value of ZEPH to support the transaction. The project states that ZephUSD is backed by at least 400% of its value in ZEPH at the time of minting. That figure describes the protocol’s stated minting design; it does not mean ZephUSD is risk-free or that its market price must always remain at one dollar.
ZephRSV holders participate in the reserve’s equity. Its value is calculated by the protocol and is linked to the reserve ratio: it can fall when reserves are low and rise when reserves are stronger. The stated maximum reserve ratio is 800%, at which point the protocol stops minting more ZephRSV. Fees from minting or redeeming ZephUSD are added to the reserve, according to the project description.
## ZEPH supply and market figures
As of 2026-11-05, the reported circulating and total supply were both about 12.27 million ZEPH. No maximum supply was reported, so public sources do not establish a fixed cap. Supply can change over time, and figures should be checked again before relying on them.
On that date, ZEPH traded at about $0.20, with a reported market capitalization of roughly $2.5 million. These are time-sensitive market estimates, not a valuation or a guide to future performance. ZEPH’s price can move sharply, and relatively limited trading activity can make buying or selling more difficult or affect the price available for a transaction. The token’s past market prices do not indicate what it will be worth later. Consider the protocol’s design, reserve mechanics, liquidity and the possibility of losing some or all of the amount committed before deciding whether to use or hold ZEPH.
## Network and privacy
Zephyr is described as a native Monero-based chain, rather than a token issued on a listed external network such as Ethereum. The project says its assets inherit the chain’s privacy features. Searchable public information about the project also describes regular transfers as concealing amounts and sender and recipient addresses. Privacy features can affect how transactions are viewed and verified compared with transparent blockchains; they do not remove the need to protect wallet access or check transaction details carefully.
Public sources do not specify a consensus mechanism or hashing algorithm, so those details should not be assumed from the chain’s Monero basis alone. Before sending ZEPH, confirm that the receiving wallet supports the Zephyr network and the particular asset. Sending funds to an incompatible chain or address may result in permanent loss. Also check that you are using the intended asset: ZEPH, ZephUSD and ZephRSV serve different purposes within the system.
## Risks and storage
ZEPH carries market risk as well as protocol risk. Its value can change substantially, and the stablecoin system depends on ZEPH collateral, reserve conditions and the rules used for minting, redemption and fees. A collateral ratio does not guarantee that users can redeem an asset at a particular price or at any time. ZephUSD may not hold its intended dollar value, and ZephRSV can lose value if the reserve weakens. Privacy can also limit the transaction information visible to outside observers, so users should understand how that affects their own record-keeping and compliance obligations.
For storage, use a wallet specifically intended for Zephyr and obtain it through a source you can verify. Secure the recovery phrase offline, never share it, and consider a small test transfer before moving a larger amount. Keep software and device security up to date, and check network and address details before confirming transactions. These precautions reduce some operational risks but cannot protect against market losses, software flaws or protocol failure.
By the numbers
Zephyr Protocol in numbers
Zephyr Protocol (ZEPH) is ranked #2,231 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $2.40M and a price of $0.1955 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($2.40M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was down 5.5% over 7 days, down 45.0% over 30 days, down 77.6% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $52.31, set on Nov 23, 2023.
About 12.27M ZEPH are in circulation. No hard maximum supply is listed, so new tokens can still be issued.
24-hour trading volume was about $101K, or 4.2% of its market cap: moderate turnover.
CoinGecko groups ZEPH under Layer 1 tokens, Privacy coins.

ZEPH FAQs
What is ZEPH used for?
ZEPH is the base coin of Zephyr Protocol. It is used as collateral in the protocol’s stablecoin system and to support minting ZephUSD and ZephRSV.
Is ZEPH the same as ZephUSD?
No. ZEPH is the collateral asset, while ZephUSD is the protocol’s intended private stablecoin. ZephRSV is a separate reserve token tied to the reserve’s equity.
How many ZEPH tokens are there?
The reported circulating and total supply were both about 12.27 million ZEPH as of 2026-11-05. No maximum supply was reported, and supply figures can change.
What blockchain does Zephyr use?
Zephyr is described as a native Monero-based blockchain with privacy features for its assets. Public sources do not specify its consensus mechanism.
What are the main risks of ZEPH?
ZEPH has price and liquidity risk, and the stablecoin system depends on collateral and reserve conditions. ZephUSD’s intended dollar value and ZephRSV’s reserve-linked value are not guaranteed.
What is the market cap of Zephyr Protocol?
As of Nov 6, 2026, Zephyr Protocol had a market cap of about $2.40M, ranking #2,231 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of ZEPH?
Zephyr Protocol's all-time high is $52.31, reached on Nov 23, 2023. Its all-time low is $0.1435 (Nov 2, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of ZEPH?
As of Nov 6, 2026, about 12.27M ZEPH were in circulation; no fixed maximum supply is listed.
