What Rain (RAIN) is

Rain is a decentralized prediction market and options protocol built on Arbitrum. Users can create markets on almost any topic and trade positions in them, without needing permission from a central operator. RAIN is the protocol's own token, and it is also described as its governance token.

Public markets are resolved by an oracle agent from Olympus AI, which decides outcomes. In private markets, the person who creates the market can act as the resolver. The protocol also supports secondary trading, so positions can be traded before a market ends. It uses account abstraction, a wallet feature meant to make using the app simpler.

The name causes confusion. Several unrelated things share it: a meme coin with a holder-redistribution mechanism, a stablecoin payments company, and a mindfulness technique that uses the same acronym. This page covers only the RAIN token tied to the Arbitrum prediction market protocol. Check that any token you look up matches this description before you act on it.

What the token is used for

According to the project's own material, holding RAIN is required to access what it calls Trading Power, which is needed to take part in the platform's prediction markets. In practice the token works as an access and participation requirement, not only a tradable asset.

RAIN is also used for governance. Token holders steer the protocol through a DAO, meaning decisions are put to a vote instead of being made by a company alone. The public materials do not spell out every voting detail here, so check the project's current documentation for specifics such as proposal thresholds.

A third role is the buy-and-burn design. The protocol says 2.5% of trading volume is allocated to buying RAIN and burning it, which removes tokens from circulation. How much is actually burned depends on real trading activity, so the effect on supply is not guaranteed. Readers should treat the described mechanism as a design feature, not a promise of any market outcome.

Supply and tokenomics

The maximum supply is 1.15 trillion RAIN. The total supply is about 1.142 trillion, and circulating supply is about 714.4 billion as of 2026-11-05. That means roughly 62% of the total supply was in circulation at that point, and a sizeable remainder is not yet freely circulating.

The gap matters for valuation. At the time of writing, market capitalization was about $4.24 billion, while fully diluted valuation, which assumes all tokens in existence are circulating, was about $6.79 billion. Recent news coverage describes a token overhang and scheduled releases of locked tokens as a source of potential selling pressure. The exact schedule is not in the data used for this page, so check the project's official tokenomics documentation.

The deflationary element is the 2.5% of trading volume allocated to buy and burn. Because the supply is counted in the trillions, the price per token is very small, about $0.00594 as of 2026-11-05. A low unit price says nothing about whether the token is cheap or expensive. Market cap and supply are the more useful measures.

Chains, holding and trading

RAIN is issued on Arbitrum, an Ethereum layer-2 network. It is not the native coin of any blockchain, so you pay network fees in a different asset, usually ETH on Arbitrum. Holding RAIN means using a wallet that supports Arbitrum and adding the correct token contract.

Trading happens mainly through decentralized exchanges on Arbitrum, where you connect a wallet and swap against liquidity pools. Some centralized exchanges may also list it, but listings change, so confirm what is currently available. At the time of writing, 24-hour trading volume was about $13.4 million, which is modest compared with the market cap. Thin volume can mean wider spreads and larger price moves when you trade, especially with bigger orders.

To use the protocol itself, you connect a wallet to the Rain app and hold RAIN for Trading Power. Prediction markets involve wagering on outcomes. You must be 18 or older, or 21 or older where local law requires, and you should check that online gambling and prediction markets are legal where you live before taking part.

History and market context

The data used for this page gives no firm launch date for the token. What it does show is a wide trading range. The recorded all-time low was about $0.00222 on 2025-09-14, and the all-time high was about $0.01946 on 2026-08-25. As of 2026-11-05 the price was about $0.00594, well below the peak, with a drop of about 12% over the prior seven days. It was still up about 96% over the previous year.

Those figures show how volatile the token has been in both directions. They are historical and say nothing about what happens next. The token ranked around 26th by market cap as of 2026-11-05, which places it among the larger assets in its categories, though rankings shift often.

On our site, the Rain project is listed in the gambling category and carries a score of 6 out of 10. That is a summary assessment, not a safety guarantee. Read the project's documentation and community updates for any notable events, audits or governance decisions, since this page does not list any that were not in the source data.

Main risks

Several risks are worth weighing before touching RAIN or the protocol.

Price volatility. The token has moved from about $0.0022 to about $0.0195 within roughly a year, and sharp falls are as possible as sharp rises.

Supply overhang. With about 62% of total supply circulating, tokens still to be released could add selling pressure. Reports mention this directly.

Oracle and resolution risk. Public markets rely on an AI-based oracle agent, and private markets rely on the creator. Disputed or wrong resolutions are a real concern in any prediction market, and the quality of this system is something you should research yourself.

Smart contract risk. Bugs or exploits in the protocol or in Arbitrum can cause losses that are hard to reverse.

Regulatory risk. Prediction markets and gambling-style products are restricted in many places, and rules can change. Do not try to get around geographic limits, age checks or identity verification.

Lookalike tokens. Other assets named Rain exist, and scam tokens copy popular names. Verify the contract address from the project's official channels.

How to store RAIN safely

For anything beyond a small trading balance, a self-custody wallet gives you control over your keys. A hardware wallet paired with an Arbitrum-compatible interface is a common choice, because your private keys stay offline while you sign transactions. Write your recovery phrase on paper or metal, keep it offline, and never type it into a website, chat or support form. Nobody legitimate will ask for it.

Before buying, confirm the RAIN contract address using the project's official channels and compare it against what your wallet or exchange shows. Because other tokens share the name, a wrong match is an easy mistake. Send a small test transaction first, and remember that you need a little ETH on Arbitrum for fees.

Review token approvals from time to time. When you connect to a decentralized app, you may grant it permission to spend your tokens, and you can revoke permissions you no longer need. Use bookmarked links to reach the app, be wary of unsolicited direct messages and airdrop claims, and keep your device updated. Keeping tokens on an exchange means trusting that exchange with custody.

By the numbers

Rain in numbers

Rain (RAIN) is ranked #24 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $4.38B and a price of $0.006133 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $7.01B, so roughly 63% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.

The price was down 6.0% over 7 days, down 45.8% over 30 days, up 87.7% over the past year. It trades about 68% below its all-time high of $0.0195, set on Aug 25, 2026.

About 714.41B RAIN are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1.15T (62% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $12.9M, or 0.3% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

RAIN has token contracts on Arbitrum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
